before I got my hands on Hiraga Saito in private, of course.
Why assume that she'll get Saito?

I mean, theoretically she's supposed to get the familiar that's most suited to her, or something like that.
So what happens when someone changes the character of the summoner by, say, greatly reducing her inferiority complex, giving her a better sense of self-worth and teaching her to treat everyone - including those far below her own station - with respect? That's right, there's a very high chance that another familiar will be better suited to them.

In this case, a Louise that actually likes her explosions would probably end up summoning someone who knows explosions. There's many ways to interpret that, but Saito? He knows nothing about explosions (that an average teenager doesn't know).

Now I have the image of Henry being summoned as a Familiar. I wonder how he would feel about that. The Familiar runes only really supress homesickness and the like so Henry being home isn't really a major problem.

Look, Henry, there's an easier way to do this.

First, go somewhere you don't actually like, like across the border into Von Zerbst territory.

Then you just have a little chat with your tiny overpowered Tsundere mage:

"Alright little Louise. I think I know how we can get your explosions as big as possible. Just aim over at that mountain and repeat after me:

Darkness beyond twilight,
Crimson beyond blood that flows,
Buried in the flow of time...
"

Or someone that can restrain her ekrixomania.

I kinda want Louise to rewrite some Void spells purely on accident trying to make up spells she can cast. Have her develop a whole spellbook of "Explosion" elemental spells to sorta do what she wants... with a little collateral.

And if it didn't, I'd teach her just how to properly treat a familiar, or a commoner. Basic human decency and rights and all that stuff would do great good to her...before I got my hands on Hiraga Saito in private, of course.

Oh, the things I'd tell him.

Oh, the things I'd do to him.
Tell him that Karin is BIG TIME tsundere! And she just LOVES hugs, and she'll be sad if she doesn't get one!

And then instead of Saito, normal Shade is summoned.

Whoopsies.

Henry, you have a new task you need to carry out. You need to search through all the the Church approved texts for anything that talks about an explosion. Fire and Wind spells would be the first place I'd look. One way or another Henry is going to make sure is little sister isn't The Zero. She might end up with titles like The Detonation or something along those lines, but not The Zero.

Plus it isn't as safe to tease that mage that is really good at making things go boom as it is to tease someone who is simply a failure.

Edit: Just had a scary/funny thought. What happens if Henry tricks Louise into reciting the chat for the Dragon Slave. It would be a very heretical more, but the resulting boom should be wonderful!
