Huh...this is something I guess. However, if you are so keen in calling Loki a failure, how about we try less talking and more fixing?

To be honest, this universe generally seems to be full of all sorts of bullshit that just seem to be trying to ruin Louis day. Most of our failures we're due to us acting upon incomplete information or a player character disconnect where Loki knows potential consequences, we the voters don't. I may be wrong here but I think the QM sometimes forgets that he knows about things that are happening that the characters in the story should not know.

The last one in particular is something I personally am guilty of when I'm a DM.

Tbh that's a bit of the NPC's fault as we always try to solve things before they reach Loki, a bit of Loki's fault cause he never tries to spend time with others to learn the problem, and a bit player's fault, as Loki really did fail to live up to potential. I'll state it again, as I had as Tyr. Your a fighter, a scientist, a businessman, but not a ruler. You all can accomplish so much, but you forget what you have to work with.

We can use this opportunity to start anew. The conclusion of this brief conflict and our return to Asgard can be seen and the end of an arc and the beginning of another. This is the turning point where Loki can re-arrange his priorities and properly plan his path ahead with what he is capable of doing. Re-establish cut bonds, get our things straight with people like Amora and co, see who are our allies and make a bond with them. Frankly, I'm feeling relieved even if things didn't went well, and hopefully, just hopefully, having a nostalgic feeling that things might begin to feel just like how this quest or the previous one once felt.
 
You know what I like best about this? We finally have free time to enjoy our loved ones. It's as Sena said above, this is a chance to start anew. If I recall correctly Mega said Thor wouldn't react negatively to a few gifts from Loki. Perhaps it's time to try reaching out again?

It'd be easier if Thor wasn't flickering in and out of existence.

I agree. That said we aren't really a failure or that much of one. Yeah we made some serious screw ups but we did still do some amazing thing which is even acknowledged with people like the Jotun admitting so. We have done things like create a super serums including magic serums, done a number of things to improve both Asgard and Jotunheim, created one of the most powerful armies in the universe and founded the most successful financial institution in the universe.

Loki is a great scientist and our lifelong commitment to forging has been paying off, but otherwise I wouldn't trust Loki to run a pet store.

Okay fellas, time to turn another page from the book of Loki's life and write something...new. Something better. The sun will shine upon us.

Much prefer this then the angsting since here we actually attempt to improve ourselves and actually learn from past mistakes.
