So, is Sona dead? Because, in LCorp, WhiteNight instakilled blessed nuggets without any possibilty of preventing it. (Apart from starting new game, that us)

Only if the Twelfth Apostle gets Blessed and the Advent starts, so not for a while yet. There is a chance to save her if things pan out well enough.

Yeah but once you're made into an apostle you can't go back, so we will have to kill her regardless.
Hopefully, things are a little different here. Adam's powers have displayed some variations from what LobCorp's game mechanics allowed, so it's hypothetically possible this could also be something that's different.

Hope springs eternal - we'll just have to see how the cards fall.

How many time can we spam Dreaming before we corrode? Can we have someone like Amiya use the book as well? Would those even be good idea?

fuck. fuck fuck fuck oh god.

Well...We've learned more, at bare minimum. The issue is that in no uncertain terms, we're fucked right now because Adam's power directly goes against our general methodology, and if his corrosion- A more prevalent expression of the EGO- is any indication, he just has Jamie, Andoain, and now Sona (GOD DAMNIT AAAAAA) practically dancing to his tune, and it won't end until he's dead or somehow loses his EGO.

Now...for strategies. We have a lot of choices here, and a lot of potential to start moving things wildly. Amiya's emotional absorption and manipulation is valuable; Khaganquest is also valuable, as it's likely that a developed EGO/Distortion can impact Adam.

Anyway, buncha beta, not-super-well-organized plans that can maybe work as a basis for something:

[] Plan: New Job Direction
- [] Khaganquest
- [] Attempt to redirect the Khaganquest's ire to Adam. The line between Distortion and EGO has always been debatable, and judging by how the Dreaming Current worked it can at least impact him- And a giant, very upset centaur bashing him around has to do something to impede him. Hopefully.

[] Plan: Big Fucking Shark
- [] Amiya
- [] Have Amiya utilize the book of the Dreaming Current. Abnormalities are incredibly emotion-based beings, and something's telling you she can make much better use of it than you can currently.

[] Plan: Happiness Must Be Fought For
- [] Amiya
- [] Have Amiya interact with either one of the apostles, or the Khaganquest. There's a strange air about her, something commanding; Maybe she can forcefully drag an Apostle out of Adam's grasp, even when you failed.

Three of twelve. The fourth might come sooner then you think.
fFFFFF-
WHERE IS HIBISCUS?!?
Or would it be someone else like the Bishop? He's still around.

On allies, most of them lack the esoteric skills that will be most effective and Khaganquest is monofocused on Jamie. So that leaves Amiya. I just have no idea how to use her. She does something with empathy which lets her copy skills?

It says that the connection with Abel has been re-established, can't we tell him to relay info? Just tell everyone that some people can be transformed with a touch, and to keep Hibiscus far away and safe

[] Plan: Protagonist Power
-[] Amiya
-[] Ask Abel where X is, and warn the rest of our allies outside about Sona and Adam's EGO Corrosion. Warn them to keep Hibiscus safe.
-[] Have Abel relay your plans to Kal'tsit and Amiya.
--[] You'll draw Jamie and Sona to Mon3tr and Andoian. You hope that with Amiya's support, they can keep the three of them occupied.
--[] This frees you up to try and deal with Adam himself. Use the Dreaming Current, see how they like the taste.

Mon3tr is a pretty tough beast and with Kal'tsit's support, should be able to last quite a while especially if Kal'tsit makes it use its defensive skills and keeps healing it. Canonically, it took a beating from Patriot and outright won a fight with a Emperor's Blade (Granted, Pursuer couldn't make full use of his Arts), so it should be able to stall the Apostles who from what I recall, are more about being annoying to permanently put down than incredibly strong.

Amiya also indirectly helps since she gives passive buffs to her allies just by existing. Letting her deal with the 3 Apostles will hopefully let her glean something about them that we can use thanks to her emotional absorption.

Meanwhile, let's see if Sieg can beat the tar out of Adam using a EGO. Can he heal others while getting his face punched off? We need information while we're still fresh eniugh to gather it. Our problem right now is that we don't have enough to work with, let's fix that.

hmm.
If any single one of them fully turns into an apostle, they are gone. They are never gonna be back again.
Although the fact that an apostle turned her, without whitenight's blessing... That is forced brainwash, The link between whitenight and her is unstable at best
Damn it...
....
Why do I feel like we should go for the distortion? It makes no sense...

Hold up, they stopped having individuality for now, and they are being called by their weapon instead of their number like before. It wouldn't be incorrect to assume they were "powered up" (gained some apostle powers) by the corrosion, right?
If that's the case Andoian is quite dangerous since he can deal pale damage and endure all damage except pale.

Or am I being to paranoid?

Sieg distorting would be bad because of random targeting. Could hit our own allies, and unlike WhiteNight, we don't have infinite heals and revives.

If you mean distorting the Apostles, not possible right now since they've been brainwashed and won't hear what we have to say.

I mean, we killed Apostles just fine without Pale Damage in LoR. It should be fine. Andoian was helpless against Mon3tr so even if he does get a boost right now, I doubt it's enough to conmpletely reverse the scales.

[X] Plan: Protagonist Power

Seems like we're in a knock-down drag-out fight now. Adam seems intent on beating us here instead of retreating like we initially assumed, so let's gather what intel we can, probe at what works and what doesn't before we start committing to beating their faces in fully.

Stalling is the name of the game, not only for gathering information, but also to hold them until Mlynar and Linnette appear.

It does seem like the play here is now to stall and draw more cards onto the board faster than the foe can. Right now I just can't think of a way to end this fight - clearly, defeating Adam is the only solution, but do we have enough oomph to do the job? Dreaming Current could at least hit the man, but it didn't seem to be doing much more, and our more significant attacks like Mirrored Light leave Sieg very vulnerable, while hardly guaranteeing a finish. Linette and Mylnar joining the fight will help, assuming they can get through the storm - I think we just have to keep hitting the sons of bitches and see where the cards land. Right now, our side is still basically fresh, so plenty of gas remains in the tank for the long haul.

I love the title for this plan and agree with the basic gist, but instinct and habit compel me to try and make it at least a little more sophisticated. With Abel back online, our ability to communicate has been dramatically improved, which is a valuable asset we ought to take advantage of. I'd make a specific note to ask the man for details about how WhiteNight fought since a Corroded Adam will be much more similar to the thing, and knowing some of its tricks might help us in a 1v1. Making a specific effort to ask Kal'tsit and Amiya if they have any abilities that could hurt Adam's incorporeal form, or any useful tricks in general, could be very helpful. The last plan might've gone better if we'd had a better in-character idea of what Monst3r is capable of - True Damage is clearly exceptional, and both Amiya and Kal are capable of it in the game. Telling Rhodes Island to find Hibiscus and get her out of dodge is a great idea, and certainly a better use of their time than getting pushed around by the Storm.

Something like this then?

[X] Plan: Protagonist Power
-[X] Amiya
-[X] Communicate with your allies using Abel:
--[X[ Warn them that Adam got Sona and has seemingly suffered EGO corrosion, and that Rhodes Island should keep Hibiscus safe and away from the fight.
--[X] Ask Abel and X for any tips on handling the Apostles and WhiteNight. Disseminate this information across all combatants.
--[X] Ask Kal'tsit and Amiya if they think they have any tricks that can help put the Apostles down permanently or any techniques to harm Adam.
-[X] Have Abel relay your plans to Kal'tsit and Amiya.
--[X] You'll draw Jamie and Sona to Mon3tr and Andoian. You hope that with Amiya's support, they can keep the three of them occupied.
--[X] This frees you up to try and deal with Adam himself. Use the Dreaming Current, see how he likes the taste.

I got an idea but haven't written it into the plan. Know how Dreaming Current can push past the storm and how Sieg is still sane and fully in control?

Why not buzz out, grab X and [CENSORED], and then buzz in with the two bridal carry style.

hmm.
Censored as a thing is capable of killing all hope to beings that do not a strong enough mind....
IDK about jamie or Andoian, but Sona have too weak of a mind and we can probably break the mental link between Adam and Sona because she was granted a blessing by someone else which is in some way heresy... breaking down the link of faith and hope that was not strong enough because she now lost the forced-in faith in her.
WhiteNight is not Complete, the people under him is not fully turned( Which means they are not fully inhuman, which means they are not capable of processing censored and do not have absolute faith in Whitenight) and we have a way to heal mind, The dreaming current have EGO white DMG weapons, Doctor have sanity recovering fluids.
So maybe we should give a try? We ourselves will not go mad but I have no guarantee for other members on our team or other people around us like Rhode Island... But it's kind of worth a shot?
I faintly remember that there is stuff that damages the sanity of your operators in arknights canon

I'd clarify the language here, since this is rather confusing. Keep things clear - Amiya and Kal'tsit will fight the Apostles, while Sieg uses the Dreaming Current to attack Adam. Given that we don't know how Corroded Adam will fight or how the pair will handle themselves, anything more detailed isn't terribly practical beyond what we've already added.

Another potential issue is that Adam's currently high in the air, meaning that Sieg might struggle to hit him with the Dreaming Current? If that's the case, then we might be better off once again focusing on hammering the Apostles and waiting for backup to arrive. It's hard to say how things will play out, and I'm hesitant to advocate for a bunch of "if-then" additions, because those are never fun.

That's ... well, that might actually work? The Dreaming Current ain't the kind of thing you hold on to, but X is stated to be functionally immortal with his power going. I'm not sure we can describe the DC as 'buzzing' anywhere, though, and the time needed to get out, find X, and jump back into the Storm would be leaving Amiya and Kal'tsit on their own in an extremely perilous situation - assuming the scheme even works. On the rule, I'd leave that as a possible desperation gambit, but not something to try out at the moment.

Enemy Status:
Andoain, the "Guardian Apostle"
- Grade: Grade 1
- Condition: The life has departed his eyes.
Sieghart's Note: What little shreds of independence I saw not long ago are gone. What is left is an Apostle. No more, no less.

Jamie, the "Scythe Apostle"
- Grade: Star Of The City
- Condition: The life has departed his eyes.
Sieghart's Note: Again, another shell. The shell of a human's E.G.O is being wielded by an Abnormality... isn't this the exact opposite of what's supposed to happen?
Interesting that Seig is thinking about Andoain in terms of fixer grades but Jamie in the other threat levels (forgot the term for that classification system, and I can't seem to find it).

Yeah, if-then votes since do nothing but bloat and confuse voting so I'm against that too.

As for the wording, drawing the Apostles into Mon3tr's arms is essential since they can just elect to not clash with the spine monster. Hence, why Sieg will use himself as bait to get Sona and Jamie within range of Mon3tr and Amiya so he can be free to deal with Adam.

Adam's flying is an issue, but WhiteNight's invincibility and his corrosion likely means he won't try to get out of the way or intercept the attack, so Sieg ought to be able to hit even if Adam's high in the air. Sieg's physicals seem enough that he can just jump to reach WhiteNight and use Dreaming Current when he judges he's within range.

Fixer habit, I'm afraid. As a frequent hunter of high-profile cases and Outskirts monsters, Sieg tends to associate the dramatic superpowers of Distortions and E.G.O users with this sort of cases and enemies- while the more subdued gunslinging of Andoain, whose ricocheting gun wouldn't look out of place in a Workshop-affiliated Fixer's hands, hit closer to his own profession.
That said, it's not exactly in line with the City system. A Thumb Capo would be judged in grades, just like the Lungmen gangsters were, despite being graded in ranks by Hana.
As to why some very specific creatures were placed in Abnormality classifications despite him not knowing these well, that's not exactly his fault. His brain is pratically a homeless shelter by now.

I'm gonna be real, this doesn't make a lot of sense. Both Amiya and Monst3r have enough mobility to engage the Apostles on their own, especially the latter - the 'spine monster' isn't actually a stationary creature. Not to mention the fact I hardly see why they'd obligingly chase Sieg into a trap. This isn't a dealbreaker, but I really think this part should be scrubbed in favor of a more straightforward initial deployment.

We actually don't know that. We know the Apostles are boosted, but to what degree is unknown. How well does their mobility compare to Amiya and Mon3tr's? We don't know. Who's our most mobile and most combat experienced asset right now? Sieg.

I can return the same criticism. The Apostles are not obligated to engage Amiya and Mon3tr unless they're forced to, and one way to force them to do so is by having Sieg engage them and then position them in a way that Mon3tr and Amiya can lock all 3 of them into a melee brawl. It also provides Mon3tr and Amiya with an advantage in that while Jamie and Sona are busy with Sieg, Mon3tr and Amiya can potentially get a free hit in while their attention is occupied.
