Ah, but this was one of the earlier ones, wasn't it? Was it?

"Fiend! You'll pay for what you did to the dragons! And the dwarves! And the halflings! And the northern elves! And all those innocent baby seals. And…"

Her master chuckles. "Please, if you start listing everyone I've wiped out, you loud-mouthed halfling, you'll be here until you die."

A blur of motion. She is flung out imperiously, and she moans in joy as the dark energy courses through her.

"Well, I say 'halfling', but she's really more of a quarterling now," her master says drily. "Oh, I'm sorry? Was I meant to hold off the killing spells while I waited for you to finish posturing? Incidentally, the elf with the bow might want to get ready to cast his charming little Counter spell, because I could do it any moment like… now!"

She is thrown out imperiously again, but the energy which passes through her is weak, pathetic, shaky. A feint. She hears a thunderous detonation, and something warm and wet hits her.

"Goodness gracious me. It's almost like the Firstborn filth among you can't trust the spirits in my territory. You think to draw upon them? To have them protect you? From me, when I let them suckle on the power I give freely to them and ask nothing in return? Ha ha. And… oh, my."

She feels the pulsing shudder of her master's laughter, and hears the scream and the tearing of flesh.

"Oh dearie, dearie me. And there goes the dwarf. Looks like someone drank from the Fountain of Immortality outside. It does exactly what it says, you know; his flesh is now immortal – and reproducing out of control. You fools – I never thought anyone would actually fall for that. Who do you think will die next? The other elf, who doesn't have a drop of magic to use which doesn't rely on calling on my spirits? I offered you a peace treaty, Sasha; you could have said yes, and bought a hundred years or so while I finished wiping out the dwarves. Maybe the dragon, who's already dying from the toxins ravaging his system? Or your little pet Markay wizard? I wonder how all his brains would look on the outside?"

She is raised into the air, and she lets out her cry.

"Why, I think I'll just swarm you with minions."

Huh. So I'm guessing the rough timeline goes something like this?

- The Dawn War
- Sasha's party confronts the First Overlord
- Brimir commits genocide on the dwarves using the Overlord's powers
- Sasha stabs Brimir when he tries to kill the elves

so the explanation ofr it, if it were a thing instead of a joke, would be that thanks to timey wimey time shattering the 3 timelines were 'Call me Ann's grandfather were different persons 'happened and didn't happen' and thus Henrietta's mom/dad/parental unit was born from a Timey wimey Foursome?
that or they were the 'human' one, the possesion entity one and the incubi who got pregnant or inpregnated the other male.
So to clarify your ideas and one new:
  • Not in this fic, but was there idea of of sucubus and incubus being one single that changes gender? So 2 human grandfathers, 1 human grandma, 1 creature identifying as both grandma and grandpa (actual demon or grandma with incubus blood as Issabela here) or I confused mix, switch one human grandpa for human grandma? I need brain bleach either way... Still... there is already demonic blood in Henrieta's bloodline...
  • Then there is grandpa being possessed by spirit identifying self as male during sex. Might be some power crazy, bodiless spirit looking to reincarnate as queen/king, but magical protections were good to stop it.
  • Thanks to shattered time some peoples remember one timeline where one person was grandfather, other remember yet another where different person was grandfather.
  • Henrieta's grandmother cheating her husband. Everyone knows her husband as father and there is actual (open) secret father by blood. Might be confused for above idea or above idea for this one.

... guys. You're reading way too much into this, ffs. It's a joke that justifies the occasional inconsistencies in the narrative without the need for retcons. Exactly like in Discworld with the History Monks. Stop overanalysing.

Too much true. so what new topic could we take? So far other ideas don't seem to last more then post or two and going in more detail?

you mean the TIme Shattering Adventure of Loiuse trying to find Eleanore before she fucks them over...again?
i'd like to wait until next snippet because i already said what i wanted of it and don't care about wondering about What possesed Alternate Future Louise to procreate with Guiche and if all her progeny is from the same father or not, Nor about what really happened between her and Younger Alternate Karin.
buti am interested in where the rest of the Overlord Armor went to.

Gnarl stole those pieces and is trying armour in front of mirror? Gnarl is Overlord reborn as minnion? (so "nice" to have magic or game engine ignoring some headaches so that hobbit, human, elf and giant can wear some plate mail without problem)
There are green minions secretly following Louise and Elenor ready to loot...

By the way... hasn't this jump into past gone... too far/deep/backward/something? Sure spell was powered by Athe's dark god soul, maybe less significant Gauntlet and Elanoire too, but still...

Aren't some events that we have seen "supposedly" 6000 years in past? Is it because there are not rules or just me got that impression that jump was supposed be just decade or two, at most half century?

It wasn't powered by the soul of one dark god though but two dark gods plus whatever power and knowledge evil overlord Elanoire brought to the table.

I wouldn't count Baelogi as dark god even if powerful by being dark/fallen angel, and so able to boost spell a bit. Wasn't she devouring Athe so that she will become dark god, at least until was interrupted by Louise? There was in total power of just one dark god and a bit, not two full gods?

And wasn't Gnarl mentioning that spell would kill Elanoire for lacking power? That's before Louise told him for Athne and Baelogi captured in crystal held by Elanoire, as he didn't seem to know it at time?

The spell targeted a point within a decade or so. The path to that point however, does not have to be perfectly chronological. This isn't some Good time magic that is so cleanly aimed and approved by the proper authorities, this is Evil magic that rams a car through the checkpoint of time and ramps off into the unknown with a single mind towards their goal, regardless of how the swirling waters of time may place events between the travelers.

Time Shattered, there are no 'Rules' when something Shatters, EarthScorpion already explained it, but in true Memetic behavior i'll post a video about it:

In that case if no limit on any kind of logic of how far to travel back and inability to actually target right time location:

Louise: I'm blind! Can't see! *is in empty black void*
*voice out of nowhere*: Let there be light!
Louise: It hurts! Like looking into Sun!
*voice out of nowhere*: Let there be sky and earth!

*Louise... is falling out of orbit... and hits by luck into portal... it is unknown how she survived, but there are no more dinosaurs...*

---alternative of experiencing Big bang, all those pretty lights and fireworks... would just kill her---

Accidentally ending up (reportedly) 6000 years in the past or a decade and change in the future whilst aiming for a decade and change in the past is a far different kettle of fish to ending up at the time periods you described, assuming such time periods are similarly distant in the setting of Overlady as they are irl.

"Let there be light" is reportedly only about 8000 years ago. That's not too much farther than 6000 years. Big Bang is off by six or seven digits though.

And if you'd paid attention to the chapter, you'd have noticed that Louise got shoved into the sea of time by Ozymandias. You know, something that's not meant to happen. And the rest of the chapter was her basically trying to climb up out of the distant past (and overshooting slightly at the end).

and pray to any ROB that when Time Snaps back Together it comes as something coherent and not too weird/crazy/disturbing, Time Zombies, Shrödinger existances or Time DIvergent 'Clones'/Instances or in a weird case if Loiuse Wins then history snaps back together following her own POV of the timeline...

"My goodness," said future-Louise. "That never happened to me. Did you stumble into Mother's changing room when she was fifteen?"

"... no?"

"Be very glad you didn't. I still have the scars." The older version of Louise absent-mindedly rubbed her left arm, exactly where Louise had been bitten – and Founder, didn't that open up possibilities she didn't want to think about?

So what I'm getting from this is that future-Louise got attacked by the bear rug.

ROB means (R)andom (O)mnipotent (B)eing? Those thing that throw characters from one fiction to another just to cause drama and watch fireworks? They actually wish "interesting" things to happen, China way?

well i could've said God or Gods, but we know that almost everyone who carries that title is a Random Omnipotent Bastard, so praying to them is more or less the same and we are more honest with ourselves, we don't delude ourselves that the being we are praying to is not a Bastard who will make htings as 'interesting' as possible.
