@KnowledgeKing if Asgard gives up the sanctions, what will the intergalactic community think?
How is Loki planning to stop Thor if he apologies?

Thor is still more popular then Loki and Odin is going to wake up in a few turns so you cannot banash him. Besides the warrior three and Sif are his friends so they will leave with him.

I have no idea what exactly we expected to happen when we agreed to meet with him. If we give up our brother in order to please Thanos than all of Asgard will think we are a monster

How are we giving up Thor? Thor attacked without our approval and escaped. Thanos isn't demanding his head. He could have killed him, but chose to spare him, precisely because he thinks of Loki as an ally. That's the advantage I'm voting to preserve, not because I like it, but because we don't have a coherent plan to kill Thanos with direct means.

Our best warrior just got his ass kicked.

DOn't make assumptions. And is Thor more loved by the Asgard's populous? @KnowledgeKing

Let me ask you how do you expect to stop Thor or keep his friends as units. Also are you going to be seen as a weak scared king of one of the biggest military powers being bullied by a small world.

Hmm...

Will Loki apologize for Thor's attack?
[X] Yes, and ask if he... killed or crippled anyone.

Will Loki lift sanctions?
[X] "Lifting them so soon would be suspicious, but my brother attacking your people shames me... I'll reduce it for now, and it'll officially be due to sympathizing with the unexpected attack on your people. The rest your people have to 'earn', so I have an official reason to remove the rest of it."

This has become a game of political intrigue... And Thor is a foolish, naive oaf.
I'd say bull/hot headed and the type to rush into things without thinking things through. I mean that's pretty much canon Thor before his character development. There is a really good reason that Odin changed his mind the day that Thor was meant to be crowned King since he realized that Thor wasn't ready to be King.

Now that I think about it we actually really lucked out that Thor decided he didn't want to be King since at this point Thor really doesn't have the best judgement and lacks maturity.

A large reason that Thanos was able win this fight against Asgard was because he had an army of mercenary's with him that he paid out of our pocket. The more ways that we engage in economic warfare the more likely He is to run out of money and they could to abandon his cause.

[X] Apologise, make it clear to Thanos that if Thor makes a repeat of his actions he will be exiled from Asgard.

[X] "The sanctions will stay, albeit a bit reduced. A rebuttal for what grief you caused my parents. If only you hadn't caused them harm... maybe, things would have been different

This is the most politically shrewd answer so far.

Will Loki apologize for Thor's attack?
[] Yes

Will Loki lift sanctions?

Thor was able to do so much damage that Thanos had to step in. This means if we gave Third enough boosts he has a good chance of killing him.

Loki is immensely popular in Asgard, he is the one who saved everyone. Thor took a vacation in everyone's time of need and bailed on his royal duties only to get his ass kicked before running away.

Our reputations is well in hand and we can always do a calming action if it looks like there will be problems.

As for Thor, he is basically a free agent at this point. We do not control his actions and he does not consult with us. I'm fine with publicly dissociating from his actions, while proving unofficial support, if he asks for it.

If Thanos figures it out, we can state that we care for Thor as a brother, proving the basic means for his survival, even if we don't agree with his approach. That would be a delaying action.

The point is to buy time until we build strength and the thread can form a plan for attack.

If you have a different plan, that could defeat Thanos as we are, I'm certainly open to brainstorm.

EDIT:

Thor was able to do so much damage that Thanos had to step in. This means if we gave Third enough boosts he has a good chance of killing him.

I'm fine with supporting this in the next vote. Arming up is what we've been doing so far.

We shouldn't give power to a genocidal, civilian killing oaf.
Do we know if he killed civilians or only military? Also Thanos is no better or different, we should not give in to a genocidal insane man.

Edit: we go to the dwarves and have them upgrade his hammer and have Osmond, Amora, Lorelei, and Loki with the help of dwarves create the ultimate Armor. Give said Armor to Thor with the stipulation he only attacks military targets and Thanos.

Regardless Thor attacked innocent people, whose only "crime" is having Thanos as their king. Loki should not approve of such behavior, and getting into a martial or political war with Thanos would be bad.

@KnowledgeKing Who's more popular in Asgard, Loki or Thor?

Is anyone open to making use of Lorelei and Amora for a potential assassination plan?

In canon Thanos showed a vulnerability to mind control, and we've all seen how dangerous the sister can be with their magic.

Maybe we can call Thanos to a meeting or summit of our choice and ambushing him with their help?

Ya and we don't know if Thor killed civilians that's just you jumping to conclusions.
Thor outright suggested genocide against Titan and in canon was also willing to commit genocide against a people before his character development. I can totally see him being pretty indiscriminate in his attack.
We shouldn't give power to a genocidal, civilian killing oaf.
Agreed, Thor is just completely irresponsible, bullheaded and can be pretty uncompromising and dead set on doing this his own way. Does not help that Thor repeatedly goes against the current King of Asgards wishes and even disrespects Loki. Empowering Thor further just seems like a horrible idea.
