Industrialization Quest

Damn minus 20 for previous botches is harsh. I assume that's to show we're doing something fundamentally wrong and need a good success to figure out the proper path?
I decided that two botches means actually it's very hard and not something you're going to suddenly break through on. And yeah, narratively you have some block or misunderstanding that males it harder.

Really, sand casting is just not great for making small decorative figures and you're doing a crude and simple version of it.

Oh definitely. Casting sounds a lot easier than it is, that we got to the point where we could cast crude shapes in so little time is fairly impressive.

[25 + 16 + 10 (Expert Input) + 10 (Multiple attempts) + 0 (Blessing Rescinded) - 20 (Multiple Botches) = 41]
What was that blessing from Dreselin good for if everything ended up like this anyway? You tried your best. Maybe you should have gotten an expert's help first thing? Regardless, you feel oddly sure that the god's attention has moved on, disappointed in you.

Tsss, ouch. The fact that we flubbed the casting is bad enough. But dissapointing the goddess even after she gave us an opportunity...that hurts.

"...That sounds pretty good. Not entirely sure I like the last but, but it sounds fair enough. Yeah. Let's do it!"
"bit"
Questioning low-ranking members of the conspiracy, then arresting more important people on based on the evidence from those small crimes.
"based on"

We now return to our regularly scheduled programming.
Adventures in the city are fun, and getting the General as a contact tickles my fancy, but I want to get back to our sandbox. Hopefully, we can get to the end of the year and switch to quarterly turns in a reasonable timeframe...

Not the best way to show that it's actually hard. A negative modifier is generally a way to show something is wrong, not that it's hard. DC is generally the method to show how difficult something is.

I totally agree it should be very hard to figure out, especially without the crystal. We at least seemed to figure out that we were going about it all wrong, although it wasn't very clear at the start that things would be sticking to realism in that regard.

I've never liked dice rolls and generally see the glass half empty, so take this with a grain of salt.

Traditionally Difficulty Class is the communicating term for difficulty of a task. But that's a nitpick.

I like the idea of correspondence chess with the duke. Piece-name X to Position row Y Column Z, with a notation if there's a capture or check or something of the like is traditional I believe.

Could be a good guy to discuss ways to improve armor on a technical level - plate over chain.

Wait. Plates would probably be really easy to cast. I wonder...if we consult the codex Crystal about this, what would it show us? Cheap plate available to the average soldier? Yes please.

Might even be able to make up with our cavalry guy if we focus on cavalry plate first.

Gained an acquaintance: The famous General Greis (Retired)!
:o

...if we play our cards right we might get a bit of martial/tactical training out of him too!

Also a usefull IN to the army for when we have something usefull to propose, like the grenades/gunpowder.
+4 Profit. Frustration.
+1 extra Profit (Omake bonus Well Ventilated Area/My bad/apologies for forgetting to apply the +10 earlier)
slightly better than I expected (without counting the omake profit).

about the stat, I think we SHOULDN'T take Martial.

Reason is easy: we can raise it by training it, while we don't have actions to train the other stats.

We also know an ex-general now, so we might get a few tactics/strategy lessons by him, or a training plan, which could help.

I'd go with diplomacy, stewardship or learning. Not sure which

[X] Diplomacy

The getting people to buy in skill. We need this. We is smart and we is good business, but we need buy-in and we're lacking in the status thing.
