"Lo, there do I see my father.
Lo, there do I see my mother,
My sisters and my brothers.
Lo, there do I see the line of my people,
Back to the beginning.
Lo, they do call to me,
They bid me take my place among them
In the Halls of Valhalla,
Where the brave shall live forever,
Where thine enemies have been vanquished,
Nor shall we mourn but rejoice,
For those who have died
The glorious death."
~ Mark J. Halliday
So... this is the clean version of it.
[X] Plan: Loki the Regent V2
-[x] Start working on rebuilding Asgard. (Delegation is the key to success.)
-[x] Put the Sceptre in the Vault..... (not next to Tesseract.) (1)
-[x] Ask the sorcerers, or Amora/Lorelei to scry Thor and his entourage's location.
--[x] Once the area is found, retrieve them through Bifrost Bridge.
-[x] While Thor is being located, prepare a mass funeral ceremony to bid all the fallen a proper journey to Valhalla.
--[x] Say the Viking Death Prayer at the funeral. (5)
-[x] Send a missive to Nidavellir, requesting repairs on the Destroyer.
-[x] Heal Odin and Frigga.
--[x] How? I've given two ideas, The Tablet of Time and Life, and the Omake. Research in Odin's Library and see what the treasures in his Vaults do while trying to find a way to heal Odin and Frigga.
-[x] Give out monetary compensation to those who lost their family fighting for Asgard, and those who are injured.
--[x] Waive the hospital bill?
"Fine then." Thanos chooses to...jump. Off of the Bifrost. He truly is...was insane.
Loki stops looking through the Destroyer's eyes and looks back at the room. Eir has done good work and his parents both look...a lot better. The bleeding has stopped and both of them have begun breathing. The wounds have closed, and Eir...she appears to be exhausted. Loki glances for a second at the ground, where he left both Heimdall's sword and the scepter he took from the mercenary and he sees...the mercenary grabbing the sword, with no scepter in sight.
Loki is quick, but not quick enough, as the mercenary quickly stands with the sword in hand, dodging a blast from Gungnir as he does. The mercenary tries to run, but Loki doesn't let him, forcing combat as he attacks swiftly.
Loki: 497
Merc: 240.75
The Merc dodges a hit from Loki and continues to run, only to be felled by a blast from Gungnir. From there, Loki goes to work and his him over and over again with the powerful spear, putting hole after hole in the merc's body, and slashing off his head once again. Breathing hard, Loki relents the attack to assess the damage. Somehow this thing got up after it's head was knocked off, but as it was...there was no way it could still function, right? Right? Loki gets his answer a second later when something flies out of the merc's body and towards the door of Odin's chambers, trying to escape with Heimdall's sword.
Loki acts quickly however, and blasts the thing out of the air, securing the sword. He then senses something else as a pulse of energy comes from the merc's body. Was he...trying to self-destruct? Not giving him the chance, Loki fires another blast from Gungnir, incinerating the remains of his body. As he does, something else catches his eye, via the Destroyer's head. It is Thanos, flying away out of Asgard, in...a strange ship that had...spinning blades on top of it. It was loud, noisy, and not as fast as a spaceship, so Loki wasn't sure the utility of it, but the sheer surprise allowed it and him to get away and fly off into the horizon.
Loki sits down, exhausted from the events, more mentally than physically, as he begins to plan what to do next.
Loki knows as...acting King, the first thing he should do is name a new guardian. But Loki also knew that no one had the power Heimdall had, to look upon the cosmos and see what he could see, so the gesture would be...
Loki lets the thought linger. While indeed, a new guardian would be premature, they did need someone in the meantime to stand guard. Before that, they needed to ather all of their warriors. And that means Thor, the Warrior's Three, and Lady Sif.
Finding them is easy enough with Amora's many talents, and it's within the hour that the five great warriors are brought back to Asgard to witness the carnage. Thor is the first to react, at first to Loki, but then to the missing parts of the Observatory.
"Loki! What is the--" He trails off as he sees the destruction to the Observatory and then far off to the palace. "What has happened? Who did this?"
"Thanos. Of Titan." Loki says wearily, not willing to explain the full story just now.
"And where is Heimdall?"
"He has fallen." Loki says with a saddened expression. Thor's face is unreadable, Sif gasps, and the Warrior's Three are visibly shocked at the news.
"What? Impossible? No one could possibly--"
"Who was it again, that did this?" Questions Sif, cutting off Fandral. Loki sighs.
"Thanos. King of Titan."
"Then we must crush Titan and show them the might of Asgard!" Thor bellows, as his friends agree.
"No!" Loki shouts, taking everyone off-guard. "We need to rebuild first. Retalitation against an entire planet for one man's action is..." He swallows and steels himself. "It's not what Father would've wanted." Thor's eyes widen at that.
"Would've...what happened to Father?" Tired of the questions, Loki sits Thor down and explains to him the situation.
"Is it not your fault then? For allowing this...Thanos to make a mockery of Asgard For not retrieving us sooner? For letting---" Thor gets close up into Loki's face, rage apparent in his expression. The unsaid words linger in the air. 'For letting Mother and Father get hurt' for letting them almost die. Yes, that was Loki's fault he supposes, for not being a seer and for not knowing the future. Thor pushes past Loki.
"I will not listen to the words of a weak king. I will handle this myself and avenge Asgard!" He spits out with vitriol. As the Warrior's Three and Sif try to follow him, he holds up a hand. "I said I will handle this myself and I mean it." He turns to leave, and...well Loki really really doesn't want to do this, but Thor is the first born and thus has the right...
"Thor, the crown." Loki reminds him, hating himself for doing so. Thor would surely lead them to ruin in such a time and...
"Keep it." He says without looking back. "The crown will not kill Thanos." He then swings Mjolnir and throws, flying back to the city. Loki sighs, both in relief and at Thor's behavior. With a sardonic smile, he turns to the Warrior's Three and to Sif.
"I don't suppose any of you wish to lead?"
Putting Thor behind him, Loki has other things to deal with. The funerals and proper sendoffs for the fallen soldiers is one, and the rebuild of Asgard is another. Not to mention sending the Destroyer off to Nidavellir so they can hopefully repair the damn thing. The day is long already, but Loki knows that these three things must be done before the sun sets. The soldiers, the people needed a morale boost, and Asgard had to move forward from this tragedy. Perhaps after that, he could get to healing...
With everything taken care, the payment for treatment of the soldiers, the waiving of the hospital bills, Loki can now sit down in the All-Father's library and research a way to fix this. To fix them. His Mother did not deserve to have her very being, her very soul ripped from her like it had been, and Father...deserved his arm and his eye back. At the very least.
Unfortunately, Loki is not able to find much, if anything in library about healing. Only old, ancient knowledge which would likely be very helpful in any other situation. But seeing as how he was looking for healing...that didn't help much at the time.
Loki sighs as he heads to bed. He has a world to run now. He needed his sleep.
Loki has a few decisions.

It's technically the first roll. Decides which weapon he took without Loki noticing. Technically he won the Intrigue roll. But I decided to have mercy and allow Loki to see him take one of the weapons.
