eh, depends; in "Class-games" you rarely get skills outside your chosen class. this obviously isn't the vanilia system or we wouldn't get a class choice.

I really hope Monk Wins. Finding a Taijutsu centered Naruto quest is ridiculously hard and I would hate for miss out on learning and abusing the deadliest Taijutsu Style in the world.

I think Monk really suits Hinata. It's the more Neutral Path in my opinion. Monks are both very peaceful and caring to others, but also incredible badasses when needed.

For Reference: There are already Ninja Monks at the Fire Temple. They get access to what I believe is much water-downed Nature Chakra. They can also create their own Sussano Variant.

Naruto Monks are scary people and I think Hinata would fit their mentality well.

No, Monk is canon Hinata, not religious Hinata.

yes, monks ARE scary, but every legendery ninja needs their own niche, & how many archers are in Naruto?

None. They tend to die alot. Monks on the other hand.....well....they are just lesser Sages, and we all know how dangerous Sages are in Naruto.

I'd argue that Kidomaru is an archer. He had to have trained with a bow at some point in his life. It's also funny because Kidomaru was a total gamer geek, pretending that his opponents were playing games and leveling up.

None of the choices are negative in ninja-land, and definitely none of the choices are negative when you consider the Gamer is involved. I'd prefer the other two choices over Medic simply because that way lies the land of poorly developed or forgotten female characters in Kishimoto land, and I'd prefer this to stay away from it.

What monks can do in story has fuckall to do with what the Monk choice is.

It's the primary combat role, so obfuscating by bringing up the canon monks is pretty disingenuous.

Dude. All I'm doing is pointing out what Monks could do. Everyone was bring up the Archer choice as being Similar to EMIYA in what Hinata could eventually do in that path.

Yes The QM said we would not be EMIYA and that's fine. They still gave us a better idea of what we could do in that class as have other people in thread.

Medic doesn't have to be talked about, as the entire series is filled with Badass Medics, and everyone knows already what they could do.

But No One brought up what the Monk Option Might Let Us Do. MIGHT. All I'm doing is throwing out ideas about what the choice could lead too and sharing why I voted for it.

The hostility is uncalled for.

No, you're bringing up what monks in the setting can do. Which, again, is not what the Monk option is.

To quote the author:
Archer means just that. An Archer. You would have a Bow. It might shoot Regular Wooden/Steel/<Insert fantasy metal> Arrows, it might shoot Pure Chakra Arrows. Either way, it's a Bow and it shoots arrows. It's not a Sword-spamming Magic, it's not Gate of Babylon.
This is essentially what I am doing for you. Pointing out the folly of using associated names as a basis for what the choice does. "Monk is Canon." As in, gentle fist taijutsu user. Not potential ninja-monk that meditates every day to get Walmart Brand Sage Mode.
But No One brought up what the Monk Option Might Let Us Do. MIGHT. All I'm doing is throwing out ideas about what the choice could lead too and sharing why I voted for it.
Because we don't need to talk about what Monk might do for us, because we've seen it. Since it's canon.
The hostility is uncalled for.
I disagree that I'm being hostile. You're either mistaken about what the Monk option does, and thus need to be corrected, or you're intentionally trying to mislead people to vote for it because it's what you want to win.

I read a story long ago where the Hyuuga clan started out as archers, using their bullshit eyes to snipe people from completely bullshit circumstances. I don't even remember what the story was called or what it was about anymore, but man that image was cool.

Clearly we need to find some way to make intangible volleys of arrows to strike our enemies. Imagine being able to just shoot through mountains.

"You are within my field of divination," Hinata whispers quietly to herself.

Well beyond the gates of Konoha, an invading Sound ninja's heart suddenly stops.

Hinata takes a sip of her tea and continues watching Naruto's fight against Neji-nii-san.

Okay then. Please. Tell me what the Monk Option is. If I am wrong then I legitimately want to know.

I brought up the Monks references because they were only shown for a single episode where Chiriku fought the Zombie brothers. Unless you count the Sora episodes, but even that doesn't show much. Compared to the other options I thought some people might have forgotten or simply not known what they could do because of it's relative obscurity.

I am in no way trying to sway votes with false information, if it seems like I am then I apologize, that was not my intention. I don't mind being corrected, but doing so in such a makes rough manner, it appears as though you are being deliberately hostile.

Monk is literally the gentle fist that Hinata uses in canon. It has nothing to do with the religious order in Naruto.

I don't think he was being hostile. He was just trying to correct your interpretation of the OP's class as not being related to the monks from that one episode.

Monk is simply the title he chose for the fighter class. It wasn't meant to have any connection to those guys.

Now. That doesn't mean that we won't encounter the Fire Temple Monks and learn from them at some point, but that would likely require becoming more than a monk in name only.
