Heh, it's starting to seem that Blitzhart is biologically incapable of having male children (or has there been one, I can't remember).

And I think the chapter got a bit excessively wordy, but dunno.

Well, that certainly was the best interlude we've had thus far. At least for the heroic ones.

Going to have to agree that it kinda felt a bit wordy. Also that I'm actually pretty concerned that Louise is far and away from actually standing a chance against the heroic party of her former classmates.

Yes, Blitzhart seems constitutionally incapable of fathering Good sons.

Evil bastards, on the other hand...

Was his bastard that showed up, male?
Last I checked they all ended up female as well, honestly i'm pretty sure he'd get a daughter even if he had a child with an incubus....somehow.

While they are all pretty powerful I think she can hard counter all but Tabitha and her Dragon. The rest of the part is doable.

Perhaps Blitzheart is also female, and is simply so manly that the world gave up and made him look like a man by default?

It would certainly explain the seeming inability to pass on a Y-chromosome.

I'm also sad that the mage at no point insisted on his right to bear arms.

It's a shame Irukukwu has to hide her sapience from the rest of the party, because with her access to Hell's financial products and Montmorency's business acumen they could probably make vast amounts of money. And then make even more money by (figuratively) burning Hell's economy to the ground, because why merely loot Evil's lairs when you can loot their far more lucrative stock portfolios and bank accounts?

Depends on if it's just Louise + Minions or if she gets to use her Lieutenants and who else she adds to those ranks prior to the fight with the group.. The airship would probably help immensely as well as a proper counter to the dragon if Louise decides to get armaments and munitions and other such customization for the vessel. Kirche is obviously an issue for Catt and Harriette's zombies but I feel like Louise would end up dueling her personally so that's out of the way. Guiche is probably not a problem but he does seem like he could be surprisingly troublesome. Not sure about Monmon as I can't remember what her thing was.

I love how Kirches little 'brother' is developing a crush on guiche.

I can see Blitzharts 'sons' after they go out into the world bringing home 'girlfriends' with very male voices. Some of his other 'sons' reveal to their father that they are gay, and can only love other men.

So how will Blitzhart react when one of his 'sons' becomes visibly pregnant? Rationalize it away as a gender-change curse?

I'd imagine they'd go off 'adventuring' for a year, and then come back with a kid and a wet nurse, and just keep the whole charade going.

Kinda like that pope's quote from a few chapters back, except you know, more brazen about the whole thing.

I think the inconvenience (and safety hazard) of heroes coming to defeat her is part of why Louise plans to pretend she was a prisoner of the Overlady the whole time.

Let's be realistic, there's no way Louise is going to stick with that plan. Fate will bring Louise and the heroes together, there'll be fighting with dead minions and roughed up heroes and overlady, and Kirche will knock off Louise's helmet. Then the heroes will manage to escape and the remaining members of the council will hear word of it and probably use it to justify doing some shit to Louise's family members who aren't already kidnapped into service.

... So Karin and her Father. K... good luck with that.

There are more ways to hurt someone than to merely fight them. Not to mention that the couple is going to be processing the news of Louise being the Overlady.
Oh don't get me wrong, they won't be pleased in the slightest. See the running joke about what'll happen when Karin, Hell itself is scared shitless of me, the Heavy Wind finds out. But pressing them into service? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA... HA *ahem* think I'm done AHAHAHAHAHAHA There... *breaths*

Even then, what can you do that hasn't been tried against the family before?
