Wonderful news everyone, the massive thunderstorm we suffered yesterday got followed up by an intense freak windstorm that knocked out power for most of the city. Power only came back on a little while ago so rather then tying the rolls into the vote like I'd usually do I'm going to post them here.

Edit: Okay, so results, You absolutely cleaned house this week at work. Max windfall from overperforming at your job limit has been revealed. You gained 5 windfall from overshooting the DC, the remaining three points have been rolled into your raise pool for a total of 5/10. The windfall bonus from spells totals at 5 additional windfall. Earning you a net total of 10 windfall, with four gross after purchases and bills. Mabel is appropriately grateful that you're improving her business with your magic. Your date with Sundrop went beautifully. Revealing some juicy secrets (sadly nonmagical) and resulting in you being asked to stay the night. Learning with Phlecket went well, earning you a new spell which will be described below. You successfully generated two Motes and Six Embers, bringing your new totals to 2/40 and 8/13 respectively, and your attempts to curry favor with Phlecket's court earned you a total of seven favor, bringing your new total to 12.

New Spell: Poison Kiss: You command the Undines to lavish the target with the painful touch of their kiss, sapping the Target's vitality. (Roll your Phlegm against a Target's Elemental Mystical protections (Defaults to their phlegm if no protections are present, some protections apply regardless of the Magical attack type). If successful, roll 1d6 to see how many Undines follow your command, then multiply that by half your phlegm to determine how many physical damage dice you roll (For example: roll result equals 3, so you roll 6d6 of damage.)) (Costs 2 favor)

Looks like the Icy Death Spirit came to visit your town searching for Camilla.

Great! Now we have lots of money to purchase books, materials and magical items!

Maybe next turn we should start looking for books on stuff we want to know.

A book on Runes could be usefulto both create a staff and Improve our new Warding Charm.

Your date with Sundrop went beautifully. Revealing some juicy secrets (sadly nonmagical) and resulting in you being asked to stay the night.

Camilla got lucky it seems, that's our girl!

Wow, we have a VERY big container for Motes.

It must be related to one of our traits.

Nice spell, could be useful as an alternative for damage dealing to Blastburn. Since blowing up stuff is kind of dangerous and attracts lots of attention.

Looks like the guess was right and Motes are held by our Phlegm.

It's funny, that for all Camilla's core is fire magic, she's actually much more terrifying at water magic. Poison Kiss can potentially hit as hard as Blastburn and it doesn't actually have the same level of collateral involved. It's also technically a spiritual attack so it can bypass purely physical defenses.

That being said @Useless Writer , are we going to be able to learn more of these spells after we've gotten to 200? Or does getting to 200 just give us a Mystical Trait (Or Boon) and reset the counter while raising the level to upgrade it, while we keep learning new spells until we've gotten the whole list?

Financial Damage is already paid off, and we got +1 overflow. We got a net +4 Windfall after all expenses, putting us at 5. More than enough to get some B O O K next turn.
Didn't see anything indicating it was already paid off. I figured if it was getting paid off here, then the math Useless Writer presented would make sense. That said, yeah, GET BOOK.

The real thing about Fool's Gold is that it doesn't create money from nowhere, it just... Slightly nudges the odds so that people decide to come in when they otherwise might ahve been on the fence, I think. That's why it's reasonably safe to use at our current level.

What books do you want to buy?

I am in favor of Runes, Necromancy and Demonolatry.

Just Runes for now, we've already got two learning projects at this point when we include that.

Basically this, Mortal magic can't make something from nothing. A novice wizard makes a money sigil and the spell causes someone to drop a five dollar bill they would have otherwise kept for themselves somewhere the wizard will find it. An intermediate wizard will do a big ritual to call the Archangel Michael before them and ask for him to make them rich, Michael responds with "You live in the wealthiest country in the world, you're already rich by the standards of millions of others." and does nothing for the wizard. A Master wizard calls up the Archangel Michael for the same task, but asks him to tend to their stock portfolio and make it grow, which Michael does handily assuming the offerings in exchange are worth his time.

The Supernatural Branch of the IRS is feared in all the Cosmos! They would hunt you down even in the depths of Hades to make sure you give Uncle Sam its due!

The supernatural branch of the IRS was defunded by congress when it attempted to audit a handful of senators who were performing blood rituals to increase their personal wealth. This was after they tried to outfox a fey lord and lost some of their best Auditor mages.

And of course, that's just Mortal Magic, not even proper Cultivation shit which we're just poking around the edges of, huh?

Oh yeah, you broke several laws of physics by modern scientific understanding when you melted your bathroom. Whats one more violation? Of course, generating gold or other precious or rare earth metals and trying to sell them on the open market can have other issues that'll bring a number of governmental and corporate entities down on you.

That's a bad way of making money anyway. The real value is in the Peer Economy.

So also speaking of Windfall, the maximum bonus gain being 5 means that DC 23 is our breakpoint. We have a 2/3s chance of getting that on 7d6, which we can meet with an extra die, or when we boost Yellow Bile to 4. Now, if we do both, the odds jump to ~87%, and we'll have a greater than half chance of getting a total of 28, which will finish off our raise pool.

Very soon, we may make money a non-issue.

I am not even remotely surprised by any of that.

Depends on whether Cult of Typhon is recognised as a religion in US. :thonk:

Wicca is, so its possible to have a pagan religion recognised.
