Chapter 2 - Solving a mess 3
[x] Remove all the binds and tape from Evelyn.
[x] You will take Evelyn to your apartment for now. Maybe you can call her parents somehow?
[x] You're kinda bloody and we left Ariane's driver back at the amusement park...
[x] De-transform to remove the blood. Retransform once you're ready to carry Evelyn.
[x] Ask Ariane to call her driver, find out where she is? Suggest asking her to drive all of you to your apartment. Either that or roof hop.

[x] Apologize to Ariane. This wasn't exactly what you had in mind for a day out…

You crouch down next to Evelyn and take off the tape covering her mouth. She doesn't react to it in any form. It seems that she really is out cold for now. You turn to look at the two girls standing behind you, shake your head sadly, and turn to remove the steel cable bindings on the unconscious girl.

"Is… Is she really going to be alright?" Ariane asks out loud in a low and uncertain tone.

"T-there's no reason to w-worry," Kishi hesitantly answers her, "w-witch-kissed people are a-always unconscious after the c-creature is gone... I-it might take some time for the p-people to wake up, but the k-kiss is neither permanent nor f-fatal by itself. W-well, it shouldn't be..."

While she makes a good attempt at comforting Ariane, even Kishi can't seem to help feeling unsure about this. At least if the shaky voice is anything to go by. Truth to be told, you are not entirely sure yourself what will happen now. It doesn't feel exactly right to call an ambulance and have Evelyn wake up alone in a hospital on the off chance that she remembers what happened here.

However, you don't even know where she lives now that you think about it. You could probably get her parents to take her home if you could get a call in? She has a phone from where you can pick the number if you can get it open. But having them find their daughter out cold in a place like this might not give a very good impression… Well, maybe you should just take one thing at a time.

"I-I think I'll take her to my home for now," you tell your friends, "M-my uncle won't be there for the evening, so she can wait until we can get her parents to pick her up or something? B-but now…"

Between your Magical Girl uniform and Kishi's normal clothes being bloodied, and having mostly forgotten about the aide that was supposed to be following you around, there are still things you must do. First things first, you de-transform yourself in a flash of white light, making the bloody uniform disappear and getting back into the civilian garbs

You turn back to look at your friends with a slight smile, and at Ariane in particular, "C-could you call that woman who drove us around today? M-maybe she could drive us all over to ours? W-we wouldn't have to take the rooftop route then...."

Your smile falters then and you lower your gaze, "S-sorry… about all this, Ariane. T-this wasn't exactly what I had in mind for a day out. B-between the training, the witch and Evelyn… S-sorry about having dragged you around for all this."

She nods slowly at you, "Oh… Don't be so sad about it! It all ended well… and if Kishi is right there's no reason to worry about Evelyn either! So let's just wait for what the next day has to offer."

Next to her, Kisi nods slowly and brings out her phone. She stares at the screen with a sudden frown appearing on her face, "Y-yeah… B-but I think it is t-time to call the day." She shows you the screen, pointing in the upper corner. It is slightly over 8 pm already? You must have spent quite the while in the barrier the first time around you were searching for the witch.

"I-I do agree with t-taking Evelyn elsewhere without fuss, though," Kishi continues, "B-but it might not be the b-best decision to let the driver see her body. I-I think I could carry her to your h-home, Tamiko? Y-you can take the drive with A-Ariane to help explaining why we took so l-long…."

What do you do?

[] Go with Plan Kishi.
-[] Well, there re some changes you'd do?
--[] Ask to go with Kishi. If it is late, it might be better to get Ariane home without detours.
--[] Ask to switch positions, she could get to know Ariane better if they were there with only the two of them.

[] Suggest something completely different for the plan.

[] If going with the car, think of a story to tell.

[] Talk with Kishi and Ariane.

[] Make plans for the evening.

[] Write-in.

The next update will take you out of this place at least, but depending on your decisions covering the trip might take anything from 0 to multiple updates.

[x] Go with Plan Kishi.
[x] If going with the car, think of a story to tell.
-[x] The truth.
[x] Make plans for the evening.
-[x] Eat dinner at home, take care of Evelyn, evening routine, then go to sleep.

[X] Go with Plan Kishi.

I dunno. Plan seems foolproof to me. It's not like the aide's gonna ask questions when the Boss' daughter doesn't want to.

If Evelyn wakes up she should be being princess carried by us, not Kishi

You nod slowly at the suggestion. It sounds reasonable to you for the most part. However, there is still one thing you would change, "T-that sounds like a good plan… B-but maybe we should exchange positions? I think it is more practical if it's me who takes E-Evelyn to my home. I-if we are going to call it night now, there is no need for you to take the detour, Kishi."

Well, there is also the fact that you may or may not secretly want your friends to get to know each other better. Those two seem to get along pretty well all things considered, but it is always nice to have a group of friends where everyone really is each other's friend too rather than tagging along. So when given a chance like this, it is only proper to give people some mutual bonding time!

Kishi frowns at the suggestion, but doesn't put up a protest about your proposal. This probably qualifies as a success, and you smile at her warmly, "W-well, I'll be seeing you two tomorrow! Take care, both of you… And still, I'm sorry the evening had to end like this."

You close your eyes and transform back in a flash of bright white light. The familiar and comfortable Magical Girl uniform appears on you, created from the light. You open your eyes and share an apologetic look with your friends before moving to pick up Evelyn. For a well-grown girl, her body feels eerily light on your arms you realize all of sudden.

Perhaps it only makes some twisted amount of sense for someone as competitive-natured as her to have resentment against the capabilities of Magical Girls such as you… Maybe you-

...You shake your head to dispel that particular train of thoughts. Only bad things lie on that thorny path. Instead, you share a one final nod with your friends and bid your goodbyes before jumping up the building next to you and roof hopping your way back home. All through your way, you keep a tight hold on Evelyn's limp body, not wanting to accidentally break her neck with your fast movements.

Fortunately, you make it back home without any incidents on the way, and sneak your way inside your home through the balcony's door. The insides of your home are dark and silent, a strange sight for an evening after your uncle moved back in. Still, unlike before, you now have company- well, a sort of visitor at least.

You march to your own room first and lay Evelyn on your bed and cover her with your blanket after throwing her shoes to the corner where your broken alarm clock is still lying in pieces. You ever really got around to getting that thing replaced or fixed… On the bed, Evelyn keeps breathing slowly and quietly, but doesn't react to anything that is happening around her.

You can't help but to wonder how long the aftereffects of a witch's kiss are supposed to even last...

Regardless, you let your friend lay there in peace as you de-transform and make your way to the kitchen to prepare yourself the dinner. The recipe sent by your uncle is indeed quite simple and after throwing the necessary foodstuff out of your almost over-filled fridge to the pot, you are soon done with some vegetable soup.

You don't bother eating much as you are not feeling very hungry after the events of this day, and instead leave the rest for your uncle as you start going through the evening rituals.

It is about 9 pm when you go back to check on Evelyn in your room. She has yet to show any signs of waking up...

What do you do?

[] Okay, search for her phone.
-[] Try to call her parents?
-[] Send her parents a message?
--[] "Staying over at a friend's"
--[] "You need to pick up your daughter at this address."

[] ...Well, looks like you'll be sharing a bed tonight?
-[] Doctor Higekino orders a treatment of hugs, applicable for the entire night!

[] Go pick yourself a spare futon from Kimiko's, uncle's room.

[] Wait for your uncle to arrive and talk with him.

[] Telepathy Kishi/Ariane

[] Write-in.

Cut the vote short, because there actually are some things here that will seriously affect the content and the plot in several next updates and beyond.

I'm thinking, telepathy Kuubey, ask for advice/help waking her up. I think QB is usually the one that deals with Witch kiss victims, so it can probably do something or at least give us an estimate as to how long it'll take for her to wake up. At the very least, it'll be able to assess her state and tell us if there's any problem beyond her being asleep.

After some thought, I think we should turn in early. Uncle will come home and assume we invited Evelyn to stay over. I don't think he'll raise an issue about it. I also agree trying to contact Evelyn's parents will cause more problems then it solves. We can deal with Evelyn's parental guardians when she's up.

edit: Vote updated to address the parents.

[x] Go pick yourself a spare futon from Kimiko's, uncle's room.
[x] Telepathy Mister Kyubey. Try and find out if there's anything you can do about Evelyn's condition.
[x] If there's nothing that can be safely done. Find Evelyn's phone.
-[x] Text her parents. 'Staying over a friend's'
--[x] Note the language the phone is set to. You may need to retranslate.
[x] Turn in.

Is letting them think she's gone missing for an entire night really any better? They'll probably be worried sick or might call the police.

It might be best to send her to the hospital then. If we try to claim that she just collapsed, then the question of why she didn't get to the hospital might come up. If we claim anything else, it's a really shaky story.

It's a bit late to take her to the hospital. Our uncle's coming home soon. Explaining that one would be a different mess.

Rereading, Evelyn does have parents we can send a text too.

edit: Also the vote's been updated. Texting Evelyn's parents if we have no choice but to wait.

Ehh... I disagree with calling. They'll just start asking questions, like 'why didn't you tell us earlier', or 'why are you texting in Japanese'

If we're trying to pretend to be Evelyn via text, we should have stuck with Ariane a bit longer, what with her actually knowing French.

google translate? :V

edit: In all seriousness, if her phone is set to french we'll probably know immediately
