I am not sure abaout the effects of losing economic stability, but i really don't want to discover it. We can always buy the bed next turn after we have more money saved.

It has HP, we will be fine. The Windfall we get from our Job goes into paying off that excess, and we don't run into actual Problems until we spend multiple turns in the red.
