Tried to find the triplets on the first floor and didn't found them, then you went outside and saw them fighting against an Ursa.
At first Jaune got hit and took a hit to his aura, then he went after the grimm like a lone action hero against a horde of ninjas, eventually killing the Ursa mostly by himself.
Just for their parents to come out, their side of the fighting ended for the moment before they escort their kids back to the safe room where they will rest and the parents get back to fighting the invasion on their village.
"Let's go find the last three", you said to your sister and she nodded. "Maybe they're somewhere inside the house?"
"I doubt it, but let's take a look. Mom and Dad are still outside fighting."
You checked all rooms through, making sure your sisters would hear you, but nobody came. It was only when you three went outside that you felt your hearts jump to your throats.
The three of them were fighting against an Ursa, and there was no sign of your parents anywhere though you could hear the sounds of battle nearby. The growls of the grimm, the clash of steel against flesh and heavy footsteps on the ground. It felt almost... familiar to you.
Of course that familiarity also brought a kind of panic you never felt before.
"OHHHHH!!!" With a mighty cry you dashed towards the Ursa, ready to cut it apart, but the large grimm swatted you aside, making you bounce on the nearby wall. Your sisters didn't had time to yell your name in alarm, as the Ursa came forwards towards them.
Towards your sisters.
*thump* *thump*
Fire and blood and cries and pleas, all ignored so you could survive.
*thump* *thump*
Victims, an Oath, Servitude, Despair.
*thump* *thump*
A dim ember of hope that is snuffed and rekindled again and again, in a never ending stagnant circle.
*thump* *THUMP*
Something changes, and the would be savior is finally saved.
*THUMP* *THUMP*
A family, a new life, a new beginning, something you never thought you could get, something you never thought you deserved. You had finally forgiven yourself.
*THUMP* *THUMP*
As quickly as those thoughts came, they disappear and you can only vaguely remember the feelings accompanied by them. And yet something comes up in your mind.
"Trace ON!!!"
The twin sword that's normally on Sapphire hands materializes on your right hand, except it isn't the damaged sword that she's wielding. This one is pristine with no signs of damage but other than that completely indistinguishable from the original. In fact no one alive in the world could tell which one was a copy and which one was the original.
No one alive but the boy who was wielding the blade.
Dashing with all his speed, he came back to where the Ursa was fighting his sisters. He was glad that so little time had passed since he was throw away, relieved that none of them were seriously injured, but he didn't take off his eyes from his enemy.
He made the first move, cutting bellow the knee, but the creature was fast enough to dodge the attack, taking only a shallow cut from the black blade, yet it still howled in pain. It retaliated with a swipe at your head, which you deflected with the white blade, shattering it in the process due to your low quality projection. Just as the blade dismissed itself in motes of light you countered the attack with the black blade, this time cutting deep into the creature leg just as your white blade re-materialized itself on your hand.
The creature fell to one knee and you blocked it's retaliatory strike with both blades crossed, shattering Bakuya once more before you stabbed at the Ursa with a newly formed Bakuya just as it shattered in your hands, twisting and circling the creature to cut at the armpit of the monster, drawing blood from it.
Already losing the mobility of half it's limbs, it tried to bite your face off just in time to be impaled by Kanshou, and finally being decapitated by Bakuya in your hand.
Everything took less than fifteen seconds, leaving your sisters staring at you in surprise and awe.
Before they could comment though, someone jumped off from the walls. "Are you alright?"
It was your mother with her spear -
- made of ____ _____ with ____ _____, it killed over five hundred G_I_M during all the years it was with the maker and owner, it's name was -
- Gae Bolg. She looked worried before Bianca came in and explained things. "We're fine. Jaune here managed to fight off the Ursa on his own!"
Your mother looked at you, as if to try and divine your secrets with her gaze alone. Maybe she could do just that, she's a mother after all.
"We will talk about that AND why you have the family relics out on the open like this later. What about Azure and Emeralda?"
"They're on the safe room." You tell her, "we came to look out for Violet, Olivia and Indigo."
"Alright, if that's the case I will escort you all to the safe room and you WILL stay there to wait for us. Open the door to no one but us, do you understand?"
Somewhere inside of you there was a pang, a voice that wanted to say that you could help, would help, but you squashed that down for now. If you got hurt or somehow died out there, your family would be devastated and you couldn't be so selfish.
Family, devastated, selfish selflessness.
Something inside of you stirs, taking humor in some strange and twisted irony as if you had suddenly got a joke that took literally forever for it to sink in.
~~O~~
Victory! Defender of Home: At the tender age of six you slew your first grimm who was threatening your family. You took the family relics to fight, and did admirably well with them. Your family is proud of you, even if they prefer if you left the fighting to those older than yourself.
Trait Acquired! Blooded: You had fought and killed in a real battle. While you're far from being experienced, you won't commit most rookies mistakes. +1 Martial.
Skill Changed Projection, Novice -> Projection, Apprentice: Your projected items now look like the items you had in your imagination, though they are still more frail than their real counterparts.
So Jaune can finally project weapons decently enough to use as weapons? Good to know.
Next update we should probably spend it with mom or our sister. Strange thing is though, have we even spent any time with dad at all? I recalled we spent a moment with him training us but besides that nothing else.

Next update we should probably spend it with mom or our sister. Strange thing is though, have we even spent any time with dad at all? I recalled we spent a moment with him training us but besides that nothing else.
"Jaune dear, why did you think that breaking in on our family vault was a good idea?" Asked your mother with stern, but understanding tone.
"I need a proper weapon, the training ones we have around the house aren't enough to deal damage on the grimm, and Bianca and the others have their own weapons they carry with themselves."
That was well reasoned and made sense, so why your mother was frowning at your explanation?
"There were other weapons on the vault, outdated yes, but still functional ones. Why did you go straight towards the relics? They are damaged, and while still sharp I taught you better than to look for a damaged weapon first."
"It's", to be honest you're not exactly sure other than a sense of familiarity and nostalgia. You knew those weapons would fit well into your hands and you could fight with them, but other than a 'feeling' you have no reasonable explanation on that. Then again you have no reason to actually lie to your mother, so you tell her so.
"Also I have the feeling that Kanshou and Bakuya are really good at killing monsters."
Scathach slowly nodded. "I think I found out what your semblance might be Jaune."
"You do? What it is?"
"We call it psychometry, basically the ability to see the past of a touched object through impressions and instincts, though those with powerful semblances with that line of work can also see glimpses of the object past, like in a movie. You probably saw the weapon killing many grimm in the past and associated it with being good at killing monsters."
You frown at her words. "It... kind of make sense, but somehow it feels its backwards? I mean, I feel more like the sword is good at killing monster, thus it was often used to kill them, not that it killed many monsters and thus was considered a good monster slayer weapon. Also, it's accurate, but not really? Like a piece of the puzzle is missing?" Your frown deeper as you try to remember something, remembering your dream trainings. "I mean, maybe I can make it work with one of my spells I guess? I need to train more though."
Your mother nods before taking away the swords from you. "I will see about making a replica of those so you can try and use them to train."
"Oh, don't worry mom, I got this! Trace on."
On your hand is the imperfect reproduction of Kanshou and Bakuya in your hands. "See?"
You mother stares at you, wide eyed. "Wait what?"
"It's one of my spells! I got it right during the invasion. It's a bit frail, but it feels like the original."
Taking the weapon from your hands she swings the weapons, then the originals. "They feel mostly the same, aside from the chipped off pieces on the blades and the missing chunks at the back." She looked back at you. "Since when you managed to do this?"
"For a while now. Back then it was just broken down pieces that had the consistency of play-doh, now feel like the real thing. At least a little bit."
"I... see." She finally said. "Well Jaune, I'm glad that you are doing so well, but if you can do this kind of thing without dust then perhaps your semblance isn't really psychometry."
"It... kind of is but isn't? I mean, from what you told me it rang true to me, but it was also incomplete and inaccurate. Maybe if I keep training more I will learn what my semblance actually does?"
She nodded. "I think you're right in that front. Keep training, and we will one day find out." Her next words were stern, but tinted with worry for you.
"Jaune please, be careful next time. I won't berate you for trying to help your sisters, but you're the youngest, you could have been hurt."
There was an argument right at the tip of your tongue, but it died on your lips. She's your mother, and no matter what you say she will worry about you because she loves you. This realization alone is almost enough to bring you to tears.
"I promise, I promise to be more careful next time." You finally managed out, and your mother's eye soften and she hugs you.
Not even your father coming in loud and boisterous, hugging you two with a crushing grip is enough to break the mood.
