Right. In other words, it's time to go on the Offensive.
Guess the question is then, how offensive? If we were to pivot to a full offensive on the Empire, that's not leaving as many Power actions for GUN and the Restoration. GUN, at least, we have an actual alliance. While Restoration is not taking action against us for fear of poking the bear.
GUN we may also be able to use against the Empire, given that Fall of the Empire was locked behind Black Arms collabs and we are doing one of those next turn.
We could theoretically leave them alone and try to get them diplomatically, devoting military action for the Empire, but there's no telling how long the current ceasefire will last. We want their actions, but Heart isn't immediate a need given... Eggman's 7 Heart.
Brains though. Getting the Brains action is a must.
They might not have a problem with Eggman taking a fight to Max on principle, Empire is awful and all, but they're also well aware just how dangerous an Eggman with prep and resources is. Plus not liking the idea of him conquering in general.
I want the diplomatic victories with them (really the Restoration because civilian faction), but figured that we'd take them out one way or another before focusing the Empire and that diplomacy wouldn't be viable if it took too long. But if we want to focus on the Empire in Power and maybe Trickery, that would give more time to try winning them over with Heart. Possibly Logistics and Brains if we make stuff that they'd approve of given the list of actions we got for GUN.
Keep in mind though, no matter what, Empire is a King faction. We have not actually seen them leveraging their resources against us properly.
Yeah but if we focus all in offensive then the other trouble would be that we would lack in franstruxre and military force then the other Eggman's would focus on that.
As I see it, yes and no. That's why actions are divided into categories. Power does let us build up. That was the Darc Egg Robot (other big mechs are in Logistics), promoting people, training the Darcsen, upgrading Rusty and Metal, and reinforcing territory. The last of which is the infrastructure option there.
But going on the offensive doesn't actually cost us Logistics actions, as the primary infrastructure category, beyond assigning Bumbling Minions to one category or the other.
We can also go on the offensive
indirectly, by looking at the insurgents Max is dealing with. Similarly to using the Rudies to sap at Gouji.
Yeah even more comitimennt because we just straigh up abandon infiltration on the Palace and possible will be impossible to be able to do, a real.gamble, since the Empire will tighent security regardless of the outcome.
Maybe not impossible, we don't know what future DCs will look like. Don't forget, Rouge also rolled
really low and we can get better modifiers by making Lady Ninja and using the Egg Clan rather than 4 Newtrons. 4 Newtrons also get a buff if we build new ones, going from 40 to 48. Still not as high as Lady Ninja plus Egg Clan being 61 though.
Plus Conquering Storm's Nin-nin, Egg Boss and loyalty modifiers making her better than Rouge if it's infiltration and not theft.
29 (trickery after training with Honey) + 5 (Loyalty) + 10 (Egg Boss) + 15 (Nin-nin) = 59
Rouge's got 50, but a reroll sometimes.
With Eggman's 23 Trickery and that 61 up above, we can get up to a modifier of 143. Or 134 but Rouge's reroll, if she has it at the time.
Overall, I think we need to get the Empire out, focus Clutch down (shouldn't take long), and get rid of Zavok as our immediate priorities. Then we need to make a decision. Pursue Empire, with Green Hills on the backburner, or prioritize Green Hills unification, with some actions to slow down the Empire until we're done with that.
First means picking a fight with a bigger threat, but not giving them time to build up when that's partly what has gotten us in this mess. Second means consolidating our power base to be on equal footing, but giving them that time.
Zavok needs to go after Clutch either way, because he plans to jump us when we're in a good enough position that he thinks he can win from there. He's not a huge problem given how many hero units we have and his own limits on controlling Badniks, but it could still be a moment of vulnerability at a really bad time.
