All I did was try and make some lemonade by doubling down on a fuck up in a Nasuverse/Nanoha/Madoka quest while playing as Kiritsugu!
:(

What are you supposed to do when the police catch you using Yakuza connections to forge immigration documents for magical, extraterrestrial human refuges, resulting in the Mage Association sending an army of Enforcers to to wipe a town off the map in the interest of preserving the secrecy of magecraft?!?!

My response?
[x] Plan Crazy Enough to Work/Breaking the Masquerade

[x] Have a TSAB delegation meet with the local mundane authorities to completely end the secrecy of the Moonlit World.
-[x] Explain that the immigrants whom Maiya was making false documentation for were actually extraterrestrial refugees, and thus had no legal means of travel, but should be allowed into the country due to their status as refugees.
--[x] Use the technological advances that TSAB can offer to sweeten the deal.
-[x] Explain the existential threat posed to the city by the Mage Association's Enforcers and that we wish to help defend the city.
--[x] Use every trick you've ever learned to help the JSDF exploit the Enforcers' underestimation of the capabilities of mundane weaponry.
-[x] Based on the circumstances of Maiya's actions, negotiate such that she receive a pardon in exchange for our cooperation and a successful defense of the city.
-[x] Break the news about the existence of the supernatural to the mass media around the globe ASAP in order to force the Mage Association into a war on many fronts. International governments will not at all be pleased to learn of the existence of the Mage Association.
--[x] This will also ensure that even if the Enforcers succeed in wiping Uminari off the map, it will fail to preserve the secrecy of the Moonlit World.

[x] Call for aid from your allies, the enemies of your enemies, and opportunists.
-[x] Lindy Harlaown calls in as many TSAB forces as she can, especially in the form of ships, to defend the city.
--[x] She explains to her superiors that doing so will grant them the chance for far larger numbers of refugees to integrate into the planet's society with fewer changes to their lifestyles.
--[x] Call in the full force of the faction of refugees who have wanted to break the masquerade for a few years already.
-[x] Appeal to global magi of younger bloodlines who are dissatisfied with the elitism of the Mage Association.
--[x] Use the Midchildan magecraft system and TSAB society as proof that the common notions that older bloodlines are inherently more powerful and that magecraft becomes weaker as more people understand it are both false.
-[x] Inform Iskandar and Waver Velvet of this plan and offer them the chance to join forces.
--[x] We're both being targeted by the Mage Association, and its well known that those who share mutual enemies make good allies.
---[x] Point out that having Iskandar and his army heroically defend the city against impending doom while under a global spotlight would serve as an unparalleled starting point for any recruitment drives that would be necessary before attempting their dreams of conquest.
So basically: Kitsirugi sees overkill, he raises them by OVERKILL!

[X] Read the slip from Chrono.

I change my vote, so no more bashing your head against your desk.

[X] Read the slip from Chrono.

Seems like the best option. No need to take a risk here; we can save the actual risks for romancing the target.

That was very difficult to write a response for, but seeing this posted here has finally made me resolve to get something posted. Granted, it was mostly done, but still had a few tweaks for it to turn out... acceptable.

.....I didn't even realize that you follow this quest..........

It's what I was hoping for, too. But I was also hoping to get her consent, first. Not just slip her booze without her knowledge.

I was expecting that Real!Vita would realize what was going on, and attempt some kind of silent eye contact communication thing to show her approval or disapproval.

Dude, Non-verbal communication through eye contact and subtle shifts in facial expressions is a sacred art shared only among the closest of friends and family.

And the look meaning "Pass the Alcohol, bro" and its many variations (like, for example "Toss me a drink, bro, I'll need it deal with this shit" and "Fuuuck this shit, let's go get some beer already") are secrets known only by the closest bros and meant to be used only amongst themselves.

Unfortunately, this universe's Vita and Yuuno have not yet become true bros and as such, they lack the understanding of one another needed to convey such concepts.

I'm afraid we'll need to rely on the more mundane methods of communication, such as unsubtle glances at the subject of the conversation and vague hand gestures. On the worst case scenario, we might have to rely on speech. Hopefully it won't come to that. :V

New goal: become bros with Vita, the real one, by the end of the quest.

You are wise, good sir.

Interlude: Levi appears in a flash!
What is this I don't even..?

***
Somewhere in the distant kaleidoscope that makes up the world, a blue haired female woke up from the small nap she he was having. She sat in bed, only moving being the blinking of her eyes before she shot out of it like a rocket.

"ALL RIGHT!" She yelled, pumping her fist in the air. "I have once again surpassed all limits and have starred in a fanwork once more!"

She landed on the ground before pulling a golden throne out of nowhere along with a crown. before sitting on it and waved a newly found fan to her face.

"So," She said with a smirk. "Why have I been called? And as the main character to boot! Praise me more!"

Alright, that's enough insanity for you.

"Never! My insanity's one of my defining traits!" She pouted, losing her throne. "Hey!"

Shut up, you've read the vote right?

"Of course! Just who do you think I am!" She said with a prideful smirk.

Look, just get on with the plot and we'll all be happy.

"Fine fine..."

Sulking a bit, she walked around the area until she found the second star of this interlude.

"Stern! Stern!" She exclaimed, bursting into the room with renewed vigor. The sight in front of her would have made many wonder about the occupants mental help.

Along the pink decorated walls were pictures of one certain blond haired young man with a big poster of him right above the bed. The floor was aligned with dvds and plush toys of a certain ferret and a computer monitor was shown picturing a poster of two young girls with the words "Third movie won't you please come out!".

A short haired girl sat next to a Yuuno body pillow as she looked up from her PsP game.

Our protagonist did not care about any of this as she immediately made a grab for the psp.

"Damn straight!"

Shut. Up.

"Hey! Hey Stern! Whatcha playing?" Levi asked, only to be pushed back as Stern began to hug her PsP for dear life.

"Levi." Stern declared, staring at the hyperactive "What have I told you about bursting into my room?"

"Relax~ It's not like any of the fans are watching!" Levi replied, giving a suspicious wink to no one. "Oh! Oh! I know, it's that game you stole from that store! Magical Game Lyrical-"

"That is indeed what I am playing." Stern answered, showing her the psp to reveal a sleeping Vita. "But I have no idea why it is your concern. I am merely curious as to what a game involving Yuuno-sensei would be like. It has... surpassed my expectations. Though I do not know which route to go down."

"You could have just played our games you know!" Levi replied cheerfully, before pulling out a black board with a drawing of a chibi Stern on it. "And I know why you're having trouble! You want to complete the game but you also want to go down Yuuno's route!"

Levi fell onto the floor with a dramatic side the room went dark and a spotlight fell upon her.

"Oh Teacher," She said in a perfect impression of Stern's voice. "When will you stop staring at that lesbian copy and look at me?"

"Life isn't a cheesy drama Levi," Stern corrected, with a faint blush. "And I will have you know that I looked up the walkthrough for all the endings-"

"YOU WHAT?!" Levi shouted, standing up before grabbing her by the collar. "Why would you do that!? That is hearsay of the highest level! If someone looked up the walkthrough on our game, why he wouldn't live to tell the tale!"

"-And I discovered that there is no precise way to beat the game." Stern finished, completely ignoring Levi's tirade. "The people in charge wanted to create a very immersive experience, a bit too immersive. The game adapts to you and every player gets a different ending."

Levi let go of Stern, letting her fall flat on the bed, before she looked off into the distance.

"Do you hear that?" She asked, pulling out a blue lollipop. "It all depends on what you do!"

"....Wait, this doesn't explain anything! Do I still get payed?"

No.

"Aw... At least give me some chicken!" Levi shouted.

Finish that Lollipop first.

"Fine!" Levi pouted, licking her lollipop and walking out of the room, leaving Stern to her game.

Stern said:

DAMN YOU DECAAAAAAAAAADE!!!!

Screw it, we're going for Stern route now!

I asked for a clear-cut path to winning the game, so that we'd have a solid idea of what to do, even if we still wound up fighting over one waifu vs another.

My hopes were for nothing.

THIS IS ALL DECADE'S INFINITE DAZE'S FAULT!

About the only good news I can salvage from it is that OOC we have strong evidence that Stern wants Yuuno to, ah, slip her the ferret if you know what I mean. Which makes it the best of a lot of bad options if we can manage to find her in-game and romance her.

I suggested a Material route ages ago! I even asked if the unlock condition for the Material routes was collecting all the Bad Ends!
I actually think I half-remember that.

Also, I hadn't played Gears of Destiny back then, so I didn't appreciate the Materials until very recently.

Stern's the only one I'd care to try and romance, though.

Well, yeah, Levi and Dearche are a bit too crazy. Stern had entertaining interactions with Yuuno in GoD. Surprisingly, GoD isn't actually the only place that he gets that whole Mistaken For (absurdly) Badass thing. Its also used in one of the movie Sound Stages as the reason why he asked the In Universe creators of the propaganda film for a reduced role.
