Lex Mechanica

What things would go wrong?

For example underqualified people being given responsilibities they aren't capable of dealing with for example, or people with malcious intentions given opportiunity to gain more power easier.

Maybe someone starts fucking around with warp drive and it will end up costing us a chunk of the moon.

Either way innocent people will die, because you rushed things.

Also your vote is very vague, it might as well backfire because it just removes some obscure restrictions that almost no one knew about anyway.

You could spend slots on establishing better schooling system, rise standards of living, ensure better worker safety, etc. You could atleast explain why those restrcitions needs to be removed and which one. But instead, you're trying to change the restrcitions without direction and reason.

You want to have more freedom ? Then work on removing those restrictions piece by piece and give logical reason for each of them to be removed.

A healthy diversity of opinion inside the ranks is a likely and positive consequence of opening them up yes!

Some opinions are garbage and should stay there and if you're ask I give you examples of them.

Also, if you want more opinions, maybe you should start working establishing new ideology?

[X] Plan: Sect of Holy Lighting Inspiration
-[X] Party Name: Sect of Holy Lighting Inspiration
-[X] Party Represents: Chaff and Logi
-[X] Coalition: Yes: Illuminated Mechanicus, Society of the Living Alloy, United, Holy Machine Faction, Humanists, Luminen of the Forsaken Calculus -[X] No: Seekers of the Omnissiah
-[X] 1: Start working on catalogs that will cover basic rituals all should know.
-[X] 2: Begin the construction of agri-complexes on the forest moon.
-[X] 3: Start new extractive industries like mining on the planet with safety in mine for the workers
-[X] 4: Mandate the construction of cloning facilities to increase servitor production.
-[X] 5: Set up lights all across the Forge World to show the might of the Motion Force.
-[X] Outreach: Working on getting proper communication systems set up on the Forge World so information may travel fast.
-[X] Ideology: Humanity has lost much, we must show what they have lost. The connection to the Motive Force must be restored.
Does this work Magus Explorator?

The inquisition has no authority over us Mars is busy and has bigger things to worry about then an expansion of the ranks and Tech Heresy is cool and good actually
There is literally an ordo of the inquisition dedicated to investigating the Mechanicus and yes they do have authority over us. As for Mars while an individual tech priest doing things is likely to be ignored unless they do something really bad when said habits become planetary policy then the boot comes down.

Not saying don't do tech heresy but at least keep it secret.

If you so it openly, other factions have active reasons to get in your way. Due to the fact, well. It is something that will throw the world into lower c chaos and make the very followers of faith upset.

More seriously, my long term goal here is to get the whole population doing innovation and actual science so we can figure shit out

I have nothing against it, but I think you're going for it too fast and too loose.

You could go for it slower and more methodically, like for example giving higher ranking Tech-Priests less restrictions, they should have experience or/and knowledge to not cause us too much problem.

Rising education would also give us more Tech-Priests, making potential research easier, especially if you apply some of your ideologies into school curriculum.

Slow and steady, no need to jump down the cliff when the stairs are available.

So what ideologies are you guys trying to attract off the bat? Currently my plan is to attract the Organicists and hopefully some of the other fleshy Mechanicus ideologies later on.

[X] Plan: Together we are strong!

May try to come up with a plan for myself later but for now this is closest to what I want

Also a quick warning-ish to people, because you are currently in "low imperium" techlevel most of the tech you will pump out now is of low or very low quality, usable but nothing you would show to your fellow priest of Mars.

To raise it you either wait till the Pandora device give you something better ( and if you have the production), develop your "tech priest infrastructure" ( forge complexes, workshops, genelabs etc etc) or change the production method to something better .

A example would be the servitor, currently you import prisoners to be transformed, medium with potential to high quality, but you are bottlenecked in production. ( the quality can be high but only later if you decide to import directly from penal worlds but you would still have the bottleneck)

Vat grown right now is very low, you can raise it you can improve the facilities or put the Genetors in the eternal grind of improving the genetics of the clones, will take a while to improve the genes and slowly raise, but that also open other potentials for vat growing stuff for example

Does the genetorium and garden complex (replaced the import species action with this) count as genelabs? Also for the garden complex will it be more artistically done or do I have to specify that?
Yes, but one "unlock" so to speak the potential to use it on people and the other for plants and animals, of course as population grows it will need expanding (and who knows you guys might decide to use some of that for luxury goods for the pops)

You need to specify that in the order or it will be "mechanical style", but if you keep doing things similar you might create eventually (+outreach and things like that) a solarpunk mech population.

Won't be fast however, but the opinions of the people can change.

Good to know and I do have future plans to increase the influence of more organically focused Tech Priests.

Also added the aesthetic choice to the plan.

Depending on the coalition members' strength both the party orders will pass rounding up for the winner ( Ie party one has 30% of the vote and party two has 20%, party one will have legislation 1-3 turned into law while party two will have 1-2 turn as well (if they don't oppose each other)
What happens if there is overlap between the parties points?
Like if in the first turn both party one and party two have "Begin the construction of agri-complexes on the forest moon." as their first point?

Would that lead to both focusing one of their legislation points on it for greater effect? Does one party just skip that point in their legislation list?

Greater effect, but nothing mind-shattering.

It can also "change" the legislation, if both parties want to create gene clinics for the menial and the one with higher point says that it will also provide aesthetics change for the people it will also be included (the one with higher point gets the priority)
