Okay, I'm going to make my call that that was not our old buddy and pal, but whatever killed him.

It's obvious that what Sierra is holding back is that she's lesbians for us. Medea needs to roll a perception check, because it's so obvious that everyone else is making bets on it.
...Can we do that? Can we cast a spell to determine if the people with us have malicious intent towards us? @TheLordofAwesome

Oh no, I really hope that Lazy Minx is right. Anyways, the visions we saw were caused by the monster, and who knows how much truth they had. Still, we can't just ignore it, so the spell might be a good idea.

The last spell we did had a bunch of extra things helping it, like writing the name with blood and chanting. If we want more than fifty percent chance, we probably should at least do a chant or something to try and swing our odds.

Yeah, what I'm thinking is that we let both of them know about the vision, but, not tell them where it said the danger was coming from.

Basically, the being who helped me get my power showed up and gave me a warning and now I want to cast a spell to detect ill intent and where it's coming from. I'm hoping that can be condensed into one ritual/spell.
 
It looks like the Archangel Micheal would be the best to channel, since he's the angel of protection, mercy, and justice. @TheLordofAwesome, is there anything that we can for sure do that will provide a bonus, like chant a certain phrase, or should we just keep experimenting to see what works the best?

I do wish to say that I am fond of it, no matter how frustrated I am with how vaguely implemented the magic system is especially in this quest in particular.

We're thrown in a situation where we have no idea what is going on, with danger around every corner. Add to that the fact that we're flailing around wildly with the magic that might indeed be our true way free, and it really puts us in the same spot as Medea.

We don't know anything more than she does in terms of the situation, the danger, or the magic and it really makes it real and anxiety inducing because it gives you both the sense that you could be in the same situation and that you would die too if she does.
