Moon neither felt like getting hurt or torturing someone by taking hours to heal her :p
Spring could actually heal her in a minute or two...

But she's in the America, right?

Can someone please remind me how far can that hovercraft move?

Even if it won't go that far it's really fast so we can cut on travel time.

So, anyone else want to have Eva and Rico introduce themselves to our old friends while pretending to be us (while Pris stays hidden)?

We can cast spells again. Is there anything that could happen in Verona that can't straight up just be ignored via Mistress of the Tide + Soothing Moonlight? Especially since daytime means Sun can cast multiple times per turn.
Yes, there is. The lesson of that Chinese Hunter guy still stands. Lockdown everyone then kill.

I don't really have any major ideas on what to do, but I have an idea on XP spending.

[X] EXP Plan Upgrade
-[X] Purchase Event Horizon (1000)
-[X] Purchase Overtake Greater (500)
-[X] Purchase Reflected Godlight (750)
-[X] Purchase Neverending Moonlight (450)
Total XP Spent: 2700
Total XP Remaining: 1064

This plan gets us an Omnicaster that presumably starts at level 3 and works at night, reduces the effectiveness of Skilled and Dodge Abilities when used against us, and nets us two shinies while leaving a nice amount of XP in the bank in case we need to make a purchase in the next few updates.

Actually, that still has massive problems. Leaving aside the possibility that Moon's Otherworldly Radiance removes it (depends on what they actually use. It wouldn't stop most Lockdown effects, but it should stop stuns or paralysis), they still have to deal 22 thousand damage to even scratch Moon. Sun is even worse once she gets a high MM roll. They should get massive situational bonuses from the immobility, but that's still difficult.

And then they have to deal over a million damage.

It's possible, especially if they target people besides the twins, but it will still take a very long time, especially if we get any time to buy things. At some point they would probably just give up.

If we bring Brave Heart along, it's actually impossible to CC us all.

I don't really agree with Overtake greater, myself. It seems more like something to buy if they are fighting someone and need it against that person. Also, it presumably only affects Sun's attacks and Moon's are the more important ones, both because we've leveled them more and because she has intercept.

I'm quite happy with the rest. I would also be fine with saving it, of course.

I also want to incorporate Julia, but then I need to either drop something or be out of EXP, which seems really risky to me. Who's interested in doing so?

Narratively I don't think it really makes sense to do so right now. It would mainly be a way to try to force Julia out of her shell, which doesn't really seem thematically appropriate.

This does however seem like a good time to get Advanced Life Sense for Ana though, which costs a total of 750 EXP if you include its prereqs. That should make ambushing us nearly impossible.

We should land outside of Verona anyway and most likely ride on Ana´s Caterpillar-form. If most we should try to Avoid beeing spotted directly. At most there will be a few soldiers who cant do something against us. I am more worried how much the twins will get scolded after they return. :V

But we didnt have decided which girls we take with us.

Inside isn't an option until Ana trains to not hurt things that are in her mouth.
You know, there is a reason I am keeping it ambiguous what Ana does in her spare time. She is not going to suddenly swallow someone she is carrying if you decide to go for that.

They are not giving you the hovercraft so you can leave it behind somewhere around the halfway point.

Agreed there.

Baleful Eclipse
Level 13 -----> 14 -----> 15
Base Damage: 81,281 -----> 134,113 -----> 221,286
Magic Modifier: N/A
Affinity: Sun | Moon | Balance
Ability: Unstoppable | Smite | Non-Lethal | (Synchronize Only)
Unstoppable oooo.
Become the light that pierces everything!

Scorching Sunlight
Level 14 -----> 15
Base Damage: 327,680 -----> 655,360
Magic Modifier: 335 -----> 360
Affinity: Sun | Balance
Ability: Melt | Armor Removal | Ordnance
Can turn the Melt-effect into Unstoppable (False)
Melt huh? That inflicts damage over time, and anyone who's still human is going to be taking nasty ass body damage modifiers.

We probably want to retrain to control this before we vaporize a friendly.
Level 13 -----> 14 -----> 15
Base Damage: 40,939 -----> 73,690 -----> 132,642
Magic Modifier: 435 -----> 470 -----> 505
Affinity: Moon | Balance
Ability: Heal | Status Recovery | Target by Level
Can unify up to 1 threads to heal the same target
And we're going to need to retrain with this as well since we're losing out. Not as critical though.

Julia nods in thanks before turning to you with a determined expression. "Okay, please use your strongest spells on me."

"..."

You just stare at her, starting to understand what she has in mind. Just... "Um... I didn't get to mention that yet, but I did some things that block my spellcasting for a while. I can't use any spells, so... uh..." "how about you try hitting me instead?," you offer in the end. It is the best you can do and she thankfully moves into an attacking position. The baffled look on her face is a little funny though, you have to admit that.

"Alright, here I go."

Summer stands there with a smug smirk, though it quickly vanishes when you casually flick the sword aside with your scepter.

(Blade of Judgement: +495 Base Damage, Magical Girl Slayer suppressed, +54 dice, +100 Hostile Story Effect Out of Balance = 549 Total Damage

950,679 Total End Damage
Heroes Never Die: Damage Negated

No Damage
Absorbing Aegis total: 950,679)

Even Julia is shocked when your swing sends her flying, the force of your blow shattering the concrete below; she is sent up to the city border's transparent screen, where she bounces back and lands on her feet right next to Summer... who is openly gaping at you.

"That's the best I can do for now, sorry," you note with an apologeptic look while inwardly snickering at the alienation over what just happened.
Sorry-not-sorry~

Friendship.

That aside, I find it rather amusing how near everyone jumps at EXP-votes, but no one has yet seemed to consider that some particular ways of spending are more useful if you want to take anyone beside Sun and Moon along for the trip.
Though, which targets are legitimate for this field trip?
Also I'm feeling dense and/or sleepy because I can't quite get the spending referred to...

Obvious thing on that front is that leveling up Prepare The Feast so that Ana flies faster in her transformed state makes us able to get there and back quicker.

I am flexible in that regard, though you should have a reasoning for why Pris would want to show a particular character her hometown.

Things I am going to veto are stuff like "Take Flower and ride in on Godzilla".

I dont think they want to annihilate their old friends and their hometown.
Wait... that is not how you announce your return after a few months of absence? :o

Wait... that is not how you announce your return after a few months of absence? :o

Only if you are a villian or has the name "Naron".

But back to taking with us:
Twins, Ana, Ludger and Eva and Rico are a given.
Maybe Julia would make sense.

The Yggdrasil-girls would be an option too, but that itself is a risky move and can work against our relationship with them (mostly Igni). Flower without her pets maybe too, but that has no real reason to take them with us.
The other Seasons are an option too, but why taking them with us? If they would allow us that anyway. (As long as it isnt a free day, we will skip school, therefore ...)

Then the last Option would be Soul Queller or Judge. hmmmmmmm :thonk:

They could work, although we really haven't interacted much with Judge since the beginning of the story.

Maybe White Glory since this doesn't involve combat? Give her a chance to see more of the world.

We could invite Gaia.

White Glory could be a bit tricky because she wants her peace.
Gaia is a great idea. :V

And that trip with Judge has a good reason. We want to do something with her, because we didnt had the time until now and with this trip we have a bit more time with her.

464/3764 XP left

When you think about it theres not THAT many people we'd like to take home with us.
Theres also a few who might be too much heat to bring, or too obviously spoopy for the normals.

XP wise, I think going home would be a good time to bring Julia into the connection. Its a new place, people she's not guilty towards, and its less shove her into socializing and more gently boinking her with warmpokes.

Buying Ana her Advanced Life Sense in the meantime since we're flying a long distance and her radar would be very valuable for not being surprised by events.
Since we aren't rushing into battle I think Event Horizon isn't super urgent.
