Life With the Ship Girls, or, How I Learned How to Stop Worrying and Love the Polygamy

Indeed. This Kongou is pretty much from the same 'verse as "Biggest Clusterfuck". Except that never really happened and she and Alternate!Me had twin DDGs. And were planning on a third before things went to shit. I might write up a… slight prequel in regards to that.

The cold winds of the northern seas would've chilled the men right to the bone if they were real. Of course, digital representations of people can't truly feel anything, but still...damn it looked cold. The water split as the mighty warship charged forward, it's bow whipping up waves as it made it's way onward to it's target. The three turrets housing dual 15in gun mounts rotated as they searched for targets to light up, the torpedo tubes on both sides of the ship mimicking them. The secondary and AA batteries lie still, however, as there were no panes or ships close enough for them to vent their anger at. The ship was painted in grey/black camouflage and looked quite nice in the dusk lighting of the map, almost making it seem like a ghost...a reaper, if you will.

Well.

There's a reason that my fellow players called me "The Scythe of the Seas", after all.

This vessel, a recreation of the German Battleship Tirpitz that I had renamed KMS Walther Wenck, was truly something to be feared, especially if played in my hands. I had spent quite the amount of time mastering this ship and it's multiple functions, and had earned a reputation throughout WoWs as a reaper of all ships. Even the mightiest of vessels, the Yamato-class Battleship, had fallen prey to my guns before, along with countless others who had stood in my way.

[20:35] Fog_Cruiser_Sendai[FOG] (Zao): You do realize that there's a Montana up there..right?
[20:36] Anchorage_Port [12TH] (Tirpitz): Why do you think I'm going there?

---
Decided to use my actual WoWs name.

So here's Tirpitz's profile.

Elizabeth "Northernqueen" von Tirpitz
Age : 22 (Physically)
Height : 170 cm (5 ft 7 in)
Theme Song (Ambient) : The Lonely Queen of the North
Theme Song (Battle) : Furor Teutonicus
Appearance : A rare moment where she's a stoic, German beauty instead of being engrossed in a video game or a manga she imported from Japan.
BASICALLY : A massive gamer-girl and a bit of a shut-in. Despite appearing to be quite stoic and having a reputation of being an anti-socialite, she's actually quite personable and easy to make friends with. It's more that she keeps to herself than being anti-social, really. Online, she's a massively popular World of Warships and World of Tanks streamer, who also plays War Thunder Naval Forces as well. (Her personal opinion on the matter of which game is better is 'See for yourself, but both games have merits and shortcomings.') She's also quite the tabletop gamer, possessing a massive Tau army.

Other than playing playing the aforementioned games, she also plays Company of Heroes 2 and other RTS games with Alphonse. She mainly plays Oberkommando West, emphasizing speed and offensive ability compared to Alphonse's preference of the adaptable British forces.

She's quite clumsy and stutters when she's talking to others, which just makes her cuter in the eyes of many. She also wears glasses, which may or may not be influenced by Alphonse stating that 'glasses would make you look cooler.'

Currently unmarried, and doesn't quite seem to be looking for someone special just yet.

And I suspect he always will. The man clearly knows the tactical value of a good cuppa joe. :D

I like it!

BASICALLY: Shipgirl Pseudonyms and You
Because all shipgirls have pseudonyms so that they don't get hounded 24/7 by the media / stalkers / cultists.
more to come

BASICALLY: SHIPGIRL PSEUDONYMS AND YOU
The shipgirls in service with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and United Nations Fleet all hold military (naval) ranks, and have ranks that would be suitable for the commanding officers of their ship class. I.e: Destroyers and Light Cruisers have the rank of Commander, Aircraft Carriers, Heavy Cruisers, and Battleships have the rank of Captain.

American -- United States of FREEDOM America (First Name, sometimes Middle Name, Last Name)
Their first name is typically related to their home state, whereas their last name is usually (but not always) related to their sponsor or their commanding officer. This can be changed to the shipgirl's own preference, though they usually keep it the way it is.
E.g: Dakota Leigh Gatch (First Name related to their home state, Middle and Last Name from her first commanding officer, Thomas Leigh Gatch)

Canadian -- The Dominion of Canada (First Name, Middle Name, Last Name)
Their first and last names are randomly selected to fit them (or are specifically requested by the shipgirls themselves), but their middle name symbolizes their ship name.
E.g: Charlotte Algonquin Marielle (First and last names randomized, middle name related to her ship name -- HMCS Algonquin)

British -- The United Kingdom (First Name, Last Name)
Their first name, like their Canadian counterparts (and it was the Canadians that inspired the British with their system) is randomly selected or requested by the individual shipgirl, whereas their last name is their ship name.
E.g: Heather Hood (Randomly selected first name, last name related to her ship name -- HMS Hood)

Germany -- The Federal Republic of Germany (First Name, Last Name (if married), of Ship Name)
Their system is more complicated. Their first names are taken from a list separated into ship classes. I.e: Battleships get names based on feminized Norse names or common German names, Cruisers get common German names, and Destroyers get a feminized version of their ship name. Their last name is not assigned to them until they're married or taken into a family, and their ship name is placed at the end of their name with the suffix 'von' meaning of in German.
E.g: Erika Schmitt von Bismarck (Nordic first name, also is a common feminine German name, last name from her husband, and the 'von Bismarck' from her status as the personification of the battleship Bismarck)

For a country about freedom our northern neighbors give their ship girls more freedom in terms of names. Also. Guten Abend.

Kinda reminds me of something... Hm... Tali'Zorah vas Normandy. Is an a gamer risen through enough ranks in Germany when this decision was made?

It's 2020. It's entirely possible.

Well, like every other country, it can be overridden by the shipgirl's own request.
