It wouldn't even be surprising. You can get IPhone apps that are designed to check/do the vector work and distance estimates for calling in artillery or airstrikes in accordance with at least US, British, and German practices. They've been a thing for something like seven years. Hell, I know people who still have them installed from their tour in Iraq.

Turning a smartphone into a lead-computing gunsight would probably be pretty easy.

The Independences are carriers, not cruisers, even though they're CL conversions. So I doubt they'd consider each other full sisters.
