Chapter 1 - Back to school 15
[x] Your favorite food?
-[x] Uncle's cooking, how the heck does he do that...
[x] Favorite subject if your really had to choose?
-[x]Geography
[x] Talk about something else.
-[x] The afternoon.
--[x] Is Evelyn looking forward to trying anything?

--[x] Any recommended sites that Kishi can think of?
--[x] Plan something?
---[x]Perhaps we could take Evelyn out on the town to see what it's like and feel more at home

You hesitate a bit under the questioning gazes and try to think on it. You are still not entirely sure about your preferences, but you figure you need to give them something to go by.

"M-my favorites... I-I think my uncle's cooking is the best? I-I have no idea how he manages to do something so good, so fast, and in such amounts... But the results are delicious."

Kishi nods in agreement. It seems like she quite enjoyed the meal you had in your apartment yesterday, and, honestly, for a damn good reason. Searching for your favorite school subject is harder, though, and you have to think rather hard about it before offering an answer.

"I-I think my favorite subject is geography? I-I do find other cultures interesting, and would like to travel around the world when I get older."

"You know, if you ever get to do that, I'd like to show you around France sometime. It can be quite beautiful..."

You nod in response to Evelyn's suggestion: that doesn't sound so bad, should you actually get to it some day. Still, chances are that kind of things are quite far away from you, but a girl can always dream. However, that does bring your mind back to the fact that you are supposed to be the one giving a tour to her.

"S-say, Evelyn, do you have anything to do this afternoon? I-I was thinking that maybe we could show you around the city to help you fit in and feel more at home here."

Evelyn manages only a stunned nod and you clasp your hands together in delight of having gotten friends to spend time with you for the afternoon.

"G-great! Is there anything you'd like to try out in particular? A-also, Kishi, any suggestions for places to visit?"

"Not sure really... Are there any places you like to hang out in particular?"
"N-not at the m-moment... B-but I think w-we should prepare for n-next lessons, t-the break is a-almost over..."

You take a look at the clock bolted to the upper wall in the cafeteria, and sure enough you don't have much time left on the break. You turn back to the other girls and see Evelyn reading a crumbled paper.

"Seems like we have English next, and then double gym..."
"I-I have h-history and t-then the s-same gym too. I-it seems t-that we have a s-shared group this y-year."

Well, looks like you'll have an extended break after the class, considering the doctor's orders. Then again, no one would probably find out if you joined in...

Unless you have some kind of master plan hatched, I recommend at least deciding on something for the Gym time.

Either the books or Science...

Go for books. Find a common ground. That Twilight novel had some strong reactions and Tamiko should find out why. :V

Yeah, save the SCIENCE! for when we don't have to worry about collateral damage, and we really need to study up on our swordsmanship.

@DrZiztah

Going back through the archives, when Tamiko and Kishi were hiding from the knights of the Witch Dinah, did you roll dice? And if so, did you do so for both characters? Just curious, because we do have conversation and tactical rolls, and you usually share the results with us.

Considering recent speculation, this seems like it might be pertinent,

Granted I doubt gym is going to be that physically stressful for a magical girl, but we really should be taking it easy so Tamiko's ribs can heal.

@Storyteller

I don't always share the dice results, mostly when they are irrelevant to your actions. I don't think I rolled for the sneak in regards to hiding from Janos and Zawisza, but they would have gone for Kishi regardless.

The rest of the lunch passes in a blur as the three of you quickly go through the remains of your meals, before you and Evelyn part your ways with Kishi and go to your class room together. The lesson passes quite quickly too, with you paying token attention to what's going on in the class.

After the bell rings to signal the start of the gym class, you stay behind as the rest of the class rises up and heads for the lockers. All except Evelyn who stays behind and looks worriedly at you.

"Tamiko, are you not coming?"

You shake your head in response. The doctor had ordered you to take it easy, and you see no reason to go against that.

"N-no, I have orders from a doctor to not participate in any exercise. I-I got into an accident last week, you see..."

The worry on her face doesn't abate a single bit with the news, but several of your classmates break into the moment to ask her to follow them. She helplessly looks between you and the crowd before getting practically dragged away by them. You sigh in reaction and turn to your bag to grab one of your books.

You have a good amount of free time to read here, so you decide to put it to good use. The Harry Potter book is still back in your apartment, so you can't continue it, but you can go over the books about sabre-fighting. You pick up the first one that is about the basics and open it.

In the two hours that follow the departure of the rest of the class, you manage to go over a good chunk of the book and believe that you have attained a greater insight into using your Magical Girl sabre. You might need to find the time to put it into practice, however.

Unfortunately, you don't have that much time to do anything more as the people start returning from the gym and taking their seats. The room is filled up by a steady stream of people coming for the last lesson of the day. Evelyn is one of the last to arrive being escorted by a group of students that enthusiastically talk with her.

You look as she sits down next to you again and leans tiredly against the back of her chair.

What do you do?
