Putting the Craft in Warcraft

Or, you know, we could just get used to the change. There are plenty of people with only one eye, you know. Lends character.
The issue is, as a smith we need to do lots of precise hammerblows, which is gonna be a bitch without depth perception.

We should point out that her father screwed himself when he had our eye used as the link to hurt us with.

Plus, if we can fix it, why wouldn't we? I literally can't think of a single reason why we would want to live with only one eye, especially as it is a constant reminder of our slavery.

Her father didn't, Gul'Dan did.
Her father owns us. He pobably asked for a way to guarantee that we would work for him. The idiot then allowed Gul'dan to pull out our eye for that.
Because we could be doing other things, I guess? On the other hand, I wonder what ELSE we'll be able to see with a magical eye...
What other things do you think we are going to do? We need depth persecution to do anything.

That would be such a waste though. I prefer molten copper and red hot bronze balls as a reference to Buddhist Hell.

Well, gem a true seeing can see all hidden things. So you can't stealth or try to illusion your way past somebody.

Transformations still work on them though since the druid/dragon is changing their actual body. But you might be able to see magic or auras with it too.

Clarifying the timeline here.

Gul'dan got really, really pissed when he woke up and got ambushed with the order to break Stormwind. After he did the infernal rain he quite literally ripped a poor knight's soul out of his body and then interrogated it. Once done he got a few Orc mercs that guarenteed that they would get the job done, and sent them to capture Wayland.

He then took Wayland and ripped out the man's eyeball. He then used Fel magic and the sympathetic connection to craft the little trinket. Gul'Dan then presented Wayland to Doomhammer as a 'tribute'. He assumed that Doomhammer was going to torture Wayland for a few months, and then kill him.

Doomhammer had other plans. He hired a bunch of Goblins, and paid them literal cartloads of gold. He then gave them Wayland too, with the orders to make use of him.

Do as the Worshipers of Khorne do, dip his head in molten brassLight-infused gold and have it as a trophy.
That would remove the whole Gul'Dan's skull issue later down the line.

Does Doomhammer realize that Gul'Dan kind of fucked over his plan to make use of us when he ripped out our eye?

Orc culture is strongest lead, weakest follow. Plus there is the whole fact that the Wayland's in an enemy fortress with several minders, and can be placed under unimaginable pain if he tries to escape.
Doomhammer comes from a clan that is famous for their smiths. If anyone knows how important an smith's sight is for their work it's him. I wouldn't be surprised if he had Gul'Dan tortured for fucking his plan over.

Well, problem with that is the orcs haven't actually practiced their smithing in Years. And have kind of let that part of their culture die by the wayside like many other parts of their culture after embracing demonology.

Also, as much as Doomhammer knows Gul'dan is a lying, conniving, bastard. He needs Gul'dan to counter the human spellcasters. Not to mention we're an enemy hostage thing.

So s'long as we're not dead, and can work. I don't think he'll do anything even if he might feel sympathy or what have you.
