Chapter 2 - It's a beautiful day 1
[X] Stay there as long as Ariane wants.
[X] Take her out to Town.
-[x] Ask permission from Mr. Verrier?

You don't know how long you stay up on the roof, watching the Sun rise and bathe everything in its light. It could even be hours, or just minutes, but by the end of it, you finally decide to ask her to join you for a trip to the town, "Ariane... W-would you like to come with me to see the city today? N-no need to rush... but when you are ready?"

You have several reasons for that, chief among them the want to do something interesting today with your friends, preferably all of them. But you can't really deny the fact that she has never seen the town before and might want to see it now that she can. Then there's also the fact that you are starting to feel quite hungry after forgetting to eat before you left for your walk this morning.

Ariane's response is rather mumbled, and you suddenly realize that she was probably half-asleep by now, "Whaaa... Oh, it does sound nice... But does the Sun shine there too?"

"O-of course! The sky is clear today, so there's no fear of it disappearing behind the clouds," you patiently explain to her, wondering where she even got that idea. Fortunately, she seems to accept that quite readily, "Hmm, I guess it's okay then... Are we going now?"

"I-if you'd like? W-well, we probably need to ask Mr. Verrier's permission first..." She frowns at that part, "I don't think father will let me go out there."

"W-well, it wouldn't do to have him worry about you... a-and, I mean, I'm sure he'll see that it won't hurt you!"

After convincing Ariane that it is, in fact, necessary to ask her father, you make your way back inside with her lighting the way. Mr. Verrier is sitting on a working chair inside a spacious working room, reading something on a tablet computer. Upon seeing his daughter and you at the door, he turns to look at you with a questioning but stern expression

Ariane seems nervous about asking this, but gathers her courage nonetheless and starts speaking in French again, "Father, we were thinking... could we go see the town today?"

You notice how she put son a pleading expression in an attempt to get her will through. It is enough to cause Mr. Verrier to lay down the tablet and stroke his beard in contemplation, "Hmm, my first thought is to say... absolutely no."

Both of your expressions drop nigh immediately upon those words, but Mr. Verries pays it no heed as he continues, "But I suspect keeping you here forever won't work out. Judging from the length you spent directly under the Sun... My instincts tell me there truly isn't any danger from the light. So yes, you have my permission."
Yes, success! Unfortunately, it seems that the man is not done yet, "However, you'll have to agree to be home before dinner, not to talk to strangers. In addition you'll be driven there by two of the aides and won't stray too far away from them..."

yeah, definitely not done yet, "Also, should there be any signs of symptoms, you'll immediately get back to the car. Send me a message every half an hour just in case... Oh, and you should put on something less frilly, no need to gather unnecessary attention."

That seems to be the end of the list, and Ariane is nodding furiously at each part, clearly getting enthusiastic about the prospect of going outside. It's not like you can blame her, though... "Good. Now, also remember to have fun, it's a beautiful day outside."

All in all, that went a lot more strangely than you thought it would... Still, you have now have a partner for hitting the town! Ariane seems to be utterly delighted too and glomps her father briefly while muttering constant 'thank yous'. He simply harrumphs and tells you two to get ready.

You leave the room feeling a lot better about the coming day. Still, it will apparently take some time for the aides to get ready, so you are left with some time to plan for the upcoming day and simply talk.

Ok so time for an off-the-wall suggestion that I'm too lazy to turn into a proper vote but uh

So grumpiness aside Mr. Verrier is clearly worried about how Ariane will handle being out in the world for what sounds like basically the first time ever, and justifiably so. But on the other hand... this probably is the first time she'll have been able to go out and see things and actually live like a normal kid and that's... kind of a big deal? And it sounds like he's going to be sitting at home working.

Now, technology in PMMM seems to be at least as advanced as the real world, so I'm assuming at least one person out of Tamiko and her friends has a smartphone with a video camera. We should totally record the outing, or at least parts of it, and give Mr. Verrier the video afterwards.

Because first, it'd be one more thing to help reassure him, but more importantly... the guy deserves a chance to see his daughter being happy, y'know?

So, Arianne is allergic to UV radiation. Makes me think of a condition mentioned in an old game, Ace Combat 3, if I remember correctly. One of the characters had a condition known as "Silverstone's Disease/Syndrome", which also made her horribly allergic to sunlight. Poor girl had to wear a special suit all the time. Now, I'm not sure if Arianne's condition is a reference to that, but it is something I noted.

Or get the aides to snap photos for us, anything really. Just some sort of visual, uh, memento (ha, ha) of what's probably a big day for Ariane.

Selfies are a v cute option though so I am 100% ok with that.

Oh wait you already edited that into your vote even. Ok, mission accomplished.

No. First option. Aides take the photos. Argued logically: because that way can get photos of Ariane actually doing stuff instead of just her face, and argued illogically: because I have an irrational hatred of selfies.

I think of Ace Combat 3, and what comes to mind is the Night Raven, which happens to be piloted by the aforementioned character.

Well, my initial thought was more along the lines of really dorky video clips as Tamiko fumbles with the camera while Ariane runs around doing stuff. Letting the aides do it is kinda boring.

I have to admit that ridiculous selfies are probably most appropriate for a group of teenage girls though.

[jk] Call Uncle.
--[jk] "Hey uncle Sorry to bother you again so soon but it seems like I will be taking Ariane out for a Night Day on the town as we introduce her to the Meguca Friendship Circle Harem, See you tomorrow.

Why don't we take Polaroids instead? To commemorate Ariane's First Date Enjoyable Day on the town! (Or do people not use Polaroids anymore?) We can have them Framed and everything! :V

Most usually take pictures using their phones, but actual cameras are also nice.
