-[z] Train:
--[z] With your new pet. DC 50
Roll: 28+30=58
Bare success!
It turns out that pets...animals in general are not really ready for combat. Not in the way Loki would like it--them to be. Sure it can fight for its life if the fight or flight response is activated, but taking orders and remaining calm, and even...not panicking and attacking Loki in confusion, those are things that have to be taught and trained in. Luckiily, Loki is smart, if nothing else, and with some time spent with his brand new pet, he manages to achieve these things. It's not the best combat animal, but at least it isn't the worst.
The Roc can fight with Loki and not panic or attack him. Not much else.
-[z] Get your new pet Roc to like you. DC ??
Roll:64+14+10 (Double Down)=88.
Really, what should a pet owner have to do, to get its pet, that is totally dependent on him to eat and have shelter, to like it? It should almost be...inherent if one asked Loki. But alas, Loki tries and tries to get his pet, his totally dependent awesome flying animal, to like him. They play games and do exercises, and Loki makes sure it recognizes him as its caretaker and...the results are OK. It doesn't love him to death, but it appreciates him. And more importantly, it doesn't hate him.
The Roc doesn't hate Loki. Likes him like a pet/animal likes its caretaker.
-[z] Name your new pet Roc. DC ??
Roll:64+14=78
Of course, a natural step of pet/owner bonding is to..name the damn thing. It's responsive enough and likes him enough to respond when Loki speaks in its direction and touches it but...he'd rather give the majestic beast a name.
And what a name it will be...

-[z] Attempt to balance the Kingdom's check book. Even if there were no issues, it was a good exercise... DC 95
Roll: 83+32=115, CRIT, 38+32=70 (185)
A great success!
There is not a lot wrong with Asgard's checkbook or its finances. In fact, it's almost perfect. And that's what makes this such a...difficult task for Loki to complete, but like everything else financial he does, he manages to get it done. There are minor errors here, and inconsistencies there, and so on, and honestly it's not worth the effort that Loki puts towards it. But either way, at the end of the day, it's done. And Loki now knows everything finance in Asgard. From who trades and how much, to what businesses are contributing and which ones are controlled by who.
-[z] Do an official inspection on all of the businesses in town. DC ???
Roll: 80+32=112, CRIT, 38+32=70 (182)
With balancing the checkbook comes noticing which business are taking a little off the top. And with that, comes suspicion that others might be doing the same, and thus comes an inspection, of every single business in Asgard. The Masons and the Smiths, the Merchants and the Artisans, the Carpenters, the Healers, the Pet Owners, the Farmers, the Gardeners, and so on. Loki visits them all.
Politely, he inspects their work, making sure their craft is up to standard, and more importantly that their finances are. There are some hiccups and attempts at hiding money, but Loki takes care of those.
And now he possesses knowledge of every business in Asgard. It was an enlightening exercise.
-[z] Gather information about the specific imports and exports of Asgard. DC 90
Roll: 28+32=60
A solid failure.
With so much focus on the ins of Asgard, Loki doesn't have much time to focus on the outs. The trade. Maybe next time. For now, he was busy...
-[z] Practice sneaking and hiding. It'd only improve your pranks. DC 95
Roll: 72+24=96
Bare success.
It is apparently difficult to sneak and hide with a pet roc that loves to fly directly at you and screech loudly in excitement when it does. Loki doesn't mind the good will it's showing, but he does mind the interruption of his training. He supposes that it makes it that much harder to train, which is in some way...helping?
What it doesn't help is his frustration.
+1/5 Sneaking and Hiding
-[z] Try to enhance your skills of observation. DC 95
Roll: 71+24=95
Dead on, cliff hanging success.
And...observing things, events, people, is also difficult when a giant bird wants your attention. Constantly. And flies in your view at all times, as if jealous of anything that catches your eye. Again, it is much more difficult for Loki to train his abilities of observation and perception, and he...he needs to get a handle on his giant pet eagle roc thing. And quickly.
+1/5 Observation
-[x] Visit the Library, you've heard so much about all of the different books! So much opportunity, so little time...
--[z] Continue Learning History. DC 75
Roll: 36+20=56
A failure.
What else is hard to do with a loud and restless bird as your pet? Reading. Peace and quiet is what Loki desires, and his pet is having none of that. As such, Loki gets nowhere on his studies and is tempted to enchant something to muzzle the bird and restrict its movement. Tempted. He hasn't done it quite yet.
-[z] Train your current magic(s). Strengthen them. DC 60
Roll: 39+12=51
Failure
This one, Loki cannot blame on the bird. It seems almost...mesmerized by his magic. It's quiet, it's obedient it's...just staring. It's a bit uncomfortable but Loki can ignore it. Which means only he is to blame for his failures. This time.
-[z] Relationships: Spend time with some of your favorite people in the world!
--[z] Father
Roll: 88
Loki has a great conversation with the All-Father on what he's discovered about Asgard's financial situation and its businesses. Odin seems...to be surprised by the informtation, but more surprised at Loki's initiative and ability to find and analyze everything the way he did. The conversation is lively and it goes really really well and....Loki can see some pride and respect twinkling in his father's eyes.
It feels good.
-[z] Ask Mother and Father if you could go on an expedition to explore the nine realms and beyond.
Roll: 11
"No. Absolutely not. A Prince has....has a duty to Asgard and its people and cannot be...gallivanting around the galaxy doing who knows what--" The All-Father begins, his expression is one of indignation.
"Odin. Please." Frigga says with a hand on his shoulder. She then turns to Loki. "What your father means to say, is that as prince, you have certain responsibilities to Asgard and to the nine realms. As such, while I'd love for you to be able to spread your wings and fly through the skies of the heavens and achieve everything you dreamed of, you unfortunately cannot. I'm sorry Loki."
Life...was unfair.
