Putting the Craft in Warcraft

Personally I'm just disappointed that we're not getting other heroes to help out...
The Alliance should have some heroes at least, shouldn't they?

In that case, I'm voting for using one fate point on the elves at the same time to push it into a better victory.

[x] Fate point to Arthi Highlands
[x] Personal intervention elves
[x] Fate point on the elves

further ensuring the protection of the sunwell and retaining more elven forces should be useful for the climax, since they would be more grateful and have more people left to help us out. we will still have 2 more fate points to use at the end.

So. Many. Characters. Damnit.

My weakest point is a lot of characters, and this is pushing it hard. I think I'm managing, but it's damned hard.
Eh, sorry.
Was just hoping there would've been a chance to have Varian and his wife do something.
Unless they're doing it later...

Get Thrall to the Highlands so he can stalemate the Legion by preventing the bridge's repair via his HAX shamanism.

Wait, we are able to use a fate point and personal intervention on the same thing?
Huh.

Although... with personal intervention to the elves I would be tempted to put the second fate point on Lordaeron. Still preventing the scourge from gaining the giant magical battery that is the Sunwell and fucking up the elves overides everything I guess.

Kel'Thuzad looked at the image in his scrying spell. Inside the steel colored dragon touched down next to a blue colored one. Then spears rained from the sky in front of them both. If he knew draconic expressions well enough, they seemed almost amused. He could admire that. The spell being used was actually fairly complex, and considering the recent transformation, it was obviously made recently.

He would even be impressed had it not been happening on his own forces. He waved away the spell. "The elven attack prong has been decimated. The push has stalled."

"This Wayland is become quite the nuisance." The Dreadlord's voice was smooth and melodious, but the darkness behind it was unmistakable. "Combined with the other failings of your forces, and one would think that you were not committing quite fully."

"You are free to look into it." The Lich pointed out conversationally. "All I can say is that we are fighting entrenched and prepared forces. I would have liked a few more years to... Properly subvert a few more areas, but I understand your desire for urgency."

"I suppose. There have been some points of progress at the very least. Arathri Highlands is secured at least? That bridge would be very useful." The Dreadlord replied back.

Kel'Thuzad would wince if he were able and calls up another spell. "Destroyed unfortunately. The Horde has a shaman and a mage who were powerful enough to breach the defenses temporarily. The bridge couldn't withstand the earthquake."

"And we are back to the thought that you aren't properly commiting." The Dreadlord sighs. "I suppose I should be grateful that this was mostly a distraction from the main goal."

"Main Goal?" The Lich turns to face the Dreadlord fully. "I was not informed of this."

"You were responsible with other things. This was a subtle direction." The demonic grin on the Dreadlord's face would send lesser beings fleeing in terror. "Your forces might have been annihilated at Dalaran, but we gathered the appropriate reagents for the next step. I will be needing your power."

The undead being sighed in reply, and began to float towards Tichondrius. "Very well. Where too?"

"Across the world..." The reply faded out as the teleportation spell took hold of them both and wrenched them.

Had he a body left, Kel'Thuzad would have wretched. The teleportation had been nothing gentle. Horribly done and shoddily controlled. About the only good thing about it had been the distance it had covered. He looked up into the sky and tried to identify the area. It took a few minutes. Yes, he was correct.

"The Blasted Lands." The Lich spoke. "The Alliance and Horde have guards here."

"They did. Even have a keep further North that has been recently reinforced. You would know those there. Prince Varian and his cohorts somehow heard of our gaze looking at this." The Dreadlord laughed. "Had we managed that bridge, they might have even been needed there. Thanks to your failure though, this will have to be rushed."

Kel'Thuzard looks back at the Tichondrius. "You subverted the guards I assume."

"We have six hours. I will be helping you with the spell." The demon began to walk down the mountain.

There, in the valley below them was the target. A corpse of a being killed in the Third War. A monstrous dragon corpse. It was untouched. Flesh putrefying, and still decaying after all these years. Nothing could live around it for miles. The poisonous blood and molten heat still wafting off it killed anything that got close. Guarding it was a nightmare, and removing it impossible with even remote creations. The poisonous area around it was that potent. The corpse of Deathwing.

"Magnificent." The lich comments softly before he turns to the demon accompanying him. "Would we be able to control him though? A mortal is easy, but the aspect of earth?"

"I think we can subvert that somewhat." The Dreadlord seems amused as he replies. "A few cultists have recently managed to commune with the spirit. He lingers still here you know. Spiteful and angry." He laughs. "He will not fight the initial binding. Something about his aspect being stolen. Oh the rage he felt. It even made the mountains around shake just a bit."

"He will willingly submit then?" Kel'Thuzad mutters and thinks. "We will need further power to be certain he stays loyal though. I am not foolish enough to revive something of this temperament without some sort of insurance."

"After he's up, we will have at least a week before he could conceivably slip the leash." Tichondrius replies back. He looks serious for once. "The first action we will be doing is summoning my master. He will be able to further keep the leash held. I understand the caution in this. But the Burning Legion is coming, and with it their terrible power."

"So be it then. I can start the ritual." The lich begins to approach the body.

The night goes dark, and the magics from the lich starts to rise. The few cultists there are more for guards than anything else. Had they attempted to raise the dead dragon, they would have been annihilated by the power required. Even Kel'Thuzad feels the strain. Without the Dreadlord, he has to admit that he would have not been even able to attempt this. It's a massive effort that taxes his skills to the utmost.

So he's understandably annoyed when the fireball impacts one of the guards. "Who dares?!" He can only turn and look.

A woman and a man. Lady Katrana and Bolvar. Both of them are up on the hill. "Told you! Run, get reinforcements!" The woman hisses back to her husband.

"Damnit Katrana, you expect me to leave you?" Bolvar replies back and blocks a shadowbolt with his hammer.

"I expect you to do the right thing you damned idiot! You don't have range!" Katrana's hands glow and another fireball hits one of the cultists. They duck for cover.

Kel'Thuzad is being protected by a few shields, but he knows if the woman gets closer she can likely remove them.

"Light protect you." Bolvar states softly. "Fine woman, but stay alive!"

Katrana laughs. "Who's the one bailing you and your friends out?! Go!" She glances back at him. "I have letters in my lockbox. The prince and you know where they are. Remember those." She states softly as the man starts to run.

"It's just a lone woman!" One of the cultists cry out. "For the master advance!"

"Tch. I'm going to enjoy this." Katrana's form starts to shift and grow.

The black dragon that was lying beneath the form grins down at the suddenly far less brave cultists. Her massive wings expand, and she takes a deep breath. They barely have time to scream as they become ash and smoke. Casually she starts to walk forward to where the two remaining beings are still casting.

"I wonder if you realize how many spells I put around this body to alert me?" She muses in a growling, quaking voice. "You are about halfway done based on what they are telling me. You don't dare stop either or the backlash would be... Painful."

Kel'Thuzad would be sweating if he could still do so. She's right about that.

"Those little mana shields won't last that long either. So you are in a right bad position." The woman turned dragon laughs softly. "And I have a special spot of hatred for those who would think to bring back that one."

"I suppose I should be scared." Tichondrius states. "But I actually did see the spells on the body. Did you know a dragon's touch is very distinctive? I knew exactly what spell to prepare. This particular animation would go so much faster with an appropriate sacrifice."

The dragon's eyes widen, and she steps back as the Dreadlord's spell envelops her as well. The scream she makes is unworldly, and Kel'Thuzad feels the power surge in his spell. What should have taken hours, now suddenly speeds ahead.

Deathwing's body begins to shift. The flesh hisses as molten fire blasts out of the open wounds. Molten earth drips from the gaps in his flesh, and one massive paw shifts.

The dragoness Onixia whimpers as the titan moves and chuckles.

"And I have become death." Deathwing gets to his feet.

"Oh, look she's still alive." The Dreadlord turns to the dragon as he finishes.

"I suppose another dragon wouldn't be amiss." Kel'Thuzad mutters and looks over the whimpering form of Onixia.

"Leave her." Deathwing flaps two massive skeletal wings, and reaches forward with one claw. It presses into her back and it flares with green light. The broodmother screams. "Let her suffer. She will die as her children are corrupted and devour her from the inside out."

The lich examines the curse in interest. Now, that was a spectacularly cruel thing to do. But the corruptive aspect was very interesting. Undeath through touch. He would have to remember to work on that later. There might be ways of exploiting it.

"Now, onto the rest of the summoning." The dreadlord ignores the byplay and turns towards Deathwing.

The beast sprays out a gout of fire and brimstone and shakes his body. Then he looks at the Deathlord. "One thing first. I have one last of my former brood to deal with. It wouldn't do to leave more loose ends." Deathwing lifts into the air, and the Dreadlord sighs.

"Oh dear." He turns back to Kel'Thuzad. "He's heading for Blackrock mountain. I suppose that's a good a place as any."

"I will return to Northrend." The lich states. "First though, I wish to see this spell to the conclusion. For one just recently revived and initiated into Necromancy, it's quite inspired."

You may arrive at the following areas:
Blackrock Mountains - Desperate attempt to interrupt Blackwing...
Ironforge - The Gnomes have something big almost done!
Blasted Lands - Prince Varian and his friends attempt to destroy a lich and save a friend.

Let's not go near deathwing. We aren't ready for him yet. I would rather save Onyxia as well.

I, hm, I think we might want to go for the blasted lands to destroy Kel'Thuzad.
...Can we send the ship up to the Aspects?
Because Mister Magic on that enhancer should be able to kick all kinds of ass.

Ah crap. Frigging hell... So we have to either save Onyxia, or try to stop Deathwing. Just who is he going for anyways? what one last of his brood is he talking about?
