Why are they worried about their Shiny Rocks? When Shiny Rocks get dirty, you lick them clean! Silly humans, they don't even know how to do that!
After all, Pink Girl doesn't even know how to give herself a proper tongue bath! You have to do that for her!
You guess it falls to Best Cat to teach them! So you abandon your food and pad over to Yellow Girl's Shiny Rock, which is sitting on the table.
And you begin licking it.
"Ah, Homura-chan," Madoka reaches out to pull you away, "Don't do that to Mami-san's Soul Gem!"
The last bit of black comes away as Pink Girl pulls you back, and you hack it up.
See? Now they can do it.
Yellow Girl is staring at you, wide-eyed.
"Homura-san..." she gapes, "You just... you..."
"Did the Kitten seriously just cleanse your Gem?" Kyouko leans in close, poking your ear, "No way."
"I don't understand," Hitomi looks around at the others, "What does this mean?"
"What it means," Kyouko gently takes you from Pink Girl, "That little Homu-kitty here is now a strategic asset. Our strategic asset. With her around, we'll never have to hunt Witches again!"
'That is an outcome that we cannot allow.'
All eyes turn to see the BunnyCat, which sits on the couch, tail waving as it stares straight at you. You mewl in greeting.
'I admit that I had hoped to study Homura longer, to gain more data, but she is becoming an interfering factor that we simply can't abide.'
"Kyubey, what are you saying?" Mami frowns in confusion, "Homura-san is a friend, and Madoka's pet. How is she interfering? What is she interfering?"
'Your inability to understand is irrelevant,' Kyubey replies coldly, making Mami flinch, 'We will remove the interference.'
The rings around its ears start to hum, floating off to just above its head, and turning to face you. Their insides begin to glow as the two circles begin to spin, rising in pitch ominously.
Ooh, shiny.
Then, as the noise begins to reach its apex, Best Pillow rears up from behind BunnyCat, grabs it in her mouth, and shakes it from side to side violently!
You hear a snapping noise.
The rings fall to the ground, clinking harmlessly. BunnyCat is limp in Best Pillow's mouth. The doggirl stands there for a moment, before her ears droop sadly.
"Broken?" she asks around a muffled mouth of Kyubey.
Yellow Girl looks positively sick.
