Aha!

So Zalgo was Tony the Pony all this time?

It all makes sense now! :V

[X] Charge into the bulding shoulder first to break down the door.
-[X] run like hell to the ritual room killing anything demonic on the way
-[X] yell "WAAAAAAGH!!!"

Orky problem solving procedures for the win!

Obelisk
The urge to let loose a 'WAAAARRRGH' at the top of you theoretical lungs crosses your mind. Then you remember what happened the last time you utilised a war cry from that particular, hopefully entirely fictional, universe. Perhaps this time it would be best not to tempt fate.

You do need a war-cry though. To warn Lucas you're coming in if nothing else. And on that note....

"FOR PONY!" You charge the door head first.

CRACK

"Aaiiie!" Diana, still under your arm, covers her head with her arms to try and defend herself from the rain of splinters. The door itself, mostly intact but missing chunks around where the hinges were, folds inwards concertina style and lands with a thump.

"I could get used to having you around." Freyja comments lightly, admiring your handiwork for a moment. You don't pause longer than the couple of second you need to check your helm is still on straight and draw your sword. By necessity you have to drop your two charges to accomplish that.

You scan the immediate area, sword raised. The door opened straight onto the front room. There's embers glowing in a fireplace in the outside wall, a threadbare rug thrown haphazardly between a small table with accompanying chairs and a semi circle of cushioned chairs that seem unused. Like the owner has been hoping to entertain but so far failed to attract any company to speak of.

No crystalline horde trying to march over Nirn and destroy all in the name of their master. A good sign.

You charge up the stairs at the back of the room next, like a bluish crystal blur of spiky motion. Leaving the three women rushing after you, Freyja in the lead.

Another door dares to bar your way. You simply lower your head as you charge a second time. "FOR PONY!"

The door poses no resistance, hurling itself open and smashing off the inside wall, and your excess momentum sends you careening into a chair. It splinters into matchwood, tangling your legs up. There's a single horrible weightless moment then you're flat on your face. The floorboards look fairly well kept, a nice sort of honey colour with a beautiful dark looping grain that runs down the length of each beam and....

None of this is actually relevant. You scramble back upright.

Lucas is crumpled up in a corner, like he's been blasted there by some kind of unrelenting force. The circle he described described is still glowing on the floor, all lines and symmetry and triangles. There's a hexagonal crystal jutting up from the middle of the circle, the top tapers sharply to a point and it's a dull greyish blue. You step closer, sword raised. The very tip of the point comes up to perhaps your knee if you're generous.
obelisks seem to really like their priests, like a big non-sentient crystal puppy monument
You don't see Sullinus.

Looking at the miniature obelisk closer you think you can see the odd flash of colour deep inside the grey blue depths. Red maybe... a little bit of purple... deep fiery orange... a flash of silver. You tilt your helm quizzically. There's something there, something in the obelisk, some potential in there that would just require you to reach out and take it.

Your hand is an inch away from the smooth crystal of the obelisk.

[ ] Reach out for the potential you feel is there
[ ] Reach out for the power already in the obelisk
[ ] Stab it. Repeatedly. With all of your hate.

Consider your options carefully, at least one of them is a trap. Write ins are restricted to embellishments to the set forth options on this vote. Have fun ;)

[X] Stab it. Repeatedly. With all of your hate.

We are a strong, independent crystal Daedra, and we don't need no obelisk power-boost.

[X] Fight Order with Chaos!
-[X] Smash your hand upon the miniature Obelisk and absorb it!
--[X] Shout "Get in mah belly!"

[X] Stab it. Repeatedly. With all of your hate.
-[X] then burn it with fire and lightning
-[X] then hack at it again while your mage friends blast it with magic and freya hacks at the circle
-[X]then burn the room down with lots and lots of fire just to be sure.

[X] Reach out for the power already in the obelisk

A little order but not too much.

So, from what I can gather, this pylon is probably sheogorath-corrupted. The existing power seems Orderly, the potential seems Chaotic.

Thus, taking the power involves aligning ourselves with Jyggalag, taking the potential involves aligning us with Sheogorath, and smashing it is a refutation of both.

This is undercut somewhat by the invisitext-voice-of-fuck-knows-what wanting the existing power, rather than the potential, as one might expect.

The "destroy with all of your hate" option is a little concerningly worded, and exactly where you'd put the trap if you were designing this scenario as a trap.

All in all, there really isn't enough data to solve it, so I'm going to vote with my gut.

[X] Stab it. Repeatedly. With all of your hate.
-[X] Ask the others to see to the wounded man.

[X] Get the Fuck out of the room. Ask the girls to destroy it.

Inadmissible vote. We can only embellish, not add new options.
Good vote, like it, it made me chuckle but... uh

I won't be counting it. Sorry :(

Why? I'm embellishing
[] Stab it. Repeatedly. With all of your hate.
by asking someone else to do it for me.
Hm. I was the impression that we could add stuff, but not choose an essentially different course of action than those presented, and that looked to me like the latter.

@Kyrina, is that close enough to count as an embellishment, or a different option?
