You know, if modern!Helkagia ever has an analogue for the HGW, I can totally see people trying to get this super-competent, militarily skilled, super-innovative, Square Ranked Legendary King who set the standard for being an actual King and getting... well, Henry. Maybe with his crow if Rider?

perhaps it was simply meant to be that way, way until she grew too old for it to matter anyway.

In later years, he was revealed to be the fabled Shadow of the Night, author of thousands of children tales and erotica."
...And we miss Anne's reaction to this.

But honestly, pretty glad that I came in right at the end there - was a bit concerned about trying to keep up with your insane update speed.

Shade please, use this idea

Still, he had wanted the Promised Lands, and I on the other hand had sought out digging techniques, drilling methods, and ways to pacify the spirits. Needless to say, the elves choked on their own bile when they realized that no, there would be no cataclysm incoming to save their faces.

Wait, this happened? I remembered a reference to him digging a lot of holes in that one omake but...

Oh, it ends. At least I got to read like, 4? 5 chapters at once. It's satisfying, truly.

It's been a wild ride, this story. Thank you @shadenight123 for the amazing story and super fast updates. I think I will get withdrawals from not having new chapters to look out for...

Maybe I will reread The Boy in the Park fic, I kind of got bored halfway through but I still kept a copy of it in my laptop. I shouldn't read that story or even this story in large doses. The interest kind of waned after a while.

Good luck on your next story, Shade! :)

EDIT: Henry died a few days after Isabella. He must have loved her so much to be so devastated by the loss.

It was a very interesting journey @shadenight123. Thank you for that.

I hope you make more Omakes for this one detailing the aftermath of various incidents or maybe a make a side fic about Louise's adventures!:lol

Whatever happened to Joseph's Bizarre Odyssey?

Edit: a wondrous story, Shade!

On the one hand, it's nice that it did finish, making this one of the few fics I follow that have a definitive ending. On the other hand, the ending feels so unsatisfying, with a lot of loose ends just left dangling.

Still, good show.

Holy fuck, what a ride!
My one regret, is that I started this story literally a day before it ended...
Oh well, might as well see what other stories you've got Shade.

You are ignoring content by this member.
And so it ends. This has been a ride and a half (and honestly the only really good FoZ fic I've ever read.) I look forward to whatever you pick up next, Shade, because I'm sure it'll be brilliant.

Remember the Servants are affected by their myths.

And based on what actually happened he'd have skills like:
[Windland] Rank: S
[I know every single Route] Rank: Beyond bullshit.
[Le Petit Armed] Rank: Iskander's Reality Marble + Gunpowder + Flying Dreadnoughts + More mages.

Decimated means losing one in ten, which is not impossible to compensate for. Even with Gallia losing half its trained forces it still has the tech advantage in Halkgania and a standing army of half the initial. They can mobilize a defense just fine, but offensive action is not a good idea for a few months to a year while they train the new soldiers. Joint offensives or support from Romalia would mean the evacuation of the continent could go through if only due to religious support even if Brimir's 6000 year old screw up comes to light.
not to mention that they're almost holly heroes now. the ones who butchered the demons. no nation wants to be compared to elves.

"why would you attack the Blessed Prince! are you an elf sympathizer?"
