Kantai Collection - Fanfic Idea and Recs

Remembered an old Readers Digest article about girls and women working in ammo and firearm factories during WW2 (like an ex-hairdresser building and testing AA guns), and got wondering how many of the gun crew fairies came from these.

It wouldn't even be surprising. You can get IPhone apps that are designed to check/do the vector work and distance estimates for calling in artillery or airstrikes in accordance with at least US, British, and German practices. They've been a thing for something like seven years. Hell, I know people who still have them installed from their tour in Iraq.

Turning a smartphone into a lead-computing gunsight would probably be pretty easy.

From a shipgirl's .plan file:

Gone cruising. Will tell you in a few weeks if the sailboard helps reduce the resource consumption.

The Norfolk Shippers have released unto the interwebz their own "Gangnam Style" parody. They of course named it "Shipgirl Style".

Two other famous parodies:

Half-sisters? Cousins?
