[X] Fate Point on Blackrock Mountains
[X] Blasted Lands
You were driving away the dregs of the undead from the elven lands when it hit. While the battle had been massive, it hadn't really required much effort to turn once you had arrived. A combination of your new power and good fortune to hit them right at the best time. Casualties were heavy on the elven side, and their defenses were in tatters. But your intervention had prevented the magical nexus called the sunwell from falling into scourge hands.
So when it the pulse of malevolent magic reached into your core self, you were lucky to simply fall. Tyrygosa landed right beside you the second you hit the ground, and threw up her best arcane shield. You only half understood her question, and instead simply focused on keeping yourself intact. Fortunately it didn't last long, but you could feel almost a connection to what was on the other end.
"Wayland!" Tyrygosa's voice finally penentrated the pain, and you looked up at her.
"I'll live." You mutter and shift your draconic bulk to get to your feet. "Somethin' terrible happened." You mutter.
An arcane message pings your head the second you say that. Not sent with anything like subtly. You wince just a bit and Tyrygosa looks at you with concern.
"Deathwing lives." Only two words, but you snarl to yourself.
"Onto Unity!" You order Tyrygosa, and lift off. "Deathwing came back somehow. We have to get to the Blasted Lands."
Your partner curses and begins to follow. "How!? They would have to have an immense amount of power, and we had guards there!"
"I don't know!" You flap onto your ship and transform into human form.
A few switches flipped and you slam Unity into full power. The Dryads on the ship are quiet for once, feeling something horrible on the horizon. The entire trip is made in silence.
Your ship roars over Deathwing's former rest to an unwelcome sight. A veritable army of bones is fighting at where the Dragon had died. At the center of it all is a large Black Dragon, and a Lich at the side of it. The Lich is cackling as it lobs a few spells here and there.
The fighting is lopsided in numbers. On one side is the skeletons, the other a small squad of alliance soldiers. As you watch you see a flash of lightning, and see Prince Varian.
"Well, this I can help with." You mutter, and hit the array for the your arcane barrage.
The blasts rain down around the lich, and annihilate half the skeleton forces.
Then the Black Dragon lets out a horrible scream, and a skeletal monster rips it's way out of her belly. You feel mildly sick at the sight, and make to destroy it. You don't expect the bloodstained and horrific thing to immediately lift into the air and towards your ship.
Fortunately you have an active blink spell to move it, and the undead monstrosities' flight misses as Unity 'skips' through reality. Tyrygosa immediately gets out of the array and onto the deck. You see the Dryads throwing flaming spears at the skeleton dragon, but they aren't doing as much as you would like.
Then Tyrygosa rams bodily into the thing and it cracks. Then starts to ice over as you see her flare in magic. It freezes in place, and then she dives down with it in her front legs. She hits the ground with a titanic explosion of arcane magic that leaves a massive crater. Her blue draconic form walks out of it, and you see snowflakes form as she inhales.
The rest of the skeletal army is frozen solid, and the Lich looks back at her.
You can't tell the expression, but you can see him make the arcane gesture to teleport. Personally, you aren't going to allow that, and you force your newborn aspect's magic into a brute force counterspell.
The lich looks at his hand almost comically as Tyrygosa begins to charge at him.
You will say this, he's a good caster. The blink is smooth and seemless, and the icy talons he uses to lock the dragoness into place is spectacular. In fact if you weren't fighting him, you'd be more impressed. As it is you start to lock your ship into place and try to decide what your plan is.
"LIGHT!!"
A miniature sun glows where the black dragon lay. It's bright enough that even you see afterimages of it. And you are in the air almost a full mile away. You blink a few times from your place at the bow of your boat, and then see the Black Dragon heave herself off and scream as she charges at the Lich.
His form skips as he casts blink, but if anything that enrages the dragoness more, and she screams even louder.
The resulting fire breath that comes from her mouth is something that you've never seen in your life. It annihalates the lich, and leaves a literal molten line.
You shift into dragon form and start to fly down. Tyrygosa manages to free herself by the time you hit the ground, and she doesn't look happy at the sight of the Black Dragon.
"Onyxia." She growls out.
The Black Dragon says nothing. She just curls up on herself, and snarls at anything that even seems like it's going to move on her.
"Hush." Bolvar moves forward before you can even think about what to do, and you ready yourself to intercept the Black.
She doesn't react to his movements though, and you are just a bit confused. He's even able to pat her on the head, and as far as you know even other Black Dragons wouldn't tolerate that.
