Freya noticing Lucas is a recipe for bad shite.

By my guess, the Pasta vote and my own can coexist reasonably happily, more or less fitting in around each other, but the interpretive dance option could well bugger up our chances if it has too much support.
. . .
So whats your argument?
Its not like any of us voted for stealth dancing because we thought it was a sensible and reasonable way to communicating discretely.

Either one of us is misunderstanding or overlooking something, or we disagree on something fundamental, as I had thought the problems obvious enough to pass without mention.

So please forgive me if I spell out my axioms in excruciating detail.

  • Freya is a cop, and has arrested Lucas before, so shewill be able to identify him as a criminal at a glance.
  • Freya noticing our association with Lucas at this point in time seems likely to cause severe setbacks to our goals, torpedoing relations with her, potentially getting us into serious legal trouble, and pissing Morlia off (but not in the fun way). Especially since it will legitimise the earlier accusations that we were working with him to steal shite.
  • If we apparently spaz out and start dancing, particularly while looking at Lucas to see the results, it will likely draw their attention, and make them look for the reason why we are acting bizarrely this time. This becomes particularly troubling if we get a relatively mixed vote, which tends to result in us trying to do both, with even worse results.
  • Thus, the dancing vote having too high a share of the votes seems to risk major setbacks.

Or, in tl;dr form, Actual stuff is at stake now, so we can't afford to dick around.

Yes. You are misunderstanding me.

You see you are making the tragic mistake of thinking I'm remotely serious about this.

I read this quest because I enjoy the comedy, and things are most funny when excrement hits the fan and we need a zany scheme.
I'll go down fighting before I let try hards try and make this serious.
'S your prerogative, I guess.

Me, I prefer it when the silliness is a way of getting out of trouble, not into it, and when we only make Morlia mad in the fun way, and not, y'know genuinely distressed.

[X] Leave the city now

We must leave, there is great danger here. It would be best to travel as far away from this city as possible.

Lies. Time is running out

Magic Circles
You'd rush over but there's the matter of Freyja, city guard and noted previous arrester of Lucas, to consider. Letting her know that he's around would be... unwise is probably the best word. So much progress to be undone with one encounter. You need to be crafty and clever. You need a cunning plan.

In that vein you continue along with your group towards the mages guild. A couple more stones plink against the right side of your armour. Each impact is a little harder than the one before.

Time to put the most cunning of plans into action!

You come to an abrupt halt and smack your hand to your forehead, producing a suitably dramatic hollow chiming sound. Then you notice your surrounding look like they're vibrating rapidly, everything's blurred and indistinct. You clamp your hands to the sides of your helm. Everything goes back to normal.

"Shit! I have something urgent to attend to!" You announce in your best panicked voice. Freyja and Morlia stare, eyes almost bulging with disbelief. "I will be back presently! Don't do anything I would." You wave and withdraw coolly into the crowd.

"I... I can't even...."

"He will be back, he can run really fast, let's just keep going." Diana is the best wing-lady. You need to show your appreciation for that soon.

In seconds your at the entrance to the side alley. Lucas did stick around but he seems to be considering punting a rather larger stone at you. Like as big as your closed fist big. That might actually do some damage if he can throw it hard enough.

"So... you find the stuff in Rosethorn Hall all right?" You ask. There is a ring, set with a cloudy greyish crystal on his left middle finger so the answer is probably yes. He drops the stone and you breathe a sigh of relief under your breath.

"Yeah, I found it fine but I would't be throwing rocks at you just because your info was good." He seems offended by the mere suggestion. Professional pride maybe?

"So... you don't want to run a job for me or...?" You trail off, it was a stupid question anyway but you felt obliged to ask, just in case.

"I have some information I think you'll find pretty interesting." Lucas tells you confidently. "I just got done at Rosethorn and decided to test out what this thing was really doing for me," he waves his new ring at you vaguely. "Long story short I was enjoying a brisk stroll over some roofs...."

"Wait what?!" That's some Assassin's Creed stuff right there.

"Testing ring, was roof hopping, what's so hard about that." Lucas gives you a look that makes it very clear he doubts your intellect. "Anyway, I was on top of the mage's guild and I noticed this robed guy hurry out the back like there were half a dozen clannfear after him. I followed and snuck into his house."

"What did the mage look like?" You know who you're hoping it isn't.

"Imperial, tonsure haircut, nervous enough for three of himself, fine blue robe. He seemed pretty inoffensive which is why I figured I should poke around his study a bit." It certainly sounds like it could be Sullinus, you don't think there are many other imperial mages with monk hairdos around town. Lucas continues, barely pausing for breath.

"He had this circle drawn out on the floor, all lines and numbers and stuff. It looked really... orderly. Know what I mean?" Lucas asks, it's clear he's not entirely sure what he means by that. You have a sinking feeling that you know precisely what he means though.

"Tell me that's all that was there." You plead.

"That's all that was there before I figured I needed to tell an expert on daedra about it. But the lines were glowing sort of crystal blueish, bit darker than your eyes do." Oh dear.

"And this was at his house, not the guild?" You ask for confirmation. Lucas nods. You need to get to Freyja and the others, they're going to the wrong place. "Right, thanks, that's really really useful." You're legitimately panicking now. You didn't expect things to be quite so serious. You turn, about to sprint after the others at your top speed.

"Wait, is this bad? City gone kind of bad? If it is I could get back in there and smudge some lines." Lucas offers hesitantly. There's probably still time, you think if Sullinus had done something major with that circle Lucas saw you would have felt something. Order Boy would probably be doing excited somersaults and crowing about the return of his master or something for one thing.

[ ] What do?

Sometimes people who dabble in summoning dabble in summoning.

Lucas: PARKOUR! *somersaults over Fast*
Fast: Knock it off boy wonder!
Morlia: Regretting recruiting him now?
Diana: *munches popcorn*
Freyja: STOP RIGHT THERE CRIMINAL SCUM! *chases Lucas and accidentally shield charges Fast to the ground*

This is totally how the update could have gone had the dance ninja vote not been overruled by sensible people by the way :p

Ummm would the crimnal being so freaked out that he goes to the cops keep frejya from arresting him?

[X] Tell him to get there, but stay out of sight. Don't want Freya to find him.
-[X] Grab Freya's hand, yell what's going on, and fucking run!

Ummm would the crimnal being so freaked out that he goes to the cops keep frejya from arresting him?
Well he's supposed to be languishing in a cell, not the Freyja necessarily knows that, just admitted to breaking and entering and Freyja's not in a particularly chill mood at the moment.

Make of this what you will ;)

No! Foolish mortal, you are ruining everything.

[X] Do not meddle with the ritual.

We require an obelisk! The summoners wish must be completed, I MUST RETURN TO MY LORD. Do not fight me on this, I will not let you stop me this time.

[X] "Yes, please do meddle with the ritual. I'm going to grab the others and head there as fast as I can, so make yourself scarce before we arrive. Be careful, and thanks."
-[X] Go grab the others and head there as fast as you can.

-[X] Go grab the others and head there with sufficient velocity.

Who are we? Sufficient Velocity!
What are we? Fast Enough!
