-[z] Spend time with your Mother, reborn as she is. DC 50
--[z] Sigyn (Primary)
Roll: 198
It's strange in a way, as Loki spends time with both his wife and his mother. Some part of Loki remembers a time without his mother, a painful, bleak time, that was akin to suffering...but the biggest part of him remembers growing up with his mother by his side, his proud teacher, his confidant, unwavering, and never gone. It's like two timelines, two Lokis colliding and combining, and it makes his head hurt for awhile.
But Loki ignores that and instead listens intently to his mother speak as she casually discusses the going ons of Asgard. How Tyr is back as the general, how Balder exists, but is more of an...alternate Thor's son, but not the current Thor. And Torunn is the same way. Word after word spills out of her mouth as Loki 'remembers' what she speaks, adjusting to this new world...
And despite the confusion, Loki is simply happy to be in the presence of his mother once more. And so is Sigyn it seems. She and Frigga were dear friends before...they are dear friends rather. And that too warms Loki's heart.
-[z] Hang out with Thor. DC 55
Roll: 51
Unfortunately, hanging out with Thor does not yield such results. Despite their busy schedules, and ignoring their spar, the brothers do manage to make time for each other. However, the time spent, as brief as it is, is not pleasant at all. This Thor reminds Loki of Thor before his fall into insanity, his obsession with Thanos, but the pain is still too real and too raw.
The battling memories of growing up with this Thor (who apparently was never MegaThor) does not help things.
-[z] Build a Spy Base on one of the realms or other worlds (Muspelheim)
Roll: 58
Loki attempts to have his contacts build a spy base on Muspelheim, but with Surtur revived and ruling things with an iron fist...it is much too difficult.
DC revealed as 200
- [z] See what's different about the new Odin. DC ???
Roll: 189
This new Odin is...different. More strict, less fatherly, more of a king, and far more powerful. It is like he is from another realm entirely with how he acts, and with the sheer reality bending power he can pull from. He is a master of magic and incredibly powerful in battle. Some would say he's almost unbeatable. And his mind...is as strong as Asgard itself.
He is truly a force that one should not reckon with.
Loki learns that Odin is incredibly powerful. (He's basically 616 Odin).
-[z] Discern how this new Thor has changed. DC ???
Roll: 82
Loki doesn't do as well with the new Thor, but still he notices the changes. Thor is similar to how he was pre-Thanos but more...godly. More of a warrior. This Thor has a taste for epic victories and speeches, and a lot of bloodshed. He also has command over far more than just Thunder, and his Thunder is far more powerful and robust. Overall he has a versatility to him that Loki's brother did not, before he went insane.
Of course, compared to the other Thor, the insane Thor, the one who....well this one did not compare in power, but is much more pleasant to be around.
-[z] Find out what the Eye of Ages does. DC ???
Roll: 79
After looking into it, Loki finds that the Eye of Ages is a mystical item that has something to do with Time and Prophecy. The extent to which it utilizes these magics is unknown, and Loki will have to look into this further.
-[z] Make a new learning serum. DC ???
--[z] Sigyn (Secondary)
Roll: 1403
Loki and Sigyn work well together on creating new serums. This first serum, a serum to increase brain power and learning ability, intelligence if you well, is a tough nut to crack, but together they manage to do it. With both of their minds combined, they managed to create a serum that can increase mental capabilities up to a certain point. It's not absolute, but it's still good.
Learning Serum raises Learning by 20, up to a total of 50 Learning.
-[z] Make an Ice Serum. DC 350
--[z] Sigyn (Tertiary)
Roll:1428.3
Again, husband and wife make a new serum, this time specifically for Jotuns. This serum increases the Jotun's ability to control and call upon ice, and due to their great strides and successes, it could even work for other races, albeit to a lesser level.
Ice Serum gives +50 Ice to any Jotun to a max of 70. It gives +20 to any non-Jotun.
-[z] Upgrade Forged Items to get +20 in total. DC ??? x2
Roll:1446
Roll: 390
Loki's two artifacts go through the forge again and he manages to increase their bonuses to +20.
Choose what other Teleportation powers Loki chooses. 4 Points are available.
[] Momentum (Can choose to keep or stop momentum) (3 points)
[] Unwilling (At touch range) (2 points)
[] Partial (Telefrag) (3 points)
-[z] Try mixing different magics in an experiment. DC 95
Roll: 57
For whatever reason, Loki doesn't have much success when it comes to mixing his magics. It's definitely possible in theory, but he just can't manage to get it to work.
-[z] Hang out with some of your favorite people
--[z] Ryt
Roll: 98
Loki and Ryt have a good time together and somehow, Ryt's hero worship of Loki is just something that Loki thoroughly enjoys. And of course Ryt is ecstatic to have his hero here in the flesh, so it works for both men.
Of course, as is customary, Ryt has an offer to make Loki.
Ryt will make Loki a weapon of mass destruction, and in exchange, Loki will provide him the Eye of Ages and full access to Loki's resources/money. And if Loki gives Ryt the Emerald Tablets of Thoth, as well as his boots of teleportation, then Ryt will show Loki the method of production so that Loki can mass produce it. Does Loki take either deal?
[] Take Ryt's first deal, the Eye and Resources for a WMD.
[] Take Ryt's second deal, add in the boots and the Tablets for mass production of the WMD
[] Refuse both deals
[] [Ryt} Write-In
Frigga wishes to spend some time with her dear son.
[Z] Yes
Roll: 27
Unfortunately, Frigga seems too busy to spend anymore time with Loki outside of her meeting with Loki and his wife. It's regrettable, but things happen.
Amora wants to ask Loki something.
[Z] Hear her out.
Roll: 33
Amora's request is something quite simple. She doesn't like science and technology running rampant in Asgard, but she does see it's worth. Plus with Loki's skill in Forging...it only makes sense that he take lead of Nidavellir and bring his science, technology, and forging over there.
Does Loki accept?
[] Yes, become the Head of Nidavellir
[] No, decline Amora's offer
[] [Amora] Write-In
Thor asks Loki to spar.
[Z] Accept
Loki's roll: 91
Thor's roll: 126
This new Thor was as strong as the old Thor (before he went Titan-hunting), and Loki had not improved his physical abilities as much as he thought he had. Despite his brother holding back and not using lightning and thunder, Loki still found it difficult to even begin to win. It's a good fight overall, and Loki is certainly the faster fighter, but Thor is far and way stronger physically, and far more durable.
Of course Loki didn't use any ice, but the rest of his magic was fair game. And still he lost.
Thor wins the spar.
Eldir wants to try hanging out with Loki again.
[Z] OK
Roll: 59
Unlike the last time, Loki and Eldir manage to match schedules and hang out. It isn't much, just discussion on treasure hunting and magic and spearmanship, but overall it's pretty enjoyable. It might be a friendship that can grow and last.
Though Eldir does have one question...mostly about teaching Sigyn how to fight. He seems to hold her friendship dear and sees her as far too vulnerable. Does Loki agree?
[] Yeah, they should do something to teach her.
[] No, she's fine.
[] [Eldir] Write-In
What does Skrullos focus on this turn?
[Z] [Skrullos] Military Might
Roll: 97
The Skrulls seem...different than they were before. More powerful, more bitter. Either way, they manage to expand their military might significantly this turn. From procuring weapons, to military training, it's clear that the Kree nor anything like them will be taking down the Skrull again.
What does Loki tell Sigyn to focus on with Phoenix Financial?
[Z] Security
Roll: 63
Sigyn manages to not just increase physical security (yet again), but also digital security to an even higher level. It'd take a genius or a monster to break either.
