Okay? You have a sneaking suspicion that the witch might like an applause, at least if the familiars are anything to go by. Perhaps even enough to reveal some sort of weakness or some of its abilities.
You clap slowly, hesitantly at the show. Kishi seems a bit wary about the action while Ariane looks at you with a confused expression, not understanding what you are doing. You suppose applauding do a captive, hurt girl being forced to dance might come off as a bit weird to others.
'I-I think we might get a reaction with this. O-or at least avoid enraging it yet...' you tell your friends, 'N-now, do you think we could blast the box without harming the girl?'
'I... don't know...' Ariane tells you first, still sounding terrified. Kishi is more optimistic about the chances, though, 'M-maybe? I-I think I could use m-my rifle at least...'
Hmm, looking at the size of the thing, you think you could safely use your sword blast at it, although not at the maximum controllable power. Boosting for the girl afterwards shouldn't be very problematic either, unless the witch reveals some sort of strange power out of blue.
[Witch attack: 90 vs 30]
Your thoughts get cut short as your body screams at you to dodge. Unfortunately, you find that your legs won't move as something has grabbed them from below... From underneath the girl, out of the box's top spring forth two tendrils of barbed wire. You manage to dodge the first one aimed at your left arm by twisting your body around, but the second almost tears off your right arm, with only your chainmail and half of the bone preventing it from being severed completely.
Regardless, the arm is now unresponsive.
You let out a small scream of pain, and the girl on top of the box starts dancing again while the music box tune picks up again with an increased tempo.

Nigh immediately you can a hear a shout of 'Tamiko' in your head and the blue box gets hit by a barrage of rifle fire from Kishi. Several burned holes appear in the structure, but it doesn't appear to be hindered too much by the attack.
Instead, the spiral on the side of Kishi becomes very three-dimensional as it springs forth with a boar's head at the tip. Kishi doesn't even get to react as the spring rams her into the wall of the arena with blinding speed. You can't see her body beneath the rubble.
A thunderous applause cuts through the barrier, and the vertical edges of the box start transforming too, turning into cranks from a music box that now carry the box as its spider-like legs. The barbed wires and the boar head get reeled back.
Near the witch, Ariane still stands and tries to summon some orbs of light, only to have them fade away almost immediately. She appears to be paralyzed on her place in fear...
The hands let go of your feet, disappearing, and you fall on your rear while clutching your destroyed arm. The walking box starts scuttling towards you with the girl on top dancing intensively to the echoing tone from inside the box.
Tamiko shield charge: 100/100
What do you do?
