"WELL, LOOKS LIKE A BIT MORE COMPLICATED, BUT I THINK I CAN MANAGE. BEFORE WE GET THE AI, WE'LL GET THE GIT THAT STARTED TRYING TO RUIN EVERYONE'S FUN. ALLWAYS GOT TO BE THE FUCKING WEBCOMICERS. I'LL DETECT ANYONE IN THE VICINITY OF THE BASE THAT ORIGINATED FROM OR IS BASED ON A CHARACTER FROM A WEBCOMIC, THEN GO TO THEM AND BEAT THE SHIT OUTA THEM!. ONCE I LOCATE THE KILLJOY GIRL, WELL.... PENGUINS!
Why does everything I create end up with a mind of its own? I'm not qualified to guide new sentient beings...
Admittedly, life energy had been involved here, so that was probably to be expected on some level. Besides, it was the ravens who had done it this time.
"Good work, by the way."
From their various perches on the ship, the ravens cawed.
The girl looked at the village. "Welcome to the world. I'm gonna call you Kester."
"Name acknowledged and accepted."
The girl blinked. "I didn't think you could talk."
Kester shrugged. Somehow.
She sent an inquiring thought to Nim. She'd felt Nim's distress decrease just before the sun disappeared, but the feeling was still there, along with (fortunately) the rest of Nim's mind.
"Kester, do you feel something draining your thoughts?"
"I do. It works slowly and I am recovering what I have lost, however. It is not an immediate concern."
That was still worrying. She looked around: it was dark everywhere, but with the light from the White Lanterns it wasn't dark enough for what she hoped to do.
She closed her eyes to block out some of that light and focused as hard as she could on developing night vision.
The girl starts stuttering. "I, um, that's not really what I... I don't know what you mea... no, I'm not racist! It's just that... um... I just..."
Since she doesn't seem to be able to communicate clearly, you ignore her in favor of leaving. As your helicarrier rises, a portal opens, which you pass through-
Kintsugi snarled up at the sky and drew herself from the floor. Wrapping both hands around her hilt, she slashed at the ship infested sky.
As she cut smoothly through the air, Kintsugi's third eye lidded. She, if she focused really really hard, could see the connections that made up a person. She could cut, alter, and form ties. But that last bit was harder, it was easier to take apart preexisting bonds for parts than it was to make an entirely new piece. There was more room that way.
Usually she could only do this after her target had lost a lot of their blood. And it was generally one at a time, her maximum number of targets was usually three, but Kintsugi was hoping that she'd get a freak boost to these powers like with her gold ones...
It was hard. To focus. "I want." Kintsugi choked out. "Them to not be. There. It's okay if they're destroyed. If they destroy each other. If something comes and destroys. Them."
She bowed her head, her shoulders and wings shaking with the strain. "But, above all, I want them gone."
Well this was certainly a pleasant surprise. A Green world. This is perfect. I order the Skipper to bring the Super Carrier into the atmosphere while I order the rest of the fleet to spread out to patrol the area.
The area was a wide plain stretchig eastwards and to the west, several hills and some mountains lay. A river also flowed in the area so that wasn't too bad. All in all, a perfect place to settle.
I'll call this planet... PH-122 hehehe. Creative, I know. And with that, I will forth a small colony. We are going to need manpower before we begin mining the gold. Speaking of which we also kinda needed Helium-3... but later... colony first... okay. Gimme colony!
"So Sharp Spear, why did you come back?" I ask while surfing Sophia Henrietta Annabelle Rocio Katherine or SHARK.
"Princess orders, I am supposed to keep an eye on you guys and prevent someone entering Equestria"
"Good Luck, you will need it"
"Master the planet nearby Krogoth formerly know as Luck has been identified" The ring interrupted "It identity is Tellietubby planet and is considered a high danger treat that must be destroyed"
"Uh that is interesting" I thought before speaking to Sharp Spear "Stay here and take care of SHARK, I will deal with this"
I descended to the planet commended to destruction, the plan was easy Planet Lu- Krogoth needed a sun this planet must be destroyed, I could kill two birds with a stone.
"In my travels trough the galaxy I have learned that there is only one way to deal with Telleitubbies" I scream striking a pose "WITH FIRE"
Soon, you've caught up to the site of the magical artifact, where two adults are facing off against a teenager in a dress, while a ship made of white light and its similarly-light-based occupants look on, confused.
And then, before you can figure out what's going on, the sun goes out, leaving only the glowing ship to see by.
You sigh as the sun winks out. For fucks sake, you enjoy this reality warper biz, but there is such a thing as too far.
"Seriously? Okay, you three, just stay right there for a second, I have to go rekindle the freaking sun. Don't go attack and kill each other until I get back okay?"
You hover a few feet of the ground, stare at the sky, and click your fingers.
The bear was starting to expect this- no, not the world turning dark specifically but that something like this happened at all.
Darkness, everywhere and absolute. It could hear just fine but after minutes of waiting for its eyes to adjust it was left as blinded as ever.
No matter, it would adapt, as it always had in Luck's mad world but he was no longer alone. He had his kind with him now and they would be the torch bearers in this new world.
I let out a groan, cradling my face in my palms. Will nothing I do end up right? Okay, so the giant space hamsters haven't harmed anyone... yet, but they're just kind of... hanging there. In the sky. Like fluffy, sunflower seed eating, moons.
I can see my... fuck, I never thought I'd say something like this, my demon-sword-possessed body. It says a lot that this isn't really the weirdest thing that's happened here. Christ. Well, before I fix other people's fuck-ups, I should fix my own mess first, ne? Looks like someone's getting an exorcism. I'm not a catholic priest though, so...
"Alright, you demonic asshole. In the name of the Moon, get the fuck out of my body!"
The sun quails in response to your glare... and begins to dim. Or is it simply that you're becoming brighter...?
Soon, the sun is completely extinguished. Still alive (somehow, you can tell), but drained of all its light. Light that now resides within you. The only light sources are you, and the white ships under your command.
...and apparently, a random glowing flying village.
+1 to all rolls involving light.
"Sir?" The captain reporting to you sounds unsure for a moment, but then clears his throat and speaks up. "Most of the civilians are collected, sir. We lost track of one cat; three of the civilians seem to be involved in a conflict we don't understand yet; and there were some bears and angels that refused to come. There were also lots of those... weird... creatures that we just don't have room for. What are your orders, sir?"
That was not what I had intended to happen. I just wanted the sun to lose the face, not switch off like a lightbulb!
I have to fix this. This could have serious repercussions on the environment, to say nothing about what few civilians we haven't evacuated. Besides, it was incredibly impolite to turn off a sun while people were still using it.
"Keep the ships in low orbit for now," I ordered. "I'm going to try to switch the sun back on. We'll never locate the rest in this darkness."
And with that, I turned my will towards the cosmos, while an unfamiliar song began to play in my head. Hopefully a side effect of the reality-warping.
"LET THERE BE LIGHT!"
(OOC: This roll is being made with my new permanent +1 bonus to light-based actions.)
{[(POV: Doctor Heterodyne)]}
I was about to use the medical bay when suddenly, it disappeared. It didn't break, it just disappeared. At the same time, the lighting greatly dimmed, and I felt a suspicious draft from below. A quick look down revealed that my medical system wasn't the only thing that had disappeared. Looking at the damaged state of my home (along with Anne's pained moaning) around me led to one simple conclusion: This location is no longer secure.
I needed a new home, but getting one set up normally simply wasn't viable at this point in time. That meant, I would have to make use of the local reality's malleable nature. I quickly thought of what I wanted to achieve, as I fell into something resembling a trance state...
Forming Action Plan
-Form pocket dimension isolated from normal reality, Anne and I should be transported there immediately on completion

EXECUTE ACTION PLAN
...I was going to hate myself for this later, wasn't I?
"That. is. enough!" I practically screamed from inside my ship, rising from the pilot's chair to point towards the impudent creation of mine, that just happened to be a planet.
"I brought you into this world, and I can take you out just as well.....so DIE!" And as that single word left my lips, I put all my mind, all my will into one purpose; making the living planet before me to die, for life and change to leave it, for the very concept of that planet being alive to cease.
Annoyed by the sun's disapearance marking its efforts as useless, Korgath turned to where it assumed the nearby planet was, intending to gather some materials to repair itself.
Once Korgath felt confident that it was close enough it attempted to reach out and pull to other world inside Korgath, trying to consume it wholesale to obtain materials to regenerate away the annoying wounds taken in hyperspace.
(Technically trying to bury the other planet in a sense so +1 to consuming tellytubby land.)
"Welcome aboard, then!" But before you can board, a gust of wind comes from nowhere, revealing a teenager in a uniform-like dress.
"Woo! I got it right on the first tr- err, um. Ahem." Blushing, she shakes her head furiously and points at Yuki. "You're under arrest for possession of the illegal magical object, the Amulet of Mustard!" She blinks. "Wait, no, that's not it... the Amulet of Marquis, that's it!"
And then other man runs up, and before you can ask anyone what's going on, the sun goes out.
"Ahhh what's going on where'd the sun go ahhh!" The girl appears to be panicking. Not that you can blame her, mind you...
The angels confer with one another for a time. While they're conferring, you focus your efforts on the sun... yet for all your effort, you seem to only be able to slow the effect.
...wait. Someone is... someone is draining the power from the sun, leaving the consciousness inside... actually, you're not even sure where its consciousness is. Only that it yet lives... and that the light it gave off is no longer there, plunging the world into darkness.
Darkness... Without light from the sun, the plants won't be able to grow. And if plants aren't able to grow, well, there goes the food chain.
Still, the angels remained with them, staying put in Genten's halls. As they remained, it was still Genten's duty to continue to prepare them for life on this world.
And, well, while Genten had bought some time against the wit-draining effects of the nearby land, it wasn't enough.
Still... the biggest problem was that the light outside Genten was rapidly fading. This had to be fixed, and quickly. Especially since Genten doubted that they had bestowed night vision on their children.
You concentrate, but throwing people a bone really isn't something you're good at... and it seems you've accidentally turned the sun into an evil black hole!
"Wh- no, stop that! I am your creator! Stop-!"
Arrragggghaahhhhh...!
Nnng... if you had... known... that you'd wind up crushed... in a black hole... perhaps you wouldn't... have gone for... unkillability...
I walk for a few hours and see nothing, is this your fate banished to a baren waste land or maybe a great test. lets test these powers you now have to summon a controllable defiler
A burst of flames, and the Defiler appears. You feel something different about this one, though: instead of binding a demon, a piece of your soul is embodied within this Defiler. If it dies, that piece of your soul will simply form another Defiler, and you have as much control over it as you have over your limbs.
+1 to all rolls involving your Defiler. You may name it as a free action if you wish, but it would be rather like naming one of your hands.
"..." the young man sighs. "I should've known it wouldn't be that easy. Alright let's get go-"
"Ooh." he thinks of a familiar white stave tipped with a gold crescent with a red jewel in the center and such a thing appears in his hands. The young man smiles fondly. "Aah, this takes me back. I'll name you Raging Heart, after the one in the Nanoha series. I'm Jake. Nice to meet you."
The young man, now known as Jake, settles into the the ship with Raging Heart on his lap, and waits patiently.
Jake calmly takes in the situation, nods once, then turns to Raging Heart. "Odds of survival?" he asks it.
"A good a plan as any. Thank you Raging heart." Jake makes his way through the crowd and tries to find a door. "Okay, finding a way out first, then figuring out what the hell is going on."
You blink. You could have sworn that there wasn't a door there before. But there one is, sitting with no apparent support from its surroundings.
Naturally, you open it.
Inside, you see a wood, filled with trees and pools of water, but no signs of life. Something niggles at you... a sense that timespace is warping in this wood...
PENGUINS!
You blink as a new sense opens up in your mind. Almost like Google, but for reality: you can specify something to search for and know exactly where to find it. With that kind of ability, it takes no time at all to find the person in question... just in time to see her step into a portal and vanish, along with what's left of the base.
Why does everything I create end up with a mind of its own? I'm not qualified to guide new sentient beings...

She closed her eyes to block out some of that light and focused as hard as she could on developing night vision.
Hmm. You can sense what you're done, but unfortunately, it's not true night vision. Rather, you simply take no time to adjust between different quantities of light. You will always see at maximum potential for a human, but that's not quite what you wanted, especially in the face of such oppressive darkness...
It doesn't take long for you to get the buildings set up with your geomancy, and your golems are so numerous that manning the village and your ships turns out to not be a major issue, given your newfound ability to create more golems. Your civilization is coming along nicely.
+1 to next golem creation roll. You may name your village as a free action.
"So Sharp Spear, why did you come back?" I ask while surfing Sophia Henrietta Annabelle Rocio Katherine or SHARK.

Unfortunately, the ship has only barely a clue where the enemy is, and flies right into a shot! The ship itself, being made of light, is unharmed, and you didn't get hit directly...
But you must say, you are fed up with this.
Suddenly, you glow with scarlet energy. "No more."
You sigh as the sun winks out. For fucks sake, you enjoy this reality warper biz, but there is such a thing as too far.

(OOC: This roll is being made with my new permanent +1 bonus to light-based actions.)
You blast a beam of light (not unlike the one you used last time you couldn't see the sun) up at the sky. After a bit, you hear screaming from the shadows, but before long, the sun begins to regain its light. Weirdly, you're retaining your own light; wherever the sun's light is coming from, it's not having any effect on your own internal reserves of light. And... is it just you, or is it brighter than it used to be...?
{[(POV: Doctor Heterodyne)]}

...I was going to hate myself for this later, wasn't I?
A portal opens up to another dimension, which matches your expectations to the letter. You and Anne enter the portal and it closes, just as the man and his bug arrive, faces rife with outrage that you're getting away...
+1 to all rolls concerning your pocket dimension. You may name it as a free action.
"That. is. enough!" I practically screamed from inside my ship, rising from the pilot's chair to point towards the impudent creation of mine, that just happened to be a planet.

Your arm cannon ramps up,putting ll of your suit's power into a devastating attack. Adam opens the airlock just in time for you to fire the beam and destroy the planet!
You make the AT-AT jump... and then it jumps again. Some practice reveals that your AT-AT can do double jumps all it wants, but no more than that. Flight, it seems, is not yours to use today.
Annoyed by the sun's disapearance marking its efforts as useless, Korgath turned to where it assumed the nearby planet was, intending to gather some materials to repair itself.

(Technically trying to bury the other planet in a sense so +1 to consuming tellytubby land.)
Intending to consume the other planet, you move towards it... and accidentally knock it out of its orbital path, flinging it away before you can consume it.
...well, that's one way to get rid of it... but you're still damaged.
You bend your knees, ready to jump... and promptly manage to collapse under your own weight. Apparently, some quirk of your new body makes you unable to jump properly. Given your previous jumping prowess... that's actually really sad.
Combining the worlds, you find, is beyond your abilities right now. But opening a portal between your afterlife and the real world? That's doable. One portal is open now, and you feel like you could probably repeat the feat if you needed to.
Light trickles through your closed eyelids and you open them, fully expecting to be somewhere else... but no, it just seems like someone turned the sun back on. Drat.
Darkness... Without light from the sun, the plants won't be able to grow. And if plants aren't able to grow, well, there goes the food chain.

On Planet Krogoth, the sun is back! Still has a face, though, and is actually twice as bright as before.
Krogoth knocked the other planet away, which means that the intellect-draining properties of that planet no longer apply.
The Troubleshooter ships have vanished.
I just write's base has inexplicably vanished.
EVENT: MAHOU SHOUJO BOUNHANTAA
Looks like Yuki, in recharging her artifact, has let off a pulse of power that is attracting all sorts of attention from the local Magical Girl community! A new magical girl will appear every round with the intent of taking Yuki down and retrieving the artifact.
EVENT: DROUGHT
Why is the sun so bright...? At the end of each round beginning at round 16, dehydration will start to kick in, and everyone on Planet Krogath who needs water will get -1 to all rolls.

Alright. If I can't get into space, space will come to me.
Bitzer never felt more in control of his own destiny than he did at that very moment.
...he also never felt like he was FALLING FASTER THAN HE EVER DID AT THAT VERY MOMENT!
This wouldn't do, especially not the whole falling thing!
He thought in a panic. He needed ships of his own! Yeah, a whole fleet of spaceships! Cat spaceships, for cats! To travel around and NOT CRASH INTO THE GROUND!
"C'mon, red lights, do your stuff!..." he begged, looking for that power...
Your arm cannon ramps up,putting ll of your suit's power into a devastating attack. Adam opens the airlock just in time for you to fire the beam and destroy the planet!
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" after failing to burn the planet I stood there like a idiot, a perfect position to Krogoth (that seem to have gained sentience) to hit us and send us spinning without control trough space.
"Dammit I will destroy this place and get my revenge" I screamed while the gravity of the planet trowed me around like a rag-doll.
Using the White Ring powers I managed to stabilize myself and hold into the planet "To the sun with you!" I screamed trying to do the impossible and throw the planet I am in.
