But how am I meant to cope without 4-5 updates a day? First you give us the free sample, and then we get hooked? Is that how it's meant to be?

No one mentioned Anne knew how to play the fiddle.

On another note. Do I finally have permission to get off the Shade train?

Only until the muse/train's done refueling. Then we're off on another of Shadenights' wild rides, and you know it.

This was a great story. Truly it shall live in.my.bookmarks forever. Or so least until I get a new phone.

Shade, just wait until the last two ZnT volumes are finished/finalized and translated. Then come back to this.

So what was Henry's plan for Henrietta? In the end, did he get the emperor drunk during the wedding for anything? I thought it was to stave off the wedding night but Henrietta appears pregnant anyway? Or is it due to Wales whose fate is left ambiguous?

While I didn't really like her or Wales... I still kinda hope for a happy ending for the two of them.

Reading the final few chapters, I could definitely sense the intent to rapidly end the story, which is, arguably, far better than simply dropping it once the muse was gone.

Reading those final passages though, I kind of got the niggling sense that it could very easily have been 'Future' Anne who had gotten summoned by Joseph.

And so it ends, I have to say that I got late for the ride, but enjoyed quite a bit what was left of the trip. The end feels a little rushed, but it's also true that once the elves lost and accepted the peace talks, there was nothing real to bring conflict and anything would feel artificial. Tho I find Joseph and Anne kinda started the war dickish. Also, Anne never found out about Henry's origin? I'm kinda disappointed in that :p

I was waiting for someone to get maimed or killed so there would be suffering. Then it ended and I realized that the ones to suffer were us as the readers, because that 'climax' was a sure shot to the nuts.

I'm still not sure whether I'm actually glad or outraged there wasn't a sudden bad end. Like I would've been equally upset/gratified with the sudden bad end I was expecting.

Regardless, wow awesome. Thanks!
