Chapter 2 - Resolution 17
[X] Maybe stop making Ami feel like a fish out of water and talk about something else?
-[X] School and Harry Potter!
-[X] What do they do for fun nowadays?

You suddenly realize something very important, straighten up, and turn a bit to take a look behind your two friends, at the rather unsure-looking Ami. You almost forgot she was there! She must be feeling quite left out there, being the only non-magical person in the room and thus without anything to say or add to the current conversation…

...You're being quite rude to her here. Magical Girl friends can wait, it's a day for perfectly normal friends without any magic!

"Yeah, that can wait for later," you half-heartedly agree to Matsuko's suggestion, and let go of the transformation in a flash of bright white light. "But anyways, that's enough about Magical Girls, don't you think? You have other life besides that…" You frown unsurely as you fall back down on your chair. "Right?"

"Debatable,"
Matsuko waves you off with a smirk, before turning to give Ami an apologetic look too. "But anyways, sorry about the distraction! We got a bit sidetracked here. Weren't we planning on doing something here?"

"Yes, I was hoping to share our stories and experiences over some tea and biscuits,"
Ami answers you brightly, clearly happy about the change of topic, before turning quite sheepish. "Oh, I forgot to set the kettle to boil. Just a second!" The girl immediately starts hustling around the closets and shelves, hurriedly searching for everything she needs.

At the same time, both Yuujin and Matsuko take seats around the table and drag their chairs closer to each other while you wait for Ami to finish her shuffling.

It doesn't take long, and soon you're all sitting around the table, waiting for the water to boil.

"So anyways, how's the school for you two?" you quickly blurt out to get the ball rolling. "I mean, is Shirome nice? Do you like it there?"

"Eh, it goes,"
Yuujin shrugs, turning a bit contemplative in her demeanour. "Can't really think of anything obvious to complain about… Maybe that small undercurrent of pompousness?"

"That's just you being a slacker, Yuyu~!"
Matsuko playfully shoots back, giving Yuujin's arm a small jab. "It's not like it's the school's fault you manners rub the teachers the wrong way!"

"For the record, they started it."

"Oh, you don't get along with your teachers? Why is that?"
Ami asks with concern.

"...We have some differing ideas about a lot of stuff," Yuujin answers evasively. "How's the International, though? I hear it's pretty tough." She doesn't know the half of it…

"Northern Mitakihara Middle School is a pleasant place, even if the level of work can get somewhat difficult sometimes," Ami acknowledges and turns to you. "Right, Tamiko?"

You nod along enthusiastically. "Yeah, there's often too much homework! But the classes are pretty interesting-" Well, when you're not just daydreaming during the lessons at least. "-especially the languages!"

"Oh, I've heard they really emphasize those there!"
Matsuko says. "I kind of envy you about that, by the way. We don't really have that many options in Shirome when it comes to languages."

"Eh, but we'll manage,"
Yuujin tells with a shrug. "It's not like you can't just pick up one during your free time if you so want."

"Bleh, but that wouldn't be the same!"
Matsuko says, sticking her tongue out at Yuujin.

"Hmm, maybe so..." Yuujin turns to give you a look. "But anyways, what do you do besides going to school and hanging out with that group of yours?" Her eyes shift to Ami. "You still draw, right?"

"Naturally! I can't let my skills get rusty, after all,"
Ami says, her gaze being drawn to the boiling kettle on the stove. "Oh, it seems that tea is just about done. A moment, if you will?"

Ami rises up from her seat and quickly moves to check on the situation with your drinks, and get everything else ready. You can see her pick up some sort of cookie box from one of the drawers at the very least-

"But hey, Tami? You didn't answer yet," Matsuko snaps you out of your thoughts. "What do you do with your own time yourself?"

"Huh? Oh, right…"
you rub the back of your neck, feeling sheepish at your drifting attention. "Uhm, I guess I read a lot? I've recently gotten into this fantasy series called Harry Potter, by the way! Have you heard of it?"

"Who hasn't?"
Yuujin asks you with a raised eyebrow. "Enjoyed it so far?"

"Definitely!"
you announce brightly. "It's so much fun, even if I'm not a very fast reader. The plot and the setting are so interesting, and the characters are so much fun!" Except those evil gits and that house elf. "I'm only at the second one at the moment… But don't worry, I'm going to be done soon!"

"Aww, you've grown to become such a dork~!"
Matsuko says, almost singing out her words.

You huff at the words, feeling a faint tinge of heat crawl up your cheeks. "Am not! I just have a good taste in literature!" Borrowed from Kishi, of course! "But hey, what do you do then?"

Yuujin and Matsuko exchange gazes before turning to address you. You can't quite shake the feeling that something's passing on between them there.

"Well, we just mostly hang out together," Matsuko notes. "It depends on the day, really! Sometimes we go to some nice cafe or restaurant to chat, and sometimes we just hit the cinema to wind down. Two days ago we had a picnic, in fact."

Picnic in the middle of winter?

"Can't forget the few spa visits either," Yuujin notes with a smirk. "Really, we tend to hang out over at each other's a lot over weekends."

...You're fairly sure there's something fishy going on here.

"Here's the tea, still hot and steaming, and the biscuits that I baked this morning!" Ami suddenly announces. "Dig in, everyone!"

What do you do?

[] Talk with your friends over the tea break.

[] Suggest you do something else!

[] Write-in.

Alright, a fair warning to you all. SInce I'm about to hit another rough spot in my uni-studies, chances are that updates will be very scarce and/or incidental until next week's wednesday. I will try to get in a minimum of two at the very least, but be prepared for longer waits.

And the fish goes by the name of '24/7 Meguca lifestyle'. Technical term.

Psssh. We're used to long waits, don't worry about it! This is easy!

Yeah, some of us follow Rex and Lost's quests.

But yeah, don't worry about it. We can wait a little for more.

Its fine.
Hmm looking at the words it sounds like one of them have a long range Jumper ability which means they travel to exotic locations overseas. Actually it would be interesting to see Tamimoe go to other countries for a spell.

That is cool. But you know what would be the best thing for Tamiko and co: Time travel.
Homura: "MAMIMAMIMAMIHAAAALP!"
Mami: "Homura, what happened?"
Homura: "I was trying out my time travel with Madoka and those two Northern Mikitahara girls aaaaaandwewentbacktoseedinosaursthenmetabunchofknightsan-"
Mami: "Homura, breath."
Homura: *deep breaths*
Mami: "So, you time traveled."
Homura; *nods sheepishly*
Mami: "What happened then?"
Homura: *opens mouth*
*loud crash outside*
Tamiko: "THIS IS THE BEST DAY EVER!"
Madoka: "Wheeeeeee!"
Fluffy Senior: *roars in agreement*
Geoffroi De Charny: "Onward, men of The Order of The Lonely Lady, Onward!"
Joan of Arc: "My, the future has so many beautiful structures."
Homura: *points piteously*
Mami: "... I feel like I should be bemoaning someone, but I don't know who."

I go wierd places when I don't sleep right.

Sabrina: "Try 'Oh, Tamiko'. Auntie Kishi always said it when something strange is happening."
Mami: "Thanks, but who are you?"
Sabrina: "I'm Sabrina, MadoHomu daughter from the future. I'm here to help."
Homura: :o
Mami: "And how you're planning to help with this mess?"
Sabrina: "Mecha Gurren Zilla Lagann!"
Mami: "Oh, Sabrina."

...Yeah, we need more sleep
