-[z] Study: So you could be a great tactician instead? A general even.
-- [z] War, DC 70
Roll: 65
A failure.
It seems War is not Loki's thing. He tries again to study, and again he gets nowhere with it. After barely scraping by last time, coupled with his other failures...it seems that he's just not good at war. At least not for now he isn't.
-- [z] Tactics, DC 75
--- [z] With Thor (Primary)
Roll: 394
An outstanding success!
Studying with Thor of all people seems like something that is destined to fail, and fail hard. But as it turns out, his great aptitude towards all things fighting, actually helps him in this instance, and thus helps Loki as well. Together they bounce ideas off of each other, back and forth, and are able to learn a decent amount of tactical prowess. Though Loki may be bad at war, having strategic ability and great tactics definitely help to balance him the other way. And he had...Thor to thank for it.

-[z] Get to know your new employee, Amora. DC 10
Roll: 75
A divine success!
Amora is very...friendly and amicable towards Loki, even when she finds out he is the prince (and thus part of the family that cast her out). Once she and Loki get past that, it's an instant mix, like fire and gasoline, as the two have a lot in common. From their reading interests, to magic in general, and with both sharing Enchantment magic, the similarities are numerous.
The two aren't friends just yet, but they're well on their way.
-[z] Spread your name as God of Coin in Midgard DC 55
-- [z] With Sigyn (Secondary)
Roll: 587
A Godly success!
Thor taking Loki's name (no matter how unwittingly) as God of Coin and claiming Loki's success, just does not do. As such, Loki embarks on a journey, alongside his lovely girlfriend Sigyn, to rectify this wrong. And...perhaps he was too overzealous.
With Sigyn's help, Loki visits the mortals and flaunts his great wealth, spreading his name as God of Coin. And it catches like fire. From city to city, country to country, and so on, it is soon known that Loki is the God of Coin. Naturally, they latch him and his name onto Phoenix Financial and thus he gets a bit of a following. And by bit, he means...a fair amount...of the entire planet's population.
It turns out that controlling money makes one very popular. But as Loki understands it, there are...religions in Midgard that worship other gods. He only hopes he didn't ruffle any of their feathers.
+1 Diplomacy Loki
Loki and Sigyn Gain the trait, Love and DIplomacy: +5 on Joint Diplomacy rolls.
-[z] Convince Sigyn that she needs to learn how to defend herself/fight. DC 5
Roll: 30
A divine success!
Sigyn is very, very against fighting and violence. As such she doesn't...she doesn't really see the value in it, or learning how to do it. Luckily, Loki has her ear and can advise her otherwise. It takes a lot of talks and walk arounds and circular logic, but eventually she relents and vows to look into some...magical form of combat. She isn't one for physical combat, but she does promise to try at least.
It's better than nothing. Maybe one day she'd be safe.
-[z] Recruit even more Magicians/Sorcerers. DC 65
-- [z] With Sigyn (Primary)
Roll: 92
A good success!
With Sigyn by his side, Loki is able to find even more magical help for Phoenix Financial. It's not too much, but he does find some new blood, as well as a repeat name, in Amora's sister: Lorelei.
Pick One.

-[z] Build a new Phoenix Financial branch.
-- [z] Nidavellir. DC 65
--- [z]Asstiant: Elym
Roll: 18+10+35=63
Bare failure.
Unfortunately, while Loki did a lot of the preparation, sending Elym in his stead to start the new branch was a bit of an insult to the Dwarves. They didn't hold it against him, it seems, but they did reject the new Phoenix Financial Branch all the same. With all the success he's had, it's somewhat humbling to Loki to realize that he can still fail.
-- [z] Alfheim. DC 40
Roll: 56
A good success!
Luckily Alfheim did not have the same issues. As such, a new branch has opened there, with full capabilities, and will be functional by the next quarter. And it's really needed too, as Phoenix Financial absolutely needs more locations to handle the workload.
-- [z] Midgard. DC 10
Roll: 61
Divine Success!
Maybe it's due to the new worship that he had amassed on Midgard, or just the idea of gods opening up a bank, or the fact that oddly enough, Midgard had no type of banking. Whatever the reason, the Midgard branch of Phoenix Financial opens easily, and everyone on the planet seems to love it. Due to how Midgard is structured, it's actually benefical as multiple Midgard buildings are built on their different 'countries' and 'continents', so they all can benefit.
Hopefully it didn't bring any unwanted 'visitors' as Midgard still had no advanced to the level of basic space travel.
-- [z] On Titan. DC 45
--- [z] Assitants: 6 Generic Assitants
Roll: 360
A god-like success!
Failing at the Titan branch last time hurt Loki and his view for his business's growth. Titan was a decently advanced planet with an advanced race of people, in a galaxy unconquered by Asgard. It made sense to build a new branch there, so Loki is ecstatic when it finally comes to fruition.
While the former leadership didn't seem too thrilled with his attempt, the new leader, Thanos, seemed to welcome him with open arms. And once Thanos welcomed him, so did the entirety of Titan.
As such, the branch was built rather easily and quickly, to the point that the end result was almost as good as the main branch in Asgard. With the newfound resources of Titan, their branch is far more capable than the others in every way, and can get things done much quicker, and even uses high level electronics and machines. On top of all of that, Thanos, the new ruler or King, seems to approve as he immediately takes out the largest loan anyone ever has (individually) from Phoenix Financial, while also depositing the largest amount of money.
Success doesn't begin to describe it.
-[z] Vanaheim branch extra action
--[z] Improve Security at Phoenix Financial. DC 60
-- [z] With Osmond (Primary)
Roll: 6+5=11
A terrible failure.
Loki tasks his newest branch with improving security even further, given the broad expansion of the Phoenix Financial empire. He then gives them aid in the form of Osmond, the brightest mind he knows. The combination of the two, magic and science, should yield great results that wow everybody in the galaxy, if not the universe in its versatility and efficiency. It does not.
It appears that Osmond's lack of respect for magic only hinders the Vanir from improving anything, as he strongly suggests and all but forces them to abandon it in their attempts. As a result, nothing gets done, and with Osmond's attempts to leave magic out of it, and to outright banish magic, the defenses are lucky to not have gotten worse.
+20 DC if Osmond is assigned to this or any other magical realm (with the security action) next turn.
-[z] Discern the different technologies used by these other planets outside of the Nine Realms. DC ???
Roll: 99
Loki isn't the greatest at looking at new technology and figuring out what it does, but he manages due to his high intellect and observation skills. With these skills, Loki observes a lot, from high level electronics, to high level computing, the different types of space ships, stealth technology, balistics and lasers, memory alteration, and so on. Asgard is undoubtedly the number 1 kingdom and planet in the universe but...it seems to lack a lot as far as certain technologies go. It's likely because of magic, and certain game breaking technology such as the Bifrost, but it still didn't sit right with Loki. Besides, he is not Asgard, he's Phoenix Financial. And that, in some ways, is bigger than Asgard.
-[z] Maybe more than guards, a being of your wealth needed...insurance. (Establish Assassins/Hitmen). DC ???
Roll: 41
Finding assassins is...not easy. Finding trustworthy assassins that one feels comfortable approaching and hiring is even harder. As such, Loki refrains from doing so, as his results were less than stellar. It looks like...this project would not be completed for now. Maybe next time...
-[z] Learn about electronics so you can help your clients. DC 40 (Assistant: Osmond and Assistant: Elym can take this action).
-- [z] Assistant: Osmond
Roll: 97+20=117+5+20=142
A tremendous success!
Loki has to hand it to him, Osmond is very very smart. Far more than Loki is, if he's being honest. So when they combine their intellects to learn about electronics, to help Loki's Phoenix Financial clients, and they succeed hard enough to have high level supercomputers, programming, AI, cyber security, and so on..Loki has to attribute it to Osmond rather than himself. Either way, it's an amazing thing to witness and to be a part of. Maybe Phoenix Financial can branch off into Phoenix Electronics and dominate Asgard with technological advancements...
A thought for another time.
-[z] Figure out what kind of magic Amora was working with. DC ???
Roll: 43.5
Loki has his people sit down with Amora and try to analyze what exactly she can do. The first thing they 'discover' is obvious, she's good with Enchantments. Everything else is a bit of a mystery. She appears to have some talent with Binding and Sealing, and she claims she can teleport with enough concentration, but Loki knows there's more. He just...doesn't know what the more is. But he does know she is very powerful. Moreso than he is.
-[z] Enchant Something: Company badges that block all mental or sense interference.
-- [z] Magic: Amora
Roll: 80+?, CRIT, 19+? Total = ?
As Loki suspects, Amora's expertise in Enchantment serves him well. When he has her enchant something that he failed at earlier (and dreadfully if he recalls), and she easily does it, and excels at it, well...it only proves her superiority. While Loki can't even enchant one small ring to block mental interference, or anything interfering with the senses, Amora can enchant the entire supply of Phoenix Financial badges.
With her enchantment, each member of the company had strong defenses against trickery and mind powers, and it would be virtually impossible to infiltrate via such means.
She really was amazing at magic. Loki almost wonders about her teacher...
+40 to Mind defense rolls for anyone with a badge.
-[z] Ask a character to be a mentor/advisor: Osmond
Roll: 46
Osmond is more than glad to accept being a sort of mentor or advisor to Loki. Not only because it gives him some claims of superiority, but also because Loki allowed him to indulge himself earlier, in the electronics study. Learning new things and producing new science would also be something Osmond could and would enjoy. And Loki had given him that.
-[z] Relationships: Spend time with some of your favorite people in the world!
-- [z] Sigyn
Roll: 84
Loki's not really sure that he and Sigyn can get any closer but...spending time with her is nice. Right now they feel like true soul mates, and time spent with her is time where happiness is guaranteed.
-- [z] Hábrók
Roll: 99
Loki hasn't spent too much time on his pet Roc, but seeing him was always nice. And he seemed to return the sentiment. Though Loki tended to be busy, when he had time, he'd go out and play with the large bird, talking to it, riding it, and taking walks with it, to wherever it wishes to go, as long as they could be back before dinner. Hábrók understood as much. Dinner was important, always, even to the one who provides the food. Even to Loki.
And so with that agreement, the two have their fun and Hábrók loves every moment of it. Deep down, so does Loki.
-- [z] Amora
Roll: 14
Having spent so much time with her before, Loki finds himself not being able to clear any part of his schedule to see Amora on his off time. She doesn't seem bothered by it, though the knowledge that he's the prince does seem to get her at times. He can see her the way she stares at him, as if contemplating something, and the way she frowns in Thor's direction whenever he so much as comes by. The frown gets softer the more Thor talks to her, despite her listening only for appearance sakes, but she still clearly doesn't like him much. And that extends partially to Loki, though their partial friendship and similarities seem to overcome it.
-[z] Try to further master your magic you discovered. DC 55
Roll: 32
Loki has no luck on trying to discover a way to further his magic internally. He's far too along in the chaos of the times, with his company expanding, new sorceresses showing up, and learning electronics, to clear his head enough to get some quality magic refinement done.
-[z] Accept.
Roll: 9+ ??? Bonus from Titan Branch Roll?
"I have to admit, Loki of Asgard, that you are a man I've wanted to meet for a long time." The purple-skinned, large being that is Thanos, began. "Because of you, I was able to save my people and my planet from certain destruction. I will admit, at first I was...overly ambitious and morbid, with a plan to wipe out half of all life, randomly, indiscriminately, fairly, so that the remaining Titans could live in peace and abundance. But that...was foolish. And you showed me that." He says, looking Loki in his eyes with sincerity. "When I saw Phoenix Financial--and yes I have figured out that you are the head--I saw a better way, a better path to save Titan. When I enacted my plan, and they praised me as a hero, and made me King, I only had you to thank. You are an inspiration to me Loki, one I looked to, and still do look to, for guidance." He grimaces for a moment.
"So imagine my surprise when I arrive on Asgard and see...see how ungrateful people are of your genius Loki. The lack of respect for you, your less-than-stellar reputation it is...a disappointment. In you, for not showing them the way and proving yourself above them publicly, and in them for not knowing the truth. But I digress. I come here as a friend, an ally, and a customer, who wishes to speak with you as an equal." Thanos finishes. Loki nods, a lot to think about given Thanos' words. He did have a reputation problem but...how did Thanos know this? Was he that good at reading the Asgardian people? Amazing.
"I thank you for your kind words, Thanos of Titan. I appreciate the high regard you seem to hold me in, and know that I too view you in a positive light, from what I've heard about how you've saved your planet." Loki replies. He was being truthful, as he heard only good things about Thanos of Titan so far, and had no reason for negative feelings.
"Thank you Loki, that means the galaxy to me." Thanos stops to look around for a moment, and then leans in. "I must ask, I have heard good things about your father, the King. And as King myself, I was hoping to get the chance to meet him. However...I don't see a sign of him anywhere. Would you happen to know where he is? Or arrange a meeting?" He questioned, sincerely.
What does Loki say?
[] He can set up the meeting...later, the All-Father is unfortunately busy with other things and is not expecting a diplomatic visit
[] He doesn't have the ability to set up a meeting. He's a prince yes, but his influence only goes so far
[] Odin is...unavailable at the moment
[] Write-In
-[z] Agree to meet.
Roll: 32
Amora is definitely put off by the fact that Loki, the prince, kin to Thor, is her boss. Well not put off, but...it comes as a surprise, and not a super happy one. She does get over it however, and let him know how happy she is that the new 'friend' she made is also the man she works for. Gone are her worries of what kind of man may be behind Phoenix Financial, because she knew. It was a good man. Loki.
Loki can't help but to blush at such compliments, but he manages to keep his composure. As beautiful as she is, she's only an employee and possible friend. And he had Sigyn already, who is the love of his life.
-[z] Sure.
Roll: 98
The meeting with Amora's sister, Lorelei goes...very well. Lorelei is a bright girl with a lot of ambition and she proves herself to be perfect for Phoenix Financial. Like her sister, she is strong magically though not as strong, and she's more of a forward thinker. Having her as an assistant or a magic user would be a great boon to Phoenix Financial, and she appears to be happy with knowing who the head of it is.
Also, like her sister, Lorelei is beautiful, but she doesn't appear to try to use it in any fashion to get ahead. Instead she uses her mind and her words, and Loki knows she can help him out greatly. And Amora does vouch for her intelligence, magical abilities, and ambition.
