[X] The Answer is More Violence

Yea sure go adopt Conrad I am sure he will not skin someone alive. :whistle2:

Konrad might be fine with us, as right now he's playing vigilante on Nostramo right now. If we come along, show that we aren't just going to be another boot on his people's necks he might be chill with us, especially if we can help him with his powers.

If we manage to find him early on, we could possibly ride his sense of justice a bit. Oh! We should show him some 2M films! He might love Batman!

Oh fuck shit pfffffff. Can you guys image 1 month old Conrad Sperging over Batman and his utility belt? Can you image 100 year old Conrad with a utility belt?

Edit: @IronBig21 wait that much time has passed already? I thought the Emperor was still uniting Terra.

Yet another reason for Big E to want to kick our asses, we'll have turned one of his sons in to a comic book nerd.

Edit: @IronBig21 wait that much time has passed already? I thought the Emperor was still uniting Terra.

Maybe he is? I'm not totally sure about the war hammer timeline. Not sure what year Konrad landed on Nostramo.

If a vote comes up in the future, I'm 100% for exposing Conrad to early 1960's-1970's Batman, the really old classics. The really handiest of versions, just so when he's older he'll deliver one liners and will Psyckically make WHAM, KA-POW, BANG, THUD text appear whenever he fights. Can you imagine?

If at all possible we should give him a speaker that plays 1960's batman music.

Now that I think about it, it is possible that the post-confederation warlord state could in the future try to gain control of Nostramo for its resources.

Maybe, they're already been established in this region for centuries, but Nostramo is connecting this region to the galaxy at large, so they'd probably focus locally before expanding outwards like that.

We jave around 15 Years before he unites terra and the Great crusade begins

Are the primarchs even finished yet?

Yea sure go adopt Conrad I am sure he will not skin someone alive. :whistle2:

If we're still as successful with our rolls, we'll probably have taken over Nostramo before he even arrives. And who knows, maybe he can use his future sight to help us locate primarchs lol.

Convert the Research Base into a Military Installation: The base on Vareena IV makes for a fine installation, but it will need to be repaired to be anything more than a salvage operation. With its hidden facility and preexisting reinforcements it could be a rather fit ground for stationing your military for training and development. For now it would likely be rather out of the way, but once the natives of this world are contacted they could supply its needs of resources and soldiers.
DC 150
Used Techs: Infrastructure, Materials Science
Requirements: 20 Capital
Effects: Creates a piece of infrastructure that allows you to build and upgrade more advanced ground military units and which can be further upgraded to provide multiple different benefits such as super-soldier creation. Given existing infrastructure this base is best equipped for experimentation into Psionics and Biology.

Our biggest troubles will be local threats, and since we've gone the diplomatic angle we should work on increasing our diplomatic experience by uniting with the 5 local superstates of Dreioch, and contacting the last world which is full of blanks. I'd prefer we do both at once so we can get started on the research Vareena IV unlocks quicker, like creating super soldiers. It also sounds like the base will give us a safe place to research warp stuff too.

The Solar system is still in the midst of consolidation yes. He's basically done with Terra at this point with a few minor exceptions but is still a good decade or two off from the first fleets all being ready and having the Astronomicon be in a functional state.

Maybe he is? I'm not totally sure about the war hammer timeline. Not sure what year Konrad landed on Nostramo.

Honestly it isn't specified but I interpret him as being one of the later ones generally. I've actually been rolling Konrad arrival rolls behind the scenes a bit to see when he will show up.

This is possible. And yes they are finished and have already been scattered. Each one has been arriving at different times however due to the Warp being rather fucky when it comes to time.

Negative we have WOG that the GC has been ongoing for some time

GC has not started yet though they are conquering the Solar system at the moment.

Here's some logos I put together for each of the Ministries.

@Redshirt Army GOOD SHIT MY DUDE!
Does the QM does omake points? Cuz this should be worth points!

Don't see why not. If you're good enough then definetly.

I haven't really had any omakes until now so that hasn't really been a concern but sure. Have a assignable +10 on a single roll next turn. I'ma pin that logo set somewhere on here.

I'm late with this, but still have the errors spotted in the order of reading in The State of the Galaxy Informational post this turn:

Known Nations and Peoples:
The Provinces of Cantara (Assimilated Human / Alien civilizations)
Worlds: Vareena III
The Republics of Cantara have been integrated into the New Confederation as its very first provinces and non-refugee peoples. Their ways of life have been greatly changed by the arrival of the Prometheus and its denizens, but have quickly reformed themselves to embrace the wonders of modern technology and modern social organization. The cities are no longer their own states, but instead have formed the base of a new united Cantaran identity, likely one that will entrench itself upon the sector as those first to be enlightened spread out and colonize new worlds.

Province not Provinces, twice with the second time not being in capital letters.

Eldar Raiders? (Tier 4 Eldar Civilization)
An attack on Cantara has shown that the Eldar in the very least still exist as a threat. However, these pirates and raiders seem weird from what little you know of their civilization, as they showed little to no psionic capabilities and fully relied upon their technology. You haven't a clue of their origins or plans.

Known Entities and Phenomena:
Schemer-Trickster Strain Warp Entities: Unlike the constructed warp entities of the Eldar and some other minor civilizations, the Schemer-Tricksters seem to be natural born entities born of the warp. Lacking cohesive forms they seem incredibly prone to scheming, mutation and change, likely indicating that to be the metaphysical concepts they are formed around. Further research is required to understand their deeper connections to the warp but as of yet encounters with this strain indicate a distinct lack of metaphysical order and high rates of aggression.
Further examination of the strain and research data associated with them is required to attain an understanding of its possible creators or ways to counter and pacify members of this strain. Further expansion of weaponry capable of destroying them is extremely high priority as encountered specimens are unlikely to be truly dead.

However these not However, these

civilization as not civilization, as

Warp Entities not warp entities as that is the proper noun to call them

born entities of the Warp not born entities born of the warp as in this case entities is more of a general term and you doubled up the use of the word born

Warp, but not warp but

Murderer-Warrior Strain Warp Entities: The Murderer-Warrior Strain seems somewhat unique amongst the available strains in that they seem to occur far less commonly in most populations, but amongst criminal and soldier populations seem to run rampant. Fittingly, their metaphysical concept that they are bound to seems to be mostly bound to violence and bloodlust, and are likely to be the most easily avoidable Strain to avoid summoning. Ensuring high levels of mental health amongst the general population and the soldiery should help prevent the menacing berserkers of this strain from becoming an issue.

Hedonist-Gluttonous Strain Warp Entities: The Hedonist-Gluttonous Strain is confirmed to have originated amongst the Eldar, but very little seems to be well known about their actual capabilities or how they have changed the Eldar. Their focus on unabashed hedonism is rather worrying, but given that it seems the Eldar were able to coexsist with their presence for some time, they are likely to be amongst the least immediately dangerous strains of these entities, though they may be very dangerous over time. Given that these were created by a cult there are very important questions to be raised as to what created the other three main strains.

Controllers: The Controllers seem to be a rare sort of warp creature in the fact that they inherently both of the material and immaterial dimensions. Frighteningly capable at controlling minds and keen on preying on those psions that lack direction or trust they are a clear threat to the people of this galaxy and are amongst the highest priority entities to avoid creation of. Thankfully the solution to preventing their creation is a rather acceptable policy of simply ensuring high levels of mental health on the part of psions and maintaining amongst them good levels of socialization. Creatures that feed and thrive on fear and isolation make a key point to the thought driven nature of the warp and may help with understanding other warp entities.

Fittingly their not Fittingly, their

Also @NotCaligula I don't see a reserved space beneath the turn post for cataloguing the Informational Threadmarks. Is that going to happen after we are done with this turn's special event? Or do you no longer have it in you to do it every turn?

  • [X] The Answer is More Violence
[X] Bombardment Focus: As it stands you have far too few assets for the safe invasion of another vessel and no idea of the capabilities of this anomalous infection it bears. The safest option in this case would be to fight this ship with direct fire from your main guns and whatever other options you can spare to the fight. (Space focused operation, will only use space assets and will likely leave little to salvage or save. Will roll two rounds of combat per unit to kill it quicker but at the cost of losing whatever might be within. Mutually exclusive with Stalling Focus.)
[X] Stalling Focus: With it being closer to the planets now it may be worthwhile to attempt to prevent its approach more directly, even if it might come at a cost to you. While putting yourself or other forces in the way of its travel should save the planets from their touch its almost certainly going to hurt to do so. (Space focused operation, will only use space assets and will attempt to prevent the ship from advancing deeper into the solar system. Will roll one round of combat per unit and kill it slower while still leaving little for salvage. Mutually exclusive with Bombardment Focus.)

Okay this is pretty unanimous. Will do the rolls and hopefully post the next threadmark tomorrow.

Okay new update might be a bit because I'm busy today but rolls have been done. RIP fighters? I think PR-01 got the kill though.

Thank god we made those Bombers this turn, their sacrifice will not be in vain. Also glad to see Silia kicking ass here.

I'd say we've gone an truly gotten a proper Ghoul Stars greeting at this point. Can't wait for when we find the no-clipping planets and all the cryptid xenos.
