[X] Cleanse
[X] Blessing of Might
When it came to partying, there was little better than her. It probably wasn't something that one should be proud of, but Faith did enjoy that particular skill. Waltz in with utter confidence, and tilt your hips just so. Flutter those eyelashes and smile. Most men went to putty, and those that weren't were usually gay. They were fun to mess with too, but she had to be more subtle with it.
The beat of the music was her lifeblood. The way the bodies moved and gyrated a better drug than any alcohol. Faith was at her heart a physical girl, and she knew it. Found pleasure in acts of flesh. Fighting, fucking, partying, she loved them all, and liked to think herself good at them.
Though the fighting part was actually a bit of a newer addition. Diana's lessons in swords had hit on a need she hadn't known she had. Astral's assistance had just increased that need.
She wanted, no needed to fight. She had to feel the adrenaline in her veins and rip and tear at her opponents. She couldn't yet. Might never be able to. It bit at her a little, but she pushed it aside like she did all her problems. Buried it under what she could do.
In this case infiltrate the club and play innocent party girl. It wasn't particularly hard. She was hot, and she knew it. That opened a lot of doors if she wanted to. Especially in clubs like this. The bounces were usually let girls in for free were they attractive enough, and she fit the bill easily. The harder part was getting the attention of the proper people.
That took time that she might not have. Astral could probably bust in and beat people up, but that would be a great way for things to go bad, and as much as she loved to fight, even she could tell when things were a bad idea. So play it subtle and safe. Get a feel of who was good and bad, where the currents were and weren't.
The little dorky kid that was Astral's friend had managed to find the owner's name, but that was frankly useless to her. The son's name was better. He wasn't a regular though. She couldn't get the feeling that he was even really involved in the thing. No mention from the regulars once she had wormed her way in.
The son's friend though. That had been something more. A bit of talking, and a weekend where the boy had been there had confirmed something a bit skeevy about him.
Nothing concrete. Just something that made her wary. The way he grinned, the way his eye's roamed. Something about his demeanor made her want to move away and keep away. He was cold when the entire club was hot. So he was probably what she needed. It only took some dancing and swallowing her disgust to get his attention. Then it was simply a matter of playing hard to get and giving the 'I have a boyfriend' excuse.
She could almost hear the gears grind behind the smarmy face, and then she had a free pass for Astral on the appropriate day. Almost too easy really, though she knew there was likely going to be plenty of complications.
The night in question actually had the club well lit, and the music turned down. Astral had been let in and she was there to work the crowd. The only real question was where the ritual was going to take place.
She got her answer when Mr Creepy started off the party. "Welcome one and all! My name is Freddy, the one who's gotten this little shindig together. To my side is the son of the owner, who we call Manny." The man waved to the awkward looking guy next to him. "And we're all absolutely ecstatic to have you! This party is a sort of tradition in this place. It's dedicated to the old god Dionysus. You know the old god of wine and parties!" Freddy raised his glass, and in amusement those drinking already did so as well. " Freddy gave an exagerated wink. "He's a good guy, if old as Greek myths. So, in the spirit of those olden days, we have a series of wreaths for the rest of you! Girls get the ones with the flowers. Boys, yeah, you get the sticks."
A few laughed as Freddy pulled on what looked to be a circle of branches around his neck. "Now these are technically grape vines, to keep in spirit, but the girls get to look pretty, that's what's important. " More people laughed. "Now as a caution. We've seen some rather... Dangerous behavior for the past few years. It's a great party, but try to remember to drink responsibly!"
Faith tuned out the rest as she looked around. There, on the table were more wreaths. There were plenty of whites and golds. But her eyes were drawn to the twelve seperate flower laden wreaths. Purple and far more elaborate than the others. Already the girls were streaming towards them.
If she took one, she would be directly part of the ritual. She could tell now that she was thinking about it.
With Astral's blessing, she should be perfectly safe even, and it would break the entire thing. The question was, did she want to?
