Something I thought of is that Intruder probably knows our units are CQC spec'd and is purposefully going with a sub-optimal plan to make us use the veto.
If nothing else, Intruder is a massive troll and certainly someone that will try to screw anyone for the sake of amusement. I have no doubt that regardless of our choice, she got something out of it.

The best thing would be if Oreo somehow managed to stumble into some random portal and go to another, less doomed world. Being too close to GF is like getting closer to the eye of the storm.
I here by the way I wondered two questions: will you have a yuri in the quest (that is, whether it is possible here) and whether the game was an opportunity to make a relationship with their T-dolls? In the sense that in the same Azur lane you could take them as wives, and although they do not write about it directly, but it is implied that they have a "rapprochement behind the scenes". Were there opportunities to raise reputations and start a romantic line?
In Girls' Frontline? Where you play as a human commander of Griffin & Kryuger?
There is an Oath/marriage system. If you've played Azur Lane, you'll be familiar with it - once you've raised a doll's "affection" to its maximum (by putting them in nicely decorated dormitories and/or feeding them cake) you can put a ring on it. You get a unique piece of dialogue and a marriage ceremony with your robo-waifu, and the doll gets a stat bonus.
However, that's strictly game mechanics. The main story of Girls' Frontline is, at this point, over a million words long - easily enough for a novel series (which is kind of what it is given the structure of "events"), not counting holiday events, costume and mod stories, etc. There is a lot of ship-teasing from quite a few dolls, particularly in the non-main-story material but AFAIK there is zero mention of the player character going through with the marriage thing.
As for this quest? Will there be romance? I'll say...maybe.
And since she wasn't as cruel as her comrades she promptly deleted her IFF and set herself on fire while smiling for those few microseconds it took to start.
I dunno how much background from GFL proper would be considered spoilers in the context of the quest since we haven't gotten around to learning a lot of the world background yet, but suffice to say: the military has much, much bigger things to worry about than a little AI rebellion, which is why they go "eh let the PMCs deal with it".
Anyway, it was nice to have the setting explained to some degree. What's actually going on, how does Sangvis Ferri view what they're trying to accomplish, that sort of thing.
TBH I wish I had structured the votes in the last update differently. I decided it would make sense - for both Ouroboros and the audience - to have a bit of quiet time to sit down and ask a few questions. In hindsight, it feels rather clumsy to have this much motivated exposition in one update, and I'd rather have broken it up along different points in the story as it became directly relevant. It might have been faster too - part of the reason this update was such a pain was trying to make it all readable, make it flow, arrange it in an order that made sense, etc.
I think it worked out pretty well, but admittedly that's from the perspective who's mostly up to date with the EN side of GFL lore, so most of it is either confirming things I already know or just making reasonable conclusions on what we get ingame like "yeah of course they already have fairy drones" and "the hypest squads in-game would of course be the ringleader-busters in-story".

Well, to be honest, I don't know anything much about that. Mainly because my mind is a mess and probably can't understand what you really mean. But personally, the most recent update was a bit....broken readibility wise? Probably nitpick and just my screen so wide it's become more obvious, but you probably don't need so many spaces. Some stuff you can probably join together to make a better flow, but again, most likely just nitpick from me.
As for the content itself, I probably not really the best to say about it since I knew the lore and the source material well enough I think. Honestly, the most surprising thing in this was that there is actually some human holdout inside the quarantine zone. Would've thought most of them already evacuated but hey, maybe I forgot some tidbits.
Since I have started GFL, like, three weeks ago and my lore knowledge stops at 7-6, I won't stumble my way into this side of discussion.
Narrative-wise, while chapter does convey all the necessary information, it is a bit disjointed. I think it would 've been more natural for Ouro to engage Intruder in one lenghty conversation, transitioning smoothly as new topics come up.
Mission plans could be discussed either immediately, to get it out of the way first, or when the convoy is closing in to AO. As a bonus, it may signal to the reader what priorities Ouroboros has: either eager to strategise and prove her worth or wary of many unknown variables and wishing to clear the picture first.

I'll laugh if her plan was to fake us out by offering up a throw away plan she was counting on us to veto so she could manipulate us into agreeing to a version of her actual plan after gauging our own strategy.
Great. It was well written and told me a lot I didn't know, and you did it in character which not all QMs can manage. You phased it into the trip nicely and Oro getting impatient and demanding they discuss strategy before they'd worked their way through all the question felt like a natural scene. Keep up the good work.

Nah, both of those and more probably be her actual plan. I can see her as one of those memetic mastermind, or at least will bluff/uncaring enough to be one.
Heck, if we're not under time constraint, we probably can suggest using glue and feather to disguise as giant chicken, she probably will just go ahead with that for chuckle and giggle.
[X] Agree with Intruder's plan
-[X] "Very well, I shall lure the enemies Queen forward so that you might check the king, but beware, she will not delay me for long. Be quick or I may move in to claim checkmate myself!"
So that the new Oreo doesn't look like Oro, thus gets her own chance. A hasty decision, but one meant to try and give new-her a fresh slate free of Oreo's actions. At least in the immediate to give her a foot in the door with whoever (probably G&K) found her.
Pretty well I'd say. Exposition dump without killing yourself or the update by making it all dialogue, but including enough dialogue to keep it from feeling like it was just exposition/word vomit.
...You know, I get that Manticore being prototype Walker Tank for the military so SF didn't have them from the start. But why in the name of all that holy SF still don't have other things like Heli, Armoured Transport or similar for some reason? Instead of making more easily breakable dolls, they can just make walker or basic armoured vehicles instead.

Let's just say that Sangvis Ferri does not have unlimited production capacity.
...aaaaaaaand that's all I'll say for now. I've exposition-dumped enough for one update. Better to leave some enticing information to be uncovered in the future.
I mean, we all know that. But considering they can just reproduce military's prototypes like AEGIS and Manticore made me really baffled on why don't make other, simpler things. Beyond gameplay constraint of course. Remember, SF have literal rows of building sized manticores and even bigger Jupiter Cannons to throw around
Though of course, G&F somehow capable of taking those down with just rifles and grenades so probably not great investment in general lol
Anyway, I do hope we succeed in this one without much problem. Simply for the reason that I want to see Oreo riding a Manticore around.
so its a tactical descision then? to forgoe mobility for increased troop density? is fuel the concern? because heavier than air flight is alot more energy intensive that ground based troop transport like trucks and trains.
ringleaders are expensive, but they are people and they already had them. most fighters are cheaper automatons with less moving parts and brains to keep powered..
still a lack of any air feels like a mistake? i guess itd cost to much to build enough to achieve any kind of air superiority...
what about stealth raids?
is sangvis doomed to just get taken out by orbitals if they grow too big?
it feels like the conflict is in service of getting to or keeping an equilibrium.
not to show my own ass again. but both sangvis and the established world order do seem like existential threats to each other. something must give. i guess mastermind/agent have personal goals they are prioritising over that. but id say the material interests of sangvis dolls are something a bit different

I think that combined with answering audience questions, the best parts were when Ouroboros's responses revealed things about her own character. I was kind of joking about the "whoa, Oro is being the sensible one" response, but kind of not... it was really fascinating to see what responses would prompt her to be "the sensible one" and the unexpected side of her that reveals. How many Ringleaders would worry about the long term, about the future and where all this is going beyond the next victory? Most of them... not at all. See how easily Intruder brushed it off. But Ouroboros doesn't want to just score points in various skirmishes, chalk up wins in battles. She wants there to be a grand strategy and she wants to understand what "winning" even means. "What are we even trying to do here?"
Of course a lot of her suggested answers were very scary from a human perspective, but at least she's thinking.

This might be a bit spoiler-y but honestly also not as this is a bit obvious in hindsight and the game also quite obvious about it. There's a reason why the local governments just let G&F to deal with it instead of actually using their military. They just quarantine an area of a very small country and let a PMC to go wild at SF, I think that much indicates enough without giving out too much?
Also yes, there's shenanigans in the world. It's even the entire reason SF exist as Intruder implies.
Don't forget the general... racism(?) against dolls as well.
But yeah, an official military response from any military branch would probably see SF fold like wet cardboard on a strategic level. And on a tactical level for the less... thoughtful and sane ringleaders.

Well that will just have to be Oro's first major contribution. Sneaking behind enemy lines to steal helicopters. Like hell she's going to let the enemy start with pieces she lacks.

Well, Helicopters are pretty fragile all things considered so she probably not really suited for such subterfuge. Let's stick with tanks and mechs for now.
On that not, why we don't have SF mech yet MICCA? I need something to replace my Aegis
Nah, fast and agile is a certain other Ringlearder gimmick with her motorcycle. While not the fastest thing around, Manticore is mobile and tough while still packing punch. It's fit for her Queen or Rook~
"Me? Well…" Intruder rests her head in one hand. "He might not have had the makings of a protagonist, but he was the…the playwright, I suppose. Less dull than the other technicians. On occasion, I picked his brain and he picked my neural cloud. Perhaps, if he had not died when he had, I might have asked…" She trails off.
"...what do you mean, you don't pay attention to any of that?" A doll who does not care for their own self preservation would be utterly unworthy of your respect. And, as personally annoying as Intruder has been so far, she does appear genuinely driven to succeed. Those two aspects do not match up at all.
I imagine an actor who doesn't have a "default" personality doesn't have many attachments to the... paraphernalia. That explains why Intruder plays fast and loose with clones. If you can be whatever you want to be, what does the past matter?
This mindset lends itself to some interesting tactical choices.
I'll pass on the vote. Not enough familiarity with tactics to pick one over the other.
