Gear/Armor: Wanderer's Cloak and Dagger
"This attire is common among Wanderers in the wild. The clothing set is often made up whatever can be scavenged and bought at a reasonable price, often leading to the look, make, and quality varying greatly. However, there is one thing that all Wanderers clothe themselves for, and that is the rain and the cold. Wearing this, you will be fairly comfortable throughout your journey while not attracting too much attention to yourself. Your clothes are also rather insulated against the weather, so unless you jump in a river you will be fairly dry. The thickness of the clothes also lends to some protection against blades and blunt force weapons. Bear in mind that the Wanderer's Cloak and Dagger has little in the way of armor, meaning that you will be very vulnerable to small arms fire. Evasion will be the key to your survival rather than fighting.
The Cloak and Dagger comes with a gas mask for low-oxygen and highly toxic areas and, as its name suggests, has a sheath in both forearms to store a Survival Knife and other tools that a Wanderer may need on his or her journey."
" Survivors and Wanderer's alike in the wilderness of Eden worship the Traveler's Pack. It is hardy, sturdy, and fairly waterproof. While fairly basic, it boasts a number of pockets to store various items needed for survival, and also comes with two straps to store long rifles. It can also be used as a pillow, and can be quite comfortable despite whatever you may put in it. The traveler's pack is love! The traveler's pack is life! Respect the traveler's pack and it will respect you!"

Storm Rifle
"An old rifle from a civilization long before Eden. The weapon is still in fine working condition despite countless eons of neglect and wear, demonstrating the quality and craftsmanship of whomever was responsible for its construction. It seems to fire some kind of powerfully charged round. Its prowess in combat situations is to be revered and respected, but it doesn't seem like you'll be able to get much hunting use out of it. The white plating on its body is rather eye-catching, and as an artifact may attract the attention of unwanted guests. Don't expect to find much ammunition for this weapon, as what few stockpiles that exist are either sealed or under some form of government control.
It is capable of both single and fully automatic fire, and comes with iron sights that automatically adjust to the shooter's light sensitivity when fighting in dark conditions."
"An old weapon from a bygone age. They have been found in many hidden caches all over Eden, and are quite common amongst travelers, bandits, and soldiers alike. It is a pump-action, 12-gauge longrifle that fires a spray of pellets from each shell. However, unlike traditional rifles, it can be loaded with specialized ammunition for a variety of situations. Its effectiveness in close quarters is not to be underestimated. However, contrary to popular belief it functions exceptionally well at longer ranges too. Overall a robust and reliable weapon that will serve the shooter well.
This model features no stock and a slightly shorter barrel which allows for faster drawing while being lighter, at the cost of fewer shots before needing to reload and increased felt recoil. It comes with no sights, so it is slightly more difficult to aim at range compared to other firearms. The vibrant wood used in its construction makes it a rarity on par with an artifact."
"A common knife with many applications. It is small enough to be easily handled and carried, yet robust and long enough to be used as a viable defense weapon and hunting tool. While not as effective in combat as a military-grade knife, it is very common amongst travelers and if used right and cared for will serve one very well."
"In the wilderness of Eden, only those who are quickest, strongest, and smartest survive. Whether by pure luck or experience, Wanderers have learned to thrive beyond the safety of the settlements despite all odds. Whether it be simple survival skills like foraging or complex self-defense techniques, Wanderers have familiarized themselves with the necessary abilities to keep them alive.
Be wary of a Wanderer's appearance, as many of them only grow more formidable and knowledgeable with age."
"Lady Luck"
Whether it was being the sole survivor of a mass Shade attack, or simply returning from a suicide mission alive, others have told you that you were blessed with ungodly luck. You may find a mass of wealth, or a life-long companion on your journey through this miraculous luck. You have made grave errors on your travels, only to be saved by sheer coincidence. However, luck is rather fickle and has an odd way of changing. It would be best not to rely on chance and gambles to get you through the day, but you never know what surprises it may have in store for you.
Problem solved... That was easier than I thought...
I'm not familiar with Xenforo yet, so I didn't know if we could do an accordian style thing. I think I might use it instead of the tab, since it seems to fit my inventory style better. xD

[X] "Good night guys... Until next time..." (Calm) [X] Wait for them by the side of the road. They may be allies, or at least friendly enough to give you a ride to their destination. Bandits usually do not use the main roads, nor do they travel in such large convoys. But there is a first for everything...
You decide to wait for them by the side of the road. There's a possible chance that they could be another convoy coming from the opposite direction. You see more vehicles appearing over the horizon. They all seem to be following one another in a single-file column. You notice the large amount of combat vehicles that begin driving down the road towards you. A battle convoy.
The lead vehicle drives up to you, followed by the rest of the convoy. There seems to be about quite a few. A column of 8 vehicles. A man pops out of the top to man the machinegun of the head car. He racks the charging handle of the emplacement, and aims at you. It seems rather serious, but bandits using travelers as lure to halt convoys was a common tactic used in Eden for raids against unsuspecting travelers.
Instinctively you put your hands up. Better to surrender now and live to fight another day than acting foolishly and getting torn apart by bullets. However, the gunner seems to be distracted by something. Through the tinted windows you can see a figure on the right side of the vehicle wave a hand and say something.
"You sure!?" The gunner shouts over the rumbling of the engine down the gunport. The figure nods and sets his rifle in the cabin inbetween his seat and the driver's.
The passenger door opens and a man steps out. He seems rather well-dressed, wearing a camoflague patterned uniform along with a bullet-proof vest of some sort and a blue scarf. You notice that it's the same scarf as the one that the man on the gun is wearing. He dons a helmet, but his face is still visible as his goggles are wrapped above the cap. A clean, shaved face suggested that he wasn't just any average militia man. A high-ranking officer of some sort perhaps? Maybe from one of the royal lines? They definitely weren't bandits, as they would have probably raped and killed you at this point already. You drop your hands and huff a small sigh of relief. At least you are safe... for the moment.
"Who are you?" He asks, his voice sounds rather young still. "Where are you coming..." However his voice trails off as he eyes you from head to toe, studying your clothing with his green eyes. "Ah... a Wanderer..." He says after realizing who you are. "Forgive me." He apologizes. "Asking for your name was rather rude of me. You must be traveling the road I assume?"
You nod. Your eyes unconsciously study him for any signs of hostility. He seems well-built and rather rugged like yourself. He would have probably made a fine Wanderer himself if he wanted to.
"I am Duncan, Captain of the Alphonse 3rd Convoy Battalion." He introduces himself. "We were responding to a distress call from the 7th Battalion. You wouldn't happen to have come from that direction did you?"
--- [X] Warn him about the Shades and bandits further down the road as well as the fate of the convoy. It would be best to avoid more bloodshed. There has been enough as it is already... [X] Lie. The affairs of others don't concern you. You don't need to get involved with their business. [X] Say nothing and keep walking.

More or less. Although you will accrue a reputation based on your actions later on. I'm trying to find more creative ways to worldbuild other than just stating that the Wanderer already knew this when you guys as players (who essentially represent the Wanderer's thoughts and so on) don't actually know about it.

You see Duncan's face noticeably fall as you explain the situation to him. A wave of emotions flicker through his dull emerald eyes. Shock, then anger, then despair, then sorrow, then acceptance. He pauses for a moment to take in the deaths of the men and women on the convoy.
"I see." He responds. There is a hint of emptiness in his words. He rubs the dark skin of his forehead with a gloved hand, then gives you a pained grin before speaking again. "I'm sure that there was nothing you could have done in that situation." He reassures you. "Even I wouldn't have asked you to take on such odds by yourself..."
"Yeah..." Your voice trails off as you remember the burning trucks full of mutilated children, and the trapped man you were forced to kill. Your heart throbs with a pang of guilt as you remember the screams of the survivors against your turned back. The image of their half-eaten bodies and gurgling screams as the Shades crunched through their bones and flesh in a frenzy leaves you shaking your head to clear it of such thoughts. There was nothing you could have done. Not even the most skilled of Wanderers would ever think of taking on a horde of shades without large amounts of support. It would have been a hopeless endeavor.
With that, Duncan draws a circle in the air as he walks back to the humvee. The vehicles begin revving their engines as they prepare to mobilze.
"Where are you going now?" You ask.
--- [X]You have a stoic expression as you ask. [X]You have a look of concern as you ask.
---
Duncan stops and turns halfway. "We're going back to the settlement." He tells you. "I'm need to report this to the council. We'll also probably need to fortify our defenses in case the bandit decide to attack..." he pauses for a moment, "... or if the Shades catch wind of the settlement."
He extends a hand out to you. "You're welcome to join us. I take it that you're heading there as well? We could always use a Wanderer's help, and you look like you could use some rest."
--- [X]"Well isn't he a charmer?" (Friendly) [X]"Ugh... one job after another huh?" (Annoyed) [X]"Getting a free ride is always nice I guess..." (Indifferent)
---
You figure that with your fatigue, it would be impossible to continue on foot and reach the settlement in any reasonable amount of time. Besides, its always nice to take advantage of any good fortune you can get. Blessings come far and few in between here in this land.
"Sure." Your reply is curt and simple.
"Alright." He says. "You can ride in the back of my Humvee."
You plop down against the seat, your body almost literally collapsing into the vehicle. It had never occured to you how exhausted you actually were. Humans were rather tough, but going a night in the freezing cold with little water and no food would take a hard toll on anyone regardless of who they were. You rest your pack on your lap as the humvee makes a 180-turn and begins driving in the opposite direction. As you look out the window, you make out the rest of the vehicles as they pass by you. It was as you predicted, there were number of heavily armored vehicles. Many of them seemed to be infantry fighting vehicles, although there was one with a rather large turret on its top. Perhaps some heavy artillery. You wouldn't be surprised.
All the vehicles seem to have the same insignia on them. Perhaps it was the insignia of Alphonse? It appeared authentic enough. Bandits also usually didn't travel in such large numbers, as they themselves often ran the risk of getting ransacked.
The convoy continue down the road for some time. As you gaze at the endless forest that passes you by, you realize how far you still had to go. Breathing a sigh of relief, you lean back against the seat of the humvee. It is surprisingly quite comfortable, at least moreso than damp tree bark and cold stone. The gentle rocking of the car coupled with the quiet banter of the three other occupants is quite soothing to your ears. Your eyes begin to droop as your vision blurs and the sound become more and more muddled.
