"Buying" the sheep that are already at the army and sending the Lucani off with roughly equivalent value in presents.
The Lucani unit of currency is sheep.

I kinda assume they don't use sheep for all their needs. Pots, knives, jewellery etc are difficult to fashion from ovines.

And what sort of rough currency equivalency of goods are we looking at?You could try giving them what the Peuketii say is an equivalent amount in metal weapons and tools.
is there any map we have or can someone make one or something?

Fucking hell, that's a lot of sheep.45 talents worth of it. Keep in mind there is no guarantee the Lucani will accept it.
Do we have much in the way of sheep in Eretria at the moment? It's as much the expense of organizing everything and paying for this specific shipment of weapons right now.
Factions have also been added to the front page.
So could we just take both sheep and Lucani shepherds back to Eretria and make use of some of that huge amount of undeveloped land we've got lying around for sheeples? Not much, unfortunately. The Peuketii have some but you'll have to buy them, obviously, and the whole thing is quite convoluted.

I mean if you wanted to, yes, but it'd very unpopular since the sheep would overwhelmingly go to aristocratic landlords with large estates capable of supporting them.
What if we put the sheep up for auction and use the talents from the sale as loot for the army.
Ghostly voice is heard muttering in the distance "Public Lands..."I mean if you wanted to, yes, but it'd very unpopular since the sheep would overwhelmingly go to aristocratic landlords with large estates capable of supporting them.
Could we pass a motion to distribute sheep and grazing land to hoplites that have exemplified themselves during this war?
Ghostly voice is heard muttering in the distance "Public Lands..."
Yes but this would provide some talents for those in the army who could not use sheep back home.
Didn't we just annihilate a small upland city in grazing land?I mean, I guess? The coastal plain isn't fantastic for grazing.

Okay, is that coming up later then? There's no straightforward way for us to try and kickstart some sheepherding on Eretrian land? That's not your land, that's Peuketii land. It's separated from your own lands by Rhyps' grazing and farm land and will have to be distributed to the cities.

What sort of price would we be looking at to take the Lucani to Eretria, let them see how awesome we are, then send them off home with some pressies, I'd assume at a discount since we can do it without urgency and at source? While also seeing if any want to stay as hired shepherds.
