The only reason this is too fast is because my alerts keep refusing to admit that this thread updated.

[x] Join the First Wave (Elevated initial risk, if anything goes wrong in the boarding, it'll happen to you first. Gains second pick of the spoils after the Command Team. +1,000 Favor.

[X] Join the Command Team(High risk, as everything is going to be after you, but you'll be surrounded in extremely powerful allies. Gains first pick of the spoils. +2,000 Favor

This seems pretty clear as a choice. Is it risky? Yes. But we also need the other leaders to respect us enough that they'll think twice about messing with us.

I've been told I've been going too fast lately :(

The only time I felt things may have been going too fast is when we get told extra information part way through the voting period and some of those who voted early may not have seen the new choice they had before voting closed.
Apart from that I really like the fact that this quest updates fast, it's great not to need to wait for too long to find out what will happen next.

The day that I discovered this quest, it updated three times. Needless to say, I was very happy.

Question: how old are we now? I can't tell if years or months have been passing.

How do you know? I am having trouble reading the stats. No idea what level means what. Except for 10 being legendary.
I am not entirely sure about the mechanics, too much chaff when searching online from spinoffs and the like.
But at its core you use opposed checks and roll d6s and add your stat. So lets say we are fighting some normal soldier with a melee score of 1, ours is 8. We both roll d6 and add to that. Dude is up shit creek without a paddle. I have no idea of the mechanics beyond that though

I admit I like the speedy updates not only as it continues the quest but it also stops people from making those long 50 step plans that everyone argues about for 3 months

Does seem pretty straightforward so far, could I get a tally to see if it really is worth just proceeding?

I know 2700 was our current favor but what was it being compared to?
My guess is 2500 was the level we had to be at to sit at the big kids table in this meeting. We were in the room with all the top brass when they revealed their plan, which means we've been acknowledged as a force great enough to be counted among them, if only just.

By the way, what was this bit in the turn based on?

I know 2700 was our current favor but what was it being compared to?
A threshold for how much the gods liked us and therefore, by extension, how much the other people in the room thought that we deserved to be there. Presumably us passing it meant that they regarded us as being in the same league as them. Barely.

Edit: Perfectly ninja'd, down to the qualifier on the last sentence.

Guess we'll know what level of favor to keep above then.

It'll be better in Arc 3 when we aren't having to constantly burn favor just to speak with someone.
