Ring-Maker [Worm/Lord of the Rings Alt-Power] [Complete]

Voted best in category in the Users' Choice awards.
It was more that Sauron didn't have the power to outmuscle the fate decreed for the Holy Hunting Hound Huan. Luthien just voiced the choice available, give up the crib or get owned and go stand before Morgoth naked "to quake under his displeasure".

So Sauron was actually capable of shapeshifting? I've always assumed he was using illusions. Ah, reading the LotR wiki, it does say he "had no less than four separate shapes" in The Silmarillion (a dark sorceror, a great wolf, a serpent, and a vampire). Other than shapeshifting and some vague mystic powers of deception it just says, "The extent, nature, and specifics of Sauron's power are largely left to the imagination. Like his master Morgoth, he was capable of altering the physical substance of the world around him by mere effort of will." Kind of disappointing, but I guess it also gives Lithos a bit more freedom to upgrade Taylor's abilities in whatever way he pleases.

Information: CAREFUL PLEASE
Got an idea for mind raping Heartbreaker.
First, turn him into an All-Loving Hero.
Second, mess with his power to force everyone in his range to hate him with every fiber of their existence.
Third, enjoy his unending misery.
careful please Easy on the ITGing. If your post ever involves the phrase 'mind raping' and suggestions for how, slow down and rethink.

Yeah... The Maia are incredibly vague in terms of what they can actually do. And Gandalf and the other Wizards, even though they are Maia, are not exactly the most extensive and detailed examples due to the nature of their presence on Middle Earth. This is in part because they had different roles or spheres of influence from what I understand.

As a Maia of Aule Sauron will always be able to create things, items of power and narratively consequential gifts. That's sort of his deal in the story and why one of his titles is the Lord of the Rings. An expression of that is him creating Bara'dur out of dark magic using the One. More generally though from what I understand of Sauron is that his greatest powers were otherworldly charisma, inhuman strength, and the ability as you showed to affect the world around him with his own will. Twisting the Song of Eru to his own ends essentially if I understand my LOTR cosmology correctly.

Sauron also appeared to Radhagast as a terrible black shadow.

*looks up* Well that happened.

Anyway yeah, if she was going to be classified by the PRT post second Trigger, they would probably give her both Master and Stranger ratings with Shaker and Brute as side ratings and then her most dangerous one being a Trump/Tinker mix.

E: Or maybe one big "Fuck no don't fight this" rating like Heartbreaker and Nilbog got.

And maybe a "Point in the general direction of the Slaughterhouse Nine" rating as well.
Ehhhhhhhhh... if Taylor is, in this hypothetical going full Sauron it might be the opposite. Because, imagine, the S9 being run by an omnicidal megalomaniac who is a better leader than Jack Slash and likely has an honest to Morgoth Cult of Evil, and is far far far harder to kill? Like the bastard child of Jack Slash and Heartbreaker.

Bad times are those.

Either that or Sauron gets pissed with how damn chaotic they are, and removes them from the equation. One of the two.

I think I'll be reading this over here, after seeing the mess that was Sb's response to 8.6. I'm not sure why I was reading it over there in the first place, given SV is my main forum; maybe i just hadn't noticed you were crossposting.

Well the more people that move over here, the more of a clusterfuck it will become. So... Yay?

You know what's the end result of this chaos?

Danny's existence won't chain Taylor down anymore.

Heartbreaker managed to destroy what little love she had from before the Locker. Emma betrayed her trust and friendship, Danny betrayed her love.

I doubt she will ever care about Danny after this. Sauron just doesn't seem like the guy who forgets nor forgives, no matter if Danny can be cured or not.

I dunno, I'd be fine with a Heartbroken (Heartbreakered?) Taylor, but I doubt very much this story is going there, for long at least :)

Come, author, bring me your twists and your shocks! I care not for our hero's success, for strength, for "competence" - only novelty can slake my lust! That's why they're called novels :p

Also chaos! There must be sufficient amounts of chaos!

"Form up!" the captain ordered, ignoring him. "Keep your eyes open! She could come from—"

Then he gurgled and fell, a tranquilizer bolt in his neck. "Fuck!" exclaimed another trooper, waving his foam gun wildly. "What the fuck! How—"

As soon as my hand was free, I flexed my fingers. Lighting lanced forth, a burst of crackling electricity. It buried itself in the captain, and he was cast back, ten or fifteen feet, landing in a crumpled heap in the middle of the road.
Wee bit of a continuity error here.
