Between your learning and tech levels you got just the number you needed basically, even with the -10 from eccentric. Whole roll would be (71) + 22 (learning) + 70 (tech) - 10 (eccentric, facing a warp entity) = 153, just past the DC. You didn't need to roll too high to win this due to you guys starting with high tech levels, but boy howdy failing that would have been bad for you.

Well the worst has passed, and with the warp entity countered for the time being we can further pursue next steps

Purge next turn?

Well, as Far as i know, there is a castigator-class titan stuck in the warp, so perhaps we can do something about it, although just the thought of going into the warp is already unwise, I can't even think in going in the warp and actively stay there searching for something.

Yeah, I imagine he wont want to touch the IoM. Pretty much everything against what he served before.
Plus the Imperium (and also Mechanicus) would try to wipe him out for being an Abominable Intelligence from their perspective. They rather shoot first, ask questions never.

Although I wonder if it's possible for him to get some Primarchs on his side when their pods are scattered around the galaxy.

Ooooh thats a great idea warmachine! Imagine him raising 1/2 primarchs. That would would be very interesting. Maybe Perturabo, and Manus
Oh yeah those two are very good at building new inventions and weapons. Plus, since most of the Space Marine Legions willingly follow their Primarchs who went Loyalist and Traitor during the Horus Heresy, the Iron Warriors and Iron Hands would defect to the rebuilt Federation led by their respective Primarchs.

Yep. I doubt any legion would see a government that has their primarch in it and is peak DAOT, and say, "Imperium good, they bad."

What do you think the Emperor's reaction would be?

Big E after two Primarchs and their Legions defect:

There would be retaliation. In form of Leman Russ the self-proclaimed executioner and his Space Wolves to try wipe out the rebuilt Federation for treason.

Of course, there would some reasonable Primarchs (Sanguinius or Horus pre-corruption and he's very good at diplomacy) who would want to negotiate with their brothers and hear them out.

It will change nothing Emps is already on his way to wipe as out.
Yeah, true. Big E is too paranoid after the Men of Iron rebellion and doesn't want to take any chances of another one happening.

That's probably how it would go. This is a short read, but has a good general plot:

I imagine it would become a cold war, neither side really fighting.
I see and thanks, I will check it out.

I am certain that the main AI is aware of chaos, so hopefully what doomed the Federation wont happen again. They would also probably look for alternatives to warp FTL.

I was thinking more like necron tech:

Completely Sane Science (40K)

Alright, here we go again. At Icepher's request I've gone and finished a 40K story. Some of you...

This is a great daot/40k story, and the MC uses reverse engineered necron FTL. It basically bends space time, I think.

Well, talking about adopting primarchs.... Remember that 2 of them , 2 and 11 were unpersoned by the Emperor. We don't know why OTL, but ITL they are perfect candidates.

True, any ideas for their styles? Maybe they would operate with AI automata until their legions find them. If the Imperium tries to invade one of their worlds, that could be their first meeting.
