Profit Never Changes - A Fallout 4 Business Quest

[X] It was a bunch of small, spider-like robots, with blue paint and a red star. These are Liberators. Was this place controlled by the Chinese?

Frankly they should be a cheap bot, which would be great honestly.

[X] It was… exactly what you'd seen in your dreams. (Mystery Box, gained by having 1 or more Psyker Perk Ranks. It could be anything. Would be continued in a Hang Xin Interlude)

[X] It was a small glass furnace, and a weird looking device next to it. Was this something they used to make their neon signs when their original glass furnace broke? (You gain a small Glass Furnace and Fractional Distiller. You can make Neon Signs)

Sure. Why not?

The Mystery Box, losing?! Inconceivable!

But to be fair, Andrew was going after a much more promising treasure in Jamaica Plains. So he'd probably end up with a much greater haul then whatever was in Neon Pete's.
He also has to deal with the hordes of feral Ghouls living there. I fully expect he will have to escape with empty hands to avoid getting eaten.

That being said, as you'd enter the room once blocked by tons of dirt, you can quickly see that this was once a storage room. Granted, a lot of it was general old-world stuff anyone could find. But to find this much of it in a single place was still quite the haul!
That sounds like we get tons of crafting materials. Adhesive and Circuitry are always useful!

[] It was a small glass furnace, and a weird looking device next to it. Was this something they used to make their neon signs when their original glass furnace broke? (You gain a small Glass Furnace and Fractional Distiller. You can make Neon Signs)
Useful for advertisement. The Glass Furnace could help with producing lenses for lasers or the smelting of certain metals. The Fractional Distiller could be useful for producing chemicals.
This option is a mix of boosts to advertisements and research opportunities.

[] It was a bunch of small, spider-like robots, with blue paint and a red star. These are Liberators. Was this place controlled by the Chinese? (You gain 2d4 Liberators of random Rank. You can reverse engineer them to learn how to make them.)
They are cheap but not very powerful. The most important part is that we could research the technology behind them. They have limited networking capabilities, which could be hilariously useful with how many robots we are going to use.

[] It was a set of Holotapes: The Art of Fear. Considering they were next to a lot of bloody knives and clothes, you're not sure you want to know what went on here. (The first person to listen to it gains the Speech 75 perk, based on Terrifying Presence. There will be a sub-vote to see who would listen to it.)
I'm not sure what that perk is but I don't think we have anyone it would fit.

Probably something associated with Psykers. We know there are ancient psychic relics around, as seen with Kremvh's Tooth and Lorenzo Cabots' fabulous hat.

[] It was… exactly what your employees would enjoy. (Mystery Box, gained upon having 5 or more Employees. Would be continued in an End of Week Xin Industries Interlude.)
Probably something that boosts everyone's morale. Maybe a jukebox?

I really want that networking capability.

Isn't Cheap a good quality on it's own? I mean we were unable to produce 14 bots last turn, and had to produce robot repair kits, something that really should be a last resort. The Fact they could also be modified makes them have an attractive quality on it's own, and the Fact it can also be used for research.

They also have a speaker which was used for messages, so we know they could be used as advertisement bots.

So Ultimately in my eyes, The Liberators are pretty much the best known quantity.

They are less mobile than Eyebots so their use for advertisement would be limited to the area around locations we control. Maybe if we re-design them into a ball shape? We can't really use them for anything else, given their low combat-power and lack of arms/hands.

Maybe we could sell them as small helpers? Developing models with Decontamination Sprays or Cryo Sprayers?
Regeneration Fields, Electric Pads, and Enhanced Sensors all require more mobility to be optimally used, either to quickly reach people or to cover large areas.

Honestly, the ability to develop networking robots alone would be worth it. With that, we could develop ways for a stationary AI to boost nearby robots. Or to develop better teamwork between our robots and let them accomplish more complicated tasks.

While I'd usually be the first to say go for the mystery box, I admit I REALLY want us to have spider bots.

They're also bots so irregardless of their int they could be put to research, and with a certain paint job it would be well worth it.

So, about 30% done with New Bedrooms, which was taking it's sweet time wanting to be written. I've got it in my mind now. What does a wedding dress, a RoboBrain maid, a long exposition about the rooms, and the Armageddon Rag have in common? Well, you'll find out... probably Monday.

Also, vote will probably end sometime tomorrow. Then I will reveal what you've won (Not a new Corvega.)

The mystery vote reminded me about Mama Murphy. I think she a psyker and can be interesting to meet if we ever get to meet her in person. Makes me wonder what she will predict of Xin future.

Sudden Death. Next vote for either wins

Guess I'll make it 8-5?
