Ok, since Archer has a shot at winning, I'll switch to
[X] Just beginning Academy
[X] Archer (Style: Flowing Arrows, Esoteric Bonus, Mental Penalty)
[X] Mining (Beginning Skill: Smelting)
[X] Tell Him

I mean, considering this is The Gamer we're talking about, I don't actually expect our starting role to limit us all that much.
This is why I said monk is best. I am guessing they give a +25% to +50% XP bonus and malus to the favored and disfavored option.
Having the bonus be to basic fighting is best since it is probably what we will spend the most time doing.

However, a non optimal choice of healing would still be really good because gamer

Uh, @mrttao, that is interesting speculation. Not what I am assuming, either.
Physical: Meaning STR, END, Etc.
Mental: Meaning INT, WIS, Etc.
Esoteric: Means Jutsu and Chakra Abilities. Also DEX.
From this I assume:
Pick Mental aka medic if you want to learn fast but fail at running or taijutsu.
Meanwhile, picking Archer would give chakra and accuracy, at the cost of being slow to learn and naive.
And Monk would be good at running and fighting but lacking in chakra.

While the style is just what we start out knowing, rather than percentile bonus to learning it.

In this respect, it is interesting that people - even I - pick starting style more on basis on skill than the general bonus, when one can certainly argue that being able to learn quickly is most important in becoming god of ninja or that chakra is the god-stat in naruto without which one usually can't do anything.
Or like you did in arguing that having basic constitution matters most for it is most used.

Small correction:

Pick Medic, if you want to be focused more on tasks and abilities that use your knowledge and insight. This would be things similar to Neji's "super emotion reading", or to take another game example, a Bards Lore check. You have lots of knowledge, trivia, so sometimes you just 'know' things. Medic also has the worst Byakugan range affinity, but the best fine detail affinity. Also, as long as you don't over spend yourself, minor cuts/wounds/simple fractures are not an issue. You won't be treating massive trauma, but unless some one loses a limb, they'll be fine.

Pick Monk if you want to be Canon Hinata. The Gentle Fist training is no less strenuous relatively than Goken, just in different ways. You'll be exceptionally fit, and take better to physical arts, run faster, jump higher, dodge quicker. And well, Canon Hinata.

Pick Archer if you want to be ranged support/artillery. Jutsu are easier, with less penalties for getting out of your elemental chakra affinity. Larger Chakra reserves will allow you to spend more chakra on everything all around, while better control and intuition will allow you to get more creative with chakra usage. Your byakugan's fine detail affinity is the lowest, but your range is the best of all three choices. Want to put a feathered stick in a target thats on the other side of 3 miles of rough forest? You can do that.

Well the more badass ninja would be very likely able to hear/sense the arrow coming and dodge it. Just look at Neji's fight with Kidomaru for some examples.

The other options are pretty great too.

I understand that this is the intent, but do they actually provide a unique perk that cannot be otherwise acquired that is not just +X% training rate?
Because if they are just +x% training -X% training then its just hours. so instead of spending 10 hours on tai and 10 hours on gen, we spend 5 hours on tai and 15 hours on gen (hypothetically) for the same result.

Presumably bow training and techniques. That's not just something you can pick up. Same with medical jutsu for the medic.

And the thing about high level archery? Is that with a good enough bow and insight into your opponent's movement you can assassinate them from miles away. Like a ninja should be able to do.
"You are within my field of divination," Hinata whispers quietly to herself.

Well beyond the gates of Konoha, an invading Sound ninja's heart suddenly stops.

Hinata takes a sip of her tea and continues watching Naruto's fight against Neji-nii-san.
"You are within my field of divination" indeed.

As a Non-Medic, you could learn Basic Medical Jutsu.

As a Non-Monk, You'll still have a basic grasp of Jyuuken (Hyuuga teach it to all family members, after all.)

As a Non-Archer, you could pick up a bow.

The difference is in the high end.

A non-Medic won't come within sight distance of Tsunade, PostTime-skip!Sakura or Shizune.

A non-Monk can't get something like Canon Hinata's Lionsfist technique.

A non-Archer isn't going to weave an arrow in-around-through rough terrain to hit something that's never even seen her.

Indeed for civilians, but I agree with earlier opinions that for ninja it is probably not so easy :) Iirc @Emperor Tippy has addressed ninja's speed feats at length.

For ninja to ninja battles, I imagine something more like Kidomaru-Neji battle as attrition fight, or Temari versus Shikamaru as distance control one, at least as far as early game goes.

[X] Tell Him

"F-Father, there are..." The young girl hesitates a moment, trying to gather her thoughts. "Ah...there are...words...floating in the air above your head."

"Indeed?" He replied back, continuing without a visible reaction to this startling revelation. "And what do these...words, say?"

Hinata began to get the sneaking suspicion that her Father was not taking her seriously. "They have some strange symbol or word that I don't know, then a pair of question marks, then your name on the first line. The second line says 'Head of the Hyuuga Clan'." She reported dutifully, sitting more rigidly and no longer trying to peer at her father, now that she had admitted to both her Father and herself that she was seeing them.

There was a long silence, save for the movement of sleeves and the clinking of chopsticks on bowls, as the two of them ate quietly.

Finally, her Father set down his bowl and responded with merely a cryptic, "...I see."

The silence stretched out again, as she worked to finish the last of her meal quickly and politely. When she was done, Father stood from his seat at the table in a single flowing motion, which Hinata attempted to emulate as she herself got up (she did NOT scramble, Hyuuga do not scramble.) When she was on her feet, her Father turned and glided towards the door. "Ah, F-Father...!"

"Don't be late for your classes, Hinata." Father said in an uncolored tone of finality, and then he was gone.

Hinata sighed quietly at the dismissal.

It did not take her long to gather her belongings, and soon she was leaving the Hyuuga compound and moving toward the academy. Looking this way and that, she searched, but didn't see anymore of those strange floating words. She was just about ready to put it down to her imagination when she arrived at the academy.

But, she hadn't gone two steps when she was passed by a wild looking boy in a furred coat, and she stopped in her tracks.

[Lvl 2, Inuzuka Kiba]
[Brother of the Pack]
"Wha..." She followed the boy to the classroom, her own classroom Hinata noted, where he entered and sat down. Hinata slipped into the class and eased down into a seat near the back. She stifled a squeak of surprise at how many were in the one room. Uchiha Sasuke. Yamanaka Ino. Aburame Shino. Even the Teacher had one.

[Lvl ?? Umino Iruka]
[Strict Teacher]

"Is everyone here? Ok, all of you, settle down so I can take attendance."

The door next to her slammed open, drawing yet another squeak from Hinata as the loud noise startled her, "I'M HERE, TEACHER! I'M NOT LATE, RIGHT!" Hinata looked over...

...And saw him. He had a pair of dark green goggles strapped to his head, and a bright orange jumpsuit that was only outdone by the brightness of his blond hair. His face was screwed up with a triumphant grin, even though he was breathing slightly hard as though he had just won a race. Then she looked up.

[Lvl 5, Uzumaki Naruto]
[The Sacrificial Vessel that Saved Konoha]

Hinata's young mind was whirling from trying to puzzle out these strange titles people had. It was only certain people, she noticed, though she couldn't puzzle out what quality all of them possessed. It seemed almost random at times. The most intimidating one though had to be when the Hokage himself arrived to give his inaugural speech for the beginning of the year. He had a Title as well, though instead of that strange symbol she still couldn't quite figure out, his had a small emblem of the Kage Hat, surrounded by fierce flames.
[THIRD HOKAGE, SARUTOBI HIRUZEN]
[The Professor, God of Shinobi]
She was relieved when he finally finished his speech and they were released for the day. They were let out into the Academy's front lawn to await their parents, and almost immediately groups began to gather and split off into various games, races, or just standing and talking together.

There was a large group of girls from class all chattering together, a mixed group playing with some sort of ball, and the boys mock fighting.

Hinata takes a moment to sit against a low wall, trying to sort the things she has seen today. Though, it might be fun to try and gain a few friends. The Clan had standards to uphold, but surely she couldn't be faulted for interacting with her peers?

[As a Reminder: Your current Age is 10]
[ ] Try talking to the girls (Ino, Sakura)
[ ] Go check out the mixed group (Chouji, Shikamaru, Shino)
[ ] Observe the Boys (Naruto, Sasuke, Kiba)
[ ] Just wait for your Father, you've got a lot on your mind right now. (Gather your thoughts)

Father arrives with a retainer to collect her rather late, most of the others have been picked up by then. He motions Hinata to follow, and then turns and glides away, as she is used to. She begins to follow him, but can't help looking back and seeing a solitary figure sitting alone.

Bright Orange and Brighter Blond. But, his muted expression following the other children leaving with their parents seems to wash the colors out. Then, he notices her looking at him, and with almost a startled look on his face, he gives her a cheeky grin that doesn't fully reach his eyes.

"Come along, Hinata-sama." the Retainer reminds her. She jerks, as though caught in a daze, but the moment, and Naruto are both gone when she checks again.

If it had been counted (which it wasn't, I double checked) they would have tied anyway with it's removal, and then it would have been the tie breaker.

Good eye though.
