I think Tamiko will also jump to that conclusion one of this days. Evil uncle or not, perhaps one day.

Also, yeah... It's been clear Kishi has developed feelings for Tamiko. This whole thing with Arianne might push her towards being sincere with herself, even if its because of fear of getting NTR'd :V

Blame her soul gem. Something always reaches out from it towards her friends. :V

I maintain that's just a reinforcement of what's already there.

Honestly though, no one is surprised that it happened but by the speed of it.

We had dice shipping the two, along with. Tamiko ignoring the robot thing, a lot of hugs.Which is even more effective as Kishi was about as isolated as Tamiko. The bridal carry after the snake witch, Tamiko and her associating Kishi with

"But you know Kishi, your home here isn't pretty because of the furniture... It is because, no matter where it is, you are there."

Yeah. Add in that Tamiko has her own problems, which Kishi seems to have started picking up on, Tamiko's idea of snuggling with Kishi, the poor girl didn't stand a chance.

If looking for the beginning of that development, prologue is the way to start. I'm not in a position to dig up everything relevant, but from top of my head, Tamiko:
- Rushed in to help Kishi against the witch.
- Risked her life battling that thing.
- Offered the hand of friendship of her own accord. Especially since Kishi, frankly, doesn't have any and is generally put down by others on top of that.
- Didn't mind the whole robot thing in the slightest.
- Hugs (with magic reinforcement?)
- Led Kishi to her home, and treated her.
- Gave Kishi the grief seed.
- Made sure Kishi was comfortable.
- And generally acted like some sort of saint.
This is not even taking into account the next few days...

Yeah, wonder what kind of messages you were giving Kishi there :V?

What better place to go than the library? Kishi was looking forward to it, and with that both of your friends should be happy about the day. As you three finish your strange tour through the center of the city, you are quick to bring up the topic of what to do next.

"Okay, I-I think that is it, the other parts of the city are too far away for today." you calmly begin and Kishi nods, "S-so I propose... that we go spend the rest of the day somewhere! M-my vote is to the library, like Kishi suggested earlier."

"Um... Is there something amazing in the library?" Ariane asks you, not entirely sure about the idea. You don't even need to say a thing as Kishi already offers an answer.

"B-because the library by itself is n-not the amazing part, b-but rather what is held inside," she begins, only to be cut off by Ariane, "So it's a treasure hunt?

"W-well, kind of... S-searching for a g-good book can be an adventure in itself. I-I think it is a good p-place to end the day, t-though," Kishi pauses for a moment to, before adding, "P-plus, you're o-outvoted..."

===

The library is t as busy as the streets, but you can still see numerous people walk between the shelves and read through their choices in the spaces between them. However, to you and Kishi the sight is not as amazing at this point, both having seen it before.

But to Ariane, however...

The girl just stands there, gaping in amazement at the sheer size of the glass building and the humongous amount of bookshelves. She is completely speechless, as if attempting to comprehend the sight before her.

"Amazing..." Ariane whispers out loud, "there are just so many."

You take a look at Kishi who seems to be conflicted, as if internally debating what to do and say about that. You flash her a wide smile, hoping to encourage her to take initiative. She averts her gaze, blushing as she takes a step next to Ariane.

"Y-yes... I-I don't think it's even p-possible to read them all," she starts to explain, "T-that is why it's i-important to find the g-good ones. S-say, have you r-read any fantasy books b-before?"

"Not really... I haven't got to read much of anything back home," Ariane answers truthfully, "It's too dark to read any books without getting a headache... But I guess I can do that now? What is this fantasy like?"

"I-I can't really explain it," Kishi tries to offer, "I-I guess it is like... r-reading about your dreams? I-it can get tough, even difficult to continue when the s-story gets intense... B-but it is worth it, t-there's just this magic you can't find elsewhere."

Kishi takes a look around the library, "I-in fact, I think I can s-show some good ones? D-do you have a l-library card?" a confused shake of head, "...A-after we are done here, a-ask the info desk for that. I-it should take a day at most."

Kishi points at the stairs, "T-the fantasy books are upstairs, I-I think you might like P-Potter or D-Discworld..."

"Uh, Kishi," you interject, "I think I and Evelyn have all the copies for the first Potter book."

The redhead blinks at you before turning back to Ariane, "...D-Discworld it is then, l-let's go see those first."

Ariane doesn't need to be told twice. She breaks into a full sprint up the stairs, giddy at the prospect, with Kishi coming right behind her, trying to get her to stop as she doesn't even know where exactly to go.

You'd follow them if it wasn't for the sudden feel of your phone turning on in your pocket. Someone is calling.

You hastily bring out the device and turn off the speakers to not disturb other people's reading. It's from your uncle.

What do you do?

[] Cancel it, this can wait.
-[] Follow Kishi and Ariane.

[] Go somewhere private and answer.
-[] Telepathy Kishi/Ariane that you'll come there soon(ish).
-[] Talk with uncle besides answering any questions.
-[] It's not a date!!!

[] Talk with Kishi/Ariane.

[] Write-in.

Come to think of it, your uncle is probably a bit weird datecrasher, what with shipping the datees and all that jazz.

-[X] Send message telling him that you are busy right now, you are going to call him later, and that you are alright.

Better follow them, i am scared of Kishi saying something hurtful against Ariane.

Blowing off our uncle is a bad move considering the panic attack he had earlier.

Kishi and Ariane are getting along fine; besides, Kishi is one of the nicest people we know. Even if she was having a jealousy attack (which I don't think she is) she wouldn't be cruel about it.

You frown at the sudden call. Has something come up? You think you informed your uncle that you'd be staying in the town with Ariane earlier, so he should have no reason to worry about you.

You take a quick look around to find a private spot. Looks like the library is pretty packed, so you promptly start to jog outside to answer and send your friends a telepathic message, 'S-sorry, my uncle is calling... I'll come up there soon, so no need to wait for me!'

'O-okay, just don't take too l-long... A-Ariane, that's the wrong shelf!' Kishi sends you back in a hurry, but sharply turns her attention back to Ariane's adventure. Guess you'll have ample time for this then... You take the call and put the phone on your ear.

"Uh, h-hi? What is it, has something happened?" you hesitantly ask your uncle.

"Maa~, sorry about crashing your date," your eye twitches, "but thought I'd ask you if you remembered that you have an appointment in the hospital at 7? You know, to check how your ribs have been healing."

Oh, guess it isn't so bad then. But there are some things you need to make sure he understands, "I-it is not a date!!! J-just because we- err, never mind..." Okay, better not give him any ideas about that, "a-anyhow, yes, I remember that."

"...Right. Are you coming there straight from the town, or do you need a ride?" Phew, sounds like he isn't going to pres the date line, "Also, are you coming home for dinner?"

"I-I think I'll come to the hospital from here. C-can we have the dinner after that?" you ask him in return. If Ariane needs to leave earlier, you can just hang out with Kishi.

"RIght then, I'll see you in the lobby. Enjoy your double date!" Wait what, "IT'S NOT A DATE! A-and how did you-"

"Guess confirmed! See ya!" the call gets abruptly cut off and you feel like sinking beneath the earth. One of these days...

...Well, you'll deal with that later. Right now you have two of your friends waiting for you in the library. You quickly make your way through the hallways and rows of bookshelves. The location of the fantasy section is already familiar to you, so you find your way there pretty quickly.

As you almost make it there, you can hear Kishi's voice behind the corner of the shelf. Mildly curious and not wanting to bother them, you stop to listen, "-a-and that's why P-Pratchett is among the greatest of authors to ever l-live."

Sounds like Kishi is giving the other girl a rather long lesson about some writer. Fortunately, it seems that she is finished for now. But before you get to even announce your presence, Ariane stops you on your tracks.

"That sounds awesome! But Kishi..." a small pause of silence, "I was wondering in that building... Why do you cover your face? You seem like a good person... so why would you want to hide yourself?"

Should you interrupt that? It sounds like a bit private, but still....

What do you do?

[] Go ahead and interrupt them.
-[] Pretend you didn't hear anything.
-[] Ask Kishi to answer the question.

[] Listen in to your friends in secret.

[] Go elsewhere, let them talk about that in peace.

[] Write-in.

I actually briefly considered giving you control of Kishi for this scene, but decided against it. I don't think it would have worked that well, to be honest.

A reminder, Kishi asked us to not take too long. So let's not commit to a book just yet.
