This conversation is silly. We just went through an arc about how you should throw away evil headwear. I think there was also a moral about the pursuit of power at the expense of your principles is bad, but mostly it was about evil headwear. Louise might be momentarily blinded by the prospect of bling, but I'm sure she'll soon remember the lessons learned and would avoid the abyssal crown that isn't even as good as the helmet for her on account of lacking the set bonus.
She's grabbing it because if the defense go down, someone else has a chance to take it and invade the surface with an army of demons, which while nominally a very bad thing to happen in the eyes of evil, is very much something Louise herself doesn't want. Better to take it, give it to a demon royal she is aligned with who has no interest in conquering the surface.

Look, whatever BS justification Louise has to make to talk herself into getting her girlfriend something nice, I'm here for it. Flowers, candy, infernal crown conveying untold and immeasurable power upon its bearer, whatever!

I am pretty sure that by Tristanian standards, to which Louise is still mostly beholden, Izzy is Louise's mistress.
(And Louise is Izzy's, given Izzy is married to her career.)

And I think both of them are okay with that.

Anyway the point I am making is that while it is all well and good to give your mistress gifts, you don't gift your mistress titles or regalia greater than your own or those of your prospective marriage partner.

If it were a (suspiciously shaped) royal scepter, sure, there'd be no issue. But it's an evil crown, so no, it should be left alone.

Sorry, I don't make the rules.

No new chapter yesterday, so I assume @EarthScorpion is either very busy with life or busy writing the next chapters. Best of luck to him! But the lack of update reminds me of the end of an arc, which reminds me: We haven't had any new achievements show up in a while. I mean, just recently, we've defeated another Void wielder with the power of orbital bombardment, retaken our base despite foul treachery, recruited a general for our forces, put our foot down regarding Henrietta's necromancy, and (most impressive of all!) went on a real date, including scoring and losing virginity! Surely some of these deserve accomplishments?
Also, let's not forget we had to suffer through an entire battle with the heroes as the focus, urgh.

we've defeated another Void wielder with the power of orbital bombardment
The Smitening
retaken our base despite foul treachery
I think it would be more along the lines of
"Don't lose any important assets to your vizier's betrayal"
Keep your friends close and the gnarl closer
recruited a general for our forces
The gathering darkness
put our foot down regarding Henrietta's necromancy
No means no
went on a real date, including scoring and losing virginity
Consorting with a demon Germainian

Oh, right. Yeah, that was the end of the arc, and I have the interlude in my to-do document (that and more Murder the Hero - Chapter 1 - EarthScorpion - Slay The Princess (Visual Novel) [Archive of Our Own]).

As for the achievement thing, well, the site I used to use for achievement generation broke and the joke sort of wore thin.

Pretty short arc then, though in retrospect it makes sense this just ends with the date being over and all relationship talk being worked though.

Bit saddening to see the achievement stuff gone. I liked the gamey meta stuff.
