Industrialization Quest

[x] Make more decorative pewter castings using what you've learned, keeping the sand casting method as secret as possible. 1 Profit.
[x] See if you can earn a little money helping Maisah with errands, or just help her out in general with her trading tasks.

[x] Trawl the marketplaces looking for interesting or useful stuff to buy. You have a decent supply of money, why not spend it on something?
[x] Get fitted for a new pair of sturdy shoes! Five days of travel has reminded you of how much easier good shoes can make things. Costs 1 Profit. Doesn't cost a day if taken with another shopping option.

[x] Spend more time with Genevieve Casinet, discussing the economy of Veschwar and the relative merits of various tax policies. Fascinating stuff!
-[x] Hunt down a copy of that book about the architecture of spires and towers you mentioned to her, as a gift between friends. 1 Profit.

[X] Get a master pewter smith to help you make more castings, revealing that sand casting exists and the overall method, but not how to make the sand. 2 Profit.
[X] Get a market stall and sell the pewter castings you have already produced (as well as any more from a second try) at low, low prices so they go quickly. You'll still make a tidy profit.

Omake policy
Omake policy

I've done thinking about omakes. I like the idea of rewarding them to encourage participation, but I don't want to make everything center around omakes.

I will give bonuses for omakes entirely on my own judgement - depending on length and quality for word based omake and quality for anything else (I.E. character portraits). I'll track any pending omake bonuses here and remove them once spent. These omake bonuses will typically be +5 or +10 to one die roll. Really really good stuff might get you rerolls or bigger bonuses. I will apply them at my own judgment most of the time - whenever they seem to be needed/appropriate. If I give you an omake bonus and you want it applied to something specific I'll try to remember that, but might not.

Sound fair?

She gives a wide smirk, looking confident, even arrogant. "Yep. Yema Falstead, Master Smelter. I make the finest alloys in the land. I can even make that legendary weapon-metal - Steel. When this whole messy war's done with, maybe you'll want to talk to me about smelting what comes out of the iron mine you apparently have."
steel is so common nowadays that it's downright weird to hear it described as "that legendary weapon-metal".

She'd definitely be a good recruit for our projects, especially once we end up expanding the mine.
While I'd like to do something for Timothy, I'm not sure how to help. We should probably do one relaxation option to keep our health up, and I'd like to seek out more contacts. Buying sturdy shoes is important, but I'm willing to leave it for the last four days, along with selling whatever castings we can.
why don't we go for the most relaxing option we have (drinking and feasting) and bring him with us? like this

[x] There are luxuries you haven't thought about in months accessible here, and a brief taste of them would certainly be relaxing. 1 Profit each.
-[x] Drinking and feasting? Nesiwald had simple fare and plain beer, but here you could get all sorts of fine wines, spiced meats, honey mead, a minstrel playing while you dine...
--[x]bring Greens with you on one of the days he's banned from work. A taste of the fine life might help him relax and supercharge him for the last few days of work. -1 more profit.

a bit expensive, but it should repair and strenghten our relationship. He's a friend, 1 profit is not that much to spend and he has shown a bit of envy for our better meals already at the beginning of our stay.

@Rockeye would this be fine?

We can sell whatever we make, buy shoes and see the doctor next turn (the last one we're in the city).

Shoes especially next turn are a must. The doctor is not necessary, but it's probably better to see it anyway, just in case.

Right now we should take advantage of the last chance we'll have at high-quality relaxation in months, using it to raise Timothy Green's morale and strenghtening our friendship with him, and continue establishing a good relationship with Genevieve Casinet

Current winning votes are:

17 for more pewter castings
16 for making contacts with merchants
15 for getting shoes (with 11 also wanting to trawl the market place)
14 for helping Maisah

If getting shoes win, I'll just shoe-in (ba-dum-tsss) it into including marketplace trawl. That split vote thing is kind of annoying and confusing so I'll just obviate it.

to all questers voting: do consider the now approved write-in!

a bit of relaxing for both our main character and the stressed apprentice blacksmith.

We won't have a chance to relax this way and enjoy some luxury for MONTHS at least, until we travel back here, and we made enough profits (without even considering the coming sale of sandcast-produced things) that we can afford to.

It should also better our friendship with the really stressed apprentice, who has already showed a bit of envy for our better meals.

Don't you want to help a friend in need, while also treating ourselves?

I'll avoid mass tagging (writing all the names is a hassle anyway).

I feel we need to give Green his space for a few days, let's get our business done so we can relax the last few days we are here. We can try to get Green to relax then.
Pittauro's reasoning for doing it now is that he can't work right now anyway, and this might help him recover for the last few days in town. I'm willing to replace spending time with Genenieve since that's another relaxation option that isn't winning anyway.

esoteric and tools/chemicals are probably in the upper 50% of what we could've hoped for. I doubt the luxuries will be that much help unless we want to give somebody a gift, I don't envision us being able to sell them for a profit in "The Wald"

shame we didn't get a magical item, but tools/chemical and esoteric should be good too.

Also we really need a "cry" rating. Sandcasting is cursed!
