If you're using "said" or a word like it (announces), then it's a dialogue tag.
Hmm," you hear a giggle
Hmm." You hear a giggle
A giggle doesn't fall under the dialogue tag as it isn't a way of saying something. It's an action, therefore it's an action tag.
To save her, that is." the figure concludes.

Usually, an em dash is used to cut off speech midway like that. However, the goddess trailed off here, so ellipses are used.

It LivES!!! HAHAHAHA

also "The Laundry-Drying Pole (Astralized, badly damaged, but may be repaired via mundane methods.)" anyone wants to pick up a book on how to do this?

Oh, I gotta update that. It's pretty damn busted now. It's going to need a new blade and its hilt repaired. At this point, the only benefit of repairing it would be that you can astralize and materialize it at will.

So ZA TRUTHU has won by a landslide, so I'll just go ahead and lock votes.

Note to self, make better options.

Also, new JoJo anime adaption is out, so blame that for any ham you see me add to the story.

... Shit. We probably should've found a blacksmith or something. There's always one doing it for fun. Now, it's fucked on a major level.

I should probably force myself to check out JoJo. I can't muster a fuck for most anime nowadays, so anime lost in priority for the last, oh, year and a half or so. Maybe two.

Pretty sure it wasn't going to work anyways...katanas can't be reforged short of melting it down for raw materials, though they can be cut down and sharpened into shorter blades.

You're forgetting this is a magical blade that literally runs off of imaginary energy.

It's also capable of becoming incorporeal, which is a tremendous boon in a society which frown upon fun weapons.

Steel is reusable an infinite amount of times, so I suspect if we use this steel to forge a new blade, it would still be capable of astralization.

Was going to vote, but... seems like the bandwagon I was supposed to hop on already won, so... yay?

re: the Monohoshizao
It's a spiritual construct in the shape of a super long katana (much like how Sakaki Kojirou was a spiritual construct in the shape of a swallow-ass-kicking samurai), so I thought we'd have to resort to more... mystical means of repairing it.

I wonder if we can ask the Shinju (sure, ask the divine beings that keep the world alive for more favors why don't you) or the Taisha (they're divine servants, maybe they know something about spiritual armaments) about fixing the sword?

And now that Yue's been blessed by the Shinju as a Yuusha, I'm interested in what that particular divine blessing has done to her soul...

IIRC, Hougu are the memories of the World of something particularly awesome related to a Heroic Spirit. Presumably, it's steel made out of magical energy.
Q: Exactly what kind of power is sorcery? Is it something that can't be used by normal people even if they obtained grimoires and studied them? Or is it something that is possible only with knowledge gained from performing magical rituals drawing on the Root?
A: It is an occult art, grounded in and actualized via the Fifth Imaginary Element. Sorcery harnesses mana to interfere with phenomena; a shortcut that creates artificial changes in the world. ...That's about as clear as fog, so to put it simply, it utilizes energies that don't exist in reality, like mana, as chemical elements.
More than anything else, sorcery requires the generation of mana, so people without Magic Circuits cannot practice sorcery no matter how hard they study its theories.
